    That’s a really good idea.

I wanted to highlight something that wasn’t really a message per se from Our Lord or Our Lady, but is still topical to Holy Communion. Does Heaven approve of Communion in the hand? The visionaries of Garabandal tell us no!

Submission to legitimate spiritual and ecclesial authority is very important, even when frustrating and difficult.

There are MANY rejections of Communion in the Hand in the messages of today's prophets. Of course, many are far from approved. It will take years! Speaking of Communion in the hand, today's norm, they will not be approved. After all, this situation was forced on us post-Vatican II. Several 'prophets' are followed by contributors to this forum.
    Just a few:
Maria Simma is well accepted. She speaks of bishops in purgatory till Communion in the hand is forbidden in their diocese, of eucharistic ministers in deep purgatory with burning hands (p 68 & 53 Eltz Interviews with MS)
Our Lady to Pastor Enoch 17 March 2021
    Valentina {eg 26/1/2006, 16/3/2007, 14/8/2009}
Lorena 16 Feb 2022 : "THIS SIN OF SACRILEGE AGAINST MY SACRED BODY IS UNIMAGINABLE !!! The Reality of This Sin Practiced at Mass today where the People Commit Sacrilege by Taking Me in their Hands, is INCONCEIVABLE TO MY FATHER! "
Catalina Rivas also! "There are neither 10 nor 20 executioners who hit My Body, but many hands that hurt My Body by receiving Communion in their hand - the sacrilegious work of Satan."
Authorities will tell us, these are the musings of a "Conservative" mind!
It was an aim of the Freemasons, well documented [1925], to promote Communion in the Hand in order to create disbelief in the minds of Catholics in the Real Presence. They started with the Anglicans. In conquering Catholicism, they have succeeded! Pity the bishops who promoted this (to save 2 minutes at mass!)

Like Trump & co on abortion, it will take a radical truth-speaking Pope guided by the Holy Spirit to return us to the obvious truth, a rejection of modernist rationalism ["the Early Church did it"] that this is the Body of Christ, to be receieved with unparalleled respect, in a state of grace, from an ordained priest, not by an extraordinary spinster!
The Martyr and Holy Cardinal John Fisher 1535: "The times of flourishing or collapse within the history of the Church, were always associated with the handling of the Holy Eucharist."

To be honest, I also see Holy Communion in the hand as sacrilege.
I myself didn't have any catechism lessons in my youth.
My mother went to school long before the council. Back then, it was normal for catechism to be taught in religious education at school. Despite her dementia, my mother had always internalised that ‘every little part of the consecrated host contains the whole of Jesus’.
And I see it the same way. The handling of the consecrated host is what bothers me most about the Novus Ordo and where there is a big difference to the TLM.

So, here is this week’s edition of topical messages from Heaven: confession and penance. In response to some constructive criticism, I’ve placed the messages of less repute at the bottom with question marks beside them.

    What Mary wants most
Mari-Loli: “What is the Blessed Virgin urging the Spaniards to do above all to amend themselves?”
Mary: “That they go to confession and receive Communion.”
    - Conversation between Our Lady and Mari-Loli of Garabandal, September 8, 1961

    Most important duty
“For quite a while, and in many a way, I have warned the world. The nation’s rulers do indeed understand the gravity of these dangers, but they refuse to acknowledge that it is necessary for all people to practice a truly Christian life to counteract that scourge. O what torture I feel in my Heart, on beholding mankind so engrossed in all kinds of things and completely ignoring the most important duty of their reconciliation with God. If possible, publish this message throughout the world, and admonish all the people to do penance and to return right away to God. Cry out until the priests of God lend their ears to my voice, to advise men that the time is near at hand, and if men do not return to God with prayers and penances, the world will be overturned in a new and more terrible war. Prayers and penances are necessary because men must return to God and to My Immaculate Heart - the Mediatrix of men to God, and thus the world will be at least in part saved.”
    - Our Lady to Bl. Elena Aiello, April 16, 1954

    Satan wants to destroy Confession
“The devil will make a great effort to destroy the Sacrament of Confession by means of people in positions of authority.”
    - Our Lady to Mariana de Jesus Torres, December 8, 1634

