Soon after the last vote was cast, the Kiev military descended on the southeast with new energy, shelling Slavyansk and attacking the airport in Donetsk with mortars. According to the prime minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Aleksandr Boroday, 100 self-defense forces and civilians died in Donetsk during the attack. Donetsk authorities reported that about 40 people died and 43 others were injured. In Slavyansk, at least three civilians died, including one woman. “We see what that means today – shelling against civilians, bombs that fall near occupied apartment blocks, fighter jets, and helicopter launches against an urban population,” analyst Daniel Patrick Welch told RT, adding that talks were never part of Poroshenko's plan.

These locutions are plainly false with many nonsense contents. For me, the only authentic apparition remaining in the world is the one from garabandal.
To claim that hung and to believe in Garabandal is quite a contradiction then. Garabandal is clearly end times prophecy so to say there is no other end time prophecy going on in the world goes against Acts 2: [16] But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel: [17] And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord,) I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. My difficulty with them is that they are so specific to the top news stories- while I want to believe Jesus really is that opposed to Obama and predicted the Hobby Lobby decision the day before (even though it was posted the day after) it all just reads like Fox News or EWTN. Some of the messages I find inspiring, others I question. I do keep reading them and I have never found anything against the Magesterium as far as I can tell but I still testing the spirits here.
I think the pope nails it here and sums up all the reason why LTTW isn't authentic in my opinion. There is no wisdom conveyed in them only worldy curiosity. And the LTTW messages for me anyway, don't leave any lasting impression in my mind or heart, they don't steer me to improve myself or save souls. The giver of the locution that first day is not indicated. Confusion. A lie mixed in with the words. Anyone see this? I pray the good Monsignor Essef is discerning with a Holy Superior. As for us; "Pray, pray, pray." All of us would do well to offer a rosary for him.

Just look at the confusion some purported visions of Mary (and Jesus for that matter) have caused on our humble little forum here. If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere. Discernment is talked about a lot but not exercised enough. I think it is very easy to get carried away. When in doubt, return to the Gospels and ask for help via prayer.
The Maria Divine Mercy , 'Messages ' were diabolic. There is not doubt about it, plus they were condemned by the Church. I was just curious to see if anyone still followed them. I am glad there is no one doing so. At least nearly no one.

The "one thing that keeps them going" is their accuracy for the importance of today's happenings BEFORE they come to be! Also, unlike the vast majority of commenters who have no background for discerning such things with any long time experience of such, Msgr Esseff is a trusted, well experienced spiritual director for decades of all levels of spiritual gifts within his directees....trusted still by the Church for the formation within seminaries today and still giving retreats such as those of Divine Mercy et al. Unlike the ongoing and useless usual gossip about the truly inauthentic messages of the day which are easily and accurately denounced by those with acquaintance of the ongoing facts of daily events in the news, these do not simply expound on what is already known via google links or repetition of respected mystics of old, these are a wholly different approach to the immediacy of a crumbling world. Such a time demands this direct intervention of The Mother with a necessary wake up shaking of the paralyzed....esp. the paralyzed luke warm within the Church. It's what the faithful know through the Holy Spirit but feel they must wait forever upon those who deny heaven's own direction via this Woman (and such ignoring has now gone on for decades)...Mother of God for heavens sake....."Woman Clothed With the Sun" WHO WILL crush Satan's head which must be done soon. People don't listen at their own peril for we already have serious direction which HAS NOT been heeded; not taught (last time you've heard emphasis upon the 5 first Sat. to save the world by the Shepherds??). The Mother now depends upon us, the intended, to get these words via her humble child out to all. Rather than more fear and hesitation and more loss of faith by the current generations these words of direction for the whole world need to get out there by our efforts if our love is true and active! ....and P.S.....why in the world are people actually "voting" on authenticity of mystical messages? Since when is the veil removed other than by the Holy Spirit for those who are open to heaven's needs? It's not exactly a democratic method being used for revelation, demanding an answer that comes from some democratic poll :^((
Padraig, I don't know about LTTW as I don't follow them. They may be legitimate visions. I do think the pope makes a great point. No matter what, we all need to be careful about jumping in with both feet where visionaries are concerned.
They are not "visions" but locutions, for some time but mostly personal and not for the world until more recently and discerned as such to be exposed now by an expert with decades of experience in spiritual direction (locutionist under his direction for years)....a former spiritual advisor for Mother Theresa, trusted with direction in retreats for her sisters in various places in the world, as well as one who was also under direction of P. Pio in his (Msgr Esseff's) early priestly life. When it comes to discernment qualifications you have to wonder just what would please the hesitant and fickle and admittedly inexperienced if those trusted by the Church with their own decades of experience in such matters are doubted. If most are waiting for assurances from angels, personally, I'm afraid they'll be forever left "waiting for godot". ;^))

