I still think this was all a game for Trump and he will bow out at some point. Now that it is getting serious I would think he is questioning personally whether he wants to go through with this or not. Time will tell obviously.
Oh no. His ego and narcissism is to much in play for him to retreat. He loves power and control to much. He's in it to win it.
Someone once wrote that men always remain something of a child. Perhaps there is some truth in this, I don't know. But in the case of Donald it is oh so true. He remains a child, or at least an adolescent in a man's body which makes him a danger to all around him. I am never quite sure why this should be so, that some men and women remain frozen at one stage of development in the past, but it is so. I must try and read a good bio on him.
But if the economic crash comes soon it is a sure fire bet he will be elected , economic and social chaos were invented for guys like him, he will be a shoe in. As President he will divide folks, not unite them.
Odd you say this. Just last night when I was listening to WSJ's Roku channel on Russia's interest in the Baltic and trying to undo NATO, and listening to an analyst saying how Putin knows he has this year to act under our current lame duck administration, I felt strongly, "if Trump gets in he wouldn't hesitate to push a button if overcome by a rage he couldn't control." Maybe Russia is afraid of the same. Maybe if Trump's nomination looks ever more likely in the coming months Russia will become exceptionally bold, fearing him even more than we do.

The list goes on, shall we go all the way back to the Punic Wars? It's amazing how speculation is made about how bad of a president a candidate may be should he get elected, while the one that has been there since 2008 is the worst ever in history.
That's the problem. He's forcing us to speculate. Even the Wall Street Journal and Fox News can't sort through all his bluster and vulgarity to find anything of substance beyond the populist rant. And it isn't reasonable that we should give the next president a free pass because the previous one was "the worst ever in history."
so HAPPY Rubio is being endorsed by Gov Haley and Tim Scott....in my mind, he is the ONLY viable candidate

Hi all, Just popping in again after a long time gone. And this is why...Padraig I completely agree with you. I've been watching EWTN a little more than usual lately and every priest that comes on has a heightened sense of urgency when they talk about Divine Mercy. The Pope, as soon as he announced this year of mercy, it came to me that this was no coincidence. Many of us have been thinking that things are going to happen soon. But you can feel the tension now among all the charismatic speakers, the mystics, when you look at what's going on in the campaigns for president and all that boloney, this is just coming to a head quickly. I've been very busy with a demanding job but I'm on a sabbatical at the moment, which is a nice way to say I'm looking for new work again. So I'll probably be hanging out here more often again. I'm not totally unemployed but I am for the most part because the company I work for doesn't have any new contracts so they had to lay off several of us who were doing writing and training for them.
Beginning to wonder? I wondered that ever since he got serious here about gaining power. He's the biggest bully I've ever seen and we are so against bullying in our schools now that it's almost gotten ridiculous. You can't do anything anymore, kids get in trouble for little tiny things that they do that really isn't bullying at all, just perhaps correcting or something, and yet they're going to allow this guy to run the country? Its just one thing but that's one thing that irritates me because I'm a teacher. If something happens and he gets hurt by someone and it's a head wound and he suddenly miraculously recovers from it, well then I'm really going to get worried.
I totally get this push the button and rage thing... I'd be worried about it to if he were king or dictator. But remember, military are not obliged to follow a directive if they do not believe it is right. There are some checks and balances there.