    Priest is proxy for Jesus
“When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you. I am only hidden by the priest, but I myself act in your soul. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy. Tell souls that from this fount of mercy souls draw graces solely with the vessel of trust. If their trust is great, there is no limit to My generosity. The torrents of grace inundate humble souls. The proud remain always in poverty and misery, because My grace turns away from them to humble souls.”
    - Our Lord to St. Faustina

    First Five Saturdays
“Say to all in my name that those who, for five months, on the first Saturday, confess, receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary and keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, in a spirit of reparation: I promise to assist at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for the salvation of their souls.”
    - Our Lady of Fatima, December 10, 1925

Plenary Indulgence on Divine Mercy Sunday
“My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy.”
    - Our Lord to St. Faustina

    Penance during Advent
"The people should do more penances and pray with perseverance; in the Christmas time the people should venerate the Holy Family more and recite the Holy Rosary every day, moreover one should practice every day a contemplation on the Heart of Mary Most Holy.”
    - Our Lady of Heroldsbach, December 25, 1949

    Salvation contingent on penance
“I promised them salvation if they did penance.”
    - Our Lady to Marie-Julie Jahenney, November 29, 1877

    Penance and prayer
“Penance! Penance! Penance! Pray to God for sinners.”
    - Our Lady of Lourdes, February 24, 1858

    Penance by punishment
“The others will do penance through famine.”
    - Our Lady of La Salette, September 19, 1846

    Penance appeases Heaven
“Penance! My child, penance! My dear children, I beg you to pray well and to do penance. It is through prayer and penance that you will appease the vengeance of Heaven.”
    - Our Lady of Tilly, July 16, 1896

    Penance must bend Divine Wrath
“Before peace flourishes again upon the earth, a great penance must bend Divine Anger.”
    - Saint Michael the Archangel to Marie-Julie Jahenney, May 25, 1877

    Indulge in penance
“O my children, pray, pray, indulge in penance.”
    - Our Lady of Tilly, January 31, 1903

Mary is close to those who repent
“Repent, do penance for the salvation of others. I will always be close to you. Do penance with pure love, be obedient to the true guardian of the Heavenly Court on earth, the Pope, to transform the sinful flesh from sin to sanctity. Call me Mother, as you always do. I am the Mother in the mystery that will be revealed before the end. Do penance. Only the Saints among you in the hermitages, the convents, and every other place hold back the destructive ire of divine justice. This is a terrible time. For that day is coming when the virgins and whoever serves God in spirit and not according to the flesh, will take upon themselves part of the scourge that will soon descend upon the earth. There is still time for sinners to repent and to place their whole lives under my mantle so that they are saved. Go to the loving Heart of Jesus, my legitimate Son, be overflowing with love. Wash yourselves in His Blood of divine justification and redemption.”
    - Our Lady of Tre Fontane, April 12, 1947

    The Fatima message
"Men did not listen to my Most Holy Mother when she appeared in Fatima and exhorted them to penance. Now I come Myself at the last minute to warn men. The times are serious. Men must do penance, turn away from all their heart from their sins; they must pray, in order to appease the wrath of God.”
    - Our Lord to Margaret Ganesforth and Greta Ganesforth of Heede, 1945

    Mary calls us to penance
"I have come to exhort the people to prayer and penance.”
    - Our Lady of Heroldsbach, October 21, 1949

    Mary’s message to the world
“You must make many sacrifices, preform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, you must lead good lives. If you do not, a chastisement will befall you! The cup is already filling up. If you do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon you!”
    - Our Lady of Garabandal, July 4, 1961

Woe to those who do not repent
“Woe to sinners who will live still in sin without having offered penance!”
    - Our Lord to Sr. Jeanne Royer

Could have mitigated World War II
“If men do penance, the war will end in two months, otherwise a little less than two years."
    - Our Lady of Bonate, May 15, 1944

    Do not fall asleep
“Convert and do penance! Do not fall asleep as My disciples did in the Garden of Olives, for I am very close. The Anger of the Father against Humankind is very great.”
    - Our Lord to Marie-Julie Jahenney, date unknown

    Priests must do penance
“Dear sons, I ask you to practice self-denial and penance in a special manner, because it is you who must lead my children in the way of peace. If, therefore, you love my Son and wish to honor me, heed my admonition and be the first to give the example of a life of penance and self-denial. Thus, by sanctification from within you, you will become a bright and burning light to the faithful, who look to you for help and guidance.“
    - Our Lady of America, September 1957