I have been traveling for the past three weeks. Missouri, Colorado and Wyoming and Missoula, MT. I spent an incredible two days with a priest in St. Louis who is a mystic. He gave a talk at one of his parishes and spoke about our Lady's apparitions, refuges, the end times, the persecution and prayer. I was stunned. It was one of the most comprehensive, in-depth and spiritually enlightening talks I have heard in a long, long time!! There were TWENTY people THERE!!!! TWENTY!! People just don't think these things are 'relevant' to their lives right now where 'they are at'.... Then I went on to hear Fr. Ianuzzi speak on the writings of Servant of God Louisa Piccaretta. BRILLIANT. SIMPLY BRILLIANT. The WHOLE Church will be living this BECAUSE this is JESUS' REQUEST---On Earth, As it is IN HEAVEN. Pope Benedict propagated Louisa's messages just as Saint JPII propagated Sister Faustina's writings. Two things that were VERY exciting that Fr. Ianuzzi is doing is this: 1. He will be studying and formally investigating Little Audry Santos of Florida. 2. He will be studying and formally investigating Maria Esperanza. 3. His next book will be on the possibilities of Extra Terrestrial Life, as written by the Saints and mystics. 4. I personally asked him if he liked the writings of Maria Valtorta and Poem of the Man God. He stated that he liked them very much! I asked him if he had read Bishop Roman Danylak's defense of the Poem? http://www.sacredheartofjesus.ca/MariaValtorta/M A R I A.htm He said he had read it and it was spot on! Maria Valtorta has a book that was published by Editions Paulines in Sherbrooke, Quebec (Canada). It is out of print. It is called, THE END TIMES as revealed to Maria Valtorta. It was given to me to read on this trip and I can say it is absolutely incredible. Jesus speaks familiarly, compassionately and sternly and in detail about what is to happen during this time. What is incredible is also that it was written in 1942 and it seems like it is something that was written for RIGHT NOW. Cloning, the anti-christ forerunners, the Church, the Era of Peace, His mercy etc. Of all the writings of Maria's only a SMALL part has been translated, including the poem, which is five huge volumes! I was particularly impressed comparing it to what Louisa Piccarreta's mystical relationship and Jesus' words to her were. So MANY parallels! My head is reeling with joy and sorrow and fortitude. I particularly wanted to say that the reason I bring this up is that the 'FORM AND DOCTRINE' in which the Church (Theologians/Priests/Bishops) judges locutions/messages is solid. Form has to do with grammar, sentence structure, outline of events, the education of the individual receiving the messages and timing and more. Doctrine involves is it old or new revelation? In union with Church teaching? How does Jesus/Mary/Saints/Angels present themselves? Is the message relevant? I am no theologian. I did however pick up Jesus and Mary's voice in Maria Valtorta's writings and the LTTW writings are very similar. Direct, familiar, pleading and the all too familiar, "Why aren't you listening? Pay attention! I say this so that you will recognize events when they come and you will know what is happening and you will continue to be in my Will and will trust that I will continue to unfold events and you will continue to trust and pray and sacrifice for what NEEDS to happen to purify the world and each one of you!" If we are to live with our eyes, our mind, our ears and our words being 'in the mind of Christ, seeing what He sees, hearing what He hears etc., this is how he speaks. Louisa P. and the Divine Will is the 'GIFT' of these times. The DEVOTION of all devotions. Then I went to a life in the Spirit weekend with Stella Davis! Man oh man!! I've got a fire under me that may never go out!!
Wow! Wow! Wow! So very interesting and inviting. Fr. Iannuzzi is a great gift....one of the few Theologians of Eschatology. That's probably a good thing these days. He goes directly to the heart of things always guided by the gifts of the early Church Fathers and recognized mystics while his gift of interpreting without hesitation informs quickly. Just the fact that he's so personally interested without hesitation is exciting. Receiving your "vibes" from your meeting, your readings of Poem, etc. excites the hearts of all who may be small in number but mighty in thankfulness! There is another he backs (along with Frs. Jozo and Petar of Medj as well Laurentin) whom I feel has another great mission for unity of the East and West and who feels that Pope Francis (after a meeting while still Cardinal in Argentina) will enable this other request from heaven, but I won't mention for fear of inciting an unholy riot here!
