How beautiful! Last night at Mass I noticed the young priest peering down at me from the altar. I wondered why he was doing this and it was only much later I understood that it was probably that I was wearing a black t shirt with the image of Our Lady upon it. Why do I wear such things? Not as a statement I think but simply as an act of love. It is like wearing medals of the Virgin or scapulars. It does affect others several strangers have stopped me to say how much they appreciate this. One woman was crying as she spoke. Everywhere Mary walks is beauty.
That's wonderful, non sum dignus. Really well done. I've listened several times and sent it on to some friends who aren't on the forum.
Archbishop Sheen had a wonderful talk called " The Woman I Love" He had a very strong devotion to Mary. Every good priest does it seems to me.
If any Catholic told me he or she was not deeply in love with Our Blessed Mother I would be deeply, deeply concerned.
There is a man on you tube who calls himself a bishop.he is not catholic he name is mari mari I think.i do not know much about him and I would always be wary of non catholic preaching but I listened to a talk he had about Mary.WOW the love and respect he had for her is amazing.
The more I learn of the Orthodox churches and the Copts, the more I realise their beliefs, customs and traditions are far less distant from the Catholic Church than are those of the Protestants.
The more I listen to Father Charron, the more I understand how little I know about the complicated relationship there is between Rome and Orthodoxy and Eastern Rites generally. In fact I understand that I understand nothing at all. Which is a good place to start.##