    Triumph can be hastened penance
“Pray and do penance, my sweet child, that this may come to pass. Trust me and love me; I so desire it. Do not forger your poor Mother, who weeps over the loss of so many of her children.”
    - Our Lady of America, January 1957

    Empty confessionals predicted
“My children, in this unfortunate time, days of abstinence are no longer kept. My children work on Sundays! Soon they will see no more than a few Christians attend services! The confessionals will be empty. My children, it is blasphemy that brings hell on earth.”
    - Our Lady to Marie-Julie Jahenney, August 9, 1881

    Most sins committed at nighttime
Mari-Loli: “Why do these things (the apparitions) occur at night?”
Mary: “It is at that time most of the sins of the world are committed. [You] should do penance.”
    - Conversation between Our Lady and Mari-Loli of Garabandal, September 1961

    Chastisements conditional on penance
“If, when you say to the people what I have said to you so far, and what I will still ask you to say, if, after that, they do not convert, (if they do not do penance, and they do not cease working on Sunday, and if they continue to blaspheme the Holy Name of God), in a word, if the face of the earth does not change, God will be avenged against the people ungrateful and slave of the demon.”
    - Our Lady of La Salette, September 19, 1846

    America must do penance
“My beloved daughter, what I am about to tell you concerns in a particular way my children in America. Unless they do penance by mortification and self-denial and thus reform their lives, God will visit them with punishments hitherto unknown to them. My child, there will be peace, as has been promised, but not until my children are purified and cleansed from defilement, and clothed thus with the white garment of grace, are made ready to receive this peace, so long promised and so long held back because of the sins of men. My dear children, either you will do as I desire and reform your lives, or God Himself will need to cleanse you in the fires of untold punishment. You must be prepared to receive His great gift of peace. If you will not prepare yourselves, God will Himself be forced to do so in His justice and mercy.”

Wicked priests will break confessional seal
“I can tell you that there are many priests in France, and outside of France, who (will) have no shame to violate - in the days of terror - the secrets of the confessional, spoiling the Faith, defiling the Church.”
    - Our Lady to Marie-Julie Jahenney, September 19, 1881

Priests will loose respect for sacrament
“They lose their respect even in confessionals! They come out of the boundaries the Church imposes on them, and they are cause of a great part of the offenses made to her.”
    - Our Lord to Marie-Julie Jahenney, September 21, 1881

    Confess: Chastisement is soon

“Ask the Eternal Father for forgiveness, and do penance and prayer.”
    - Our Lady of Ezquioga, May 8, 1932

    Everyone receives enough light (???)
“I give everyone light, mercifully sufficient, so that they be aware of the great eternity, but penance daunts them. Aye, aye! For those who do no penance.”
    - Our Lord to Benita Aguirre of Ezquioga, August 23, 1933

Religious are called to penance (???)
“My daughters in the Carmel of Lipa are called to meet to that commitment through penance and sacrifice for the salvation of the world.”
    - Our Lady of Lipa, September 20, 1948

Chastisement is conditional on penance (???)
“Nevertheless look at the horizon, well beyond the big clouds and you will see a dim light which will shine out on a day not too far distant; this will be your deliverance, leading to the end of the war, but if the world does not do penance and return to God, fresh and more severe punishments are to be expected.”
    - Our Lady of Kerizinen, February 2, 1944

Peace will come via penance (???)
“You will soon obtain peace if you know how to acquire it, which is that the people must lead a life of prayer, sacrifice and penance and that above all the children be gathered together very frequently to pray and to recite the Rosary.”
    - Our Lady of Kerizinen, October 7, 1939

Once God purifies the Church we'll all be on our knees on the Communion rails. Good on those that go to the Novus Ordo & do this already. I don't feel confident, I feel like I'll accidentally miss the Host & it will land on the floor. So much easier to receive the Eucharist kneeling with the dish to catch the Host at the TLM...

I also avoid receiving Communion from a Eucharistic Minister. I know most keep in a state of Grace (I would hope so, anyway) but let's just say I've spoken to two Eucharistic Ministers & was in shock of what they are doing in their personal lives... Not being judgemental, it just didn't sit right with me for distribution of the Holy Eucharist.

At least if a priest feels he's failing he can quickly confess to his brother priest before handing out the Eucharist. Or, I think it would work this way...
