All this reminds me of a squirming nest of worms and reminds me of the saying, 'Oh what a fragile web we weave when first we practice to deceive.
One of my wife's friends has recently separated from her husband because he was unfaithful. She tried to make it work but the wound was too deep. He had been to our home several times and is quite handsome and charismatic. I have heard since through the grapevine that he had flings on multiple occasions so it had been an ongoing issue throughout the marriage. And he is no spring chicken, must be in his late 50s. I feel very sorry for this man as he is a lost soul. I will offer my rosaries for his conversion.
But you know if I said to my wife I was praying for his soul she would wonder why. People, many good people are spiritually comatose. They refuse to believe that hell exists.
Ashley Madison isn't the cause, it's despicable, but it's another symptom of the multiple problems in our world. the sins of the flesh are what evil tempt us with constantly, and evil appears to winning the battle, for now. Divorce lawyers are currently buying this hacked list and combing the lists for couples who are currently married, wouldn't suprise me if some capitalist lawyers go researching and contacting spouses saying "do you know your husband/wife is on there, do you want representation?" It's so diabolical how evil has taken over so many people, good people who are just lost. It's clear to me now why evil's main goal is to get people away from the safety of the church. It's through the sacraments that we can build our defenses to ward off the constant attacks that tempt us to use contraceptives (making it "easy" to cheat), to accept abortions, to watch porn, to have disordered homosexual activity. I think this Ashley Madison hack is another example of the structures breaking down in our society, the walls built on sand are crumbling, stay on the rock brothers and sisters. Stay in the safety of the boat no matter how big the waves keep building around us
The problem is our whole culture has become saturated by sin. So hard to avoid. Either we create physical refuges or communities or take refuge in the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Otherwise all will be lost, a whole generation of young people swamped by the quicksand of relativism. Or God intervenes. I am surprised He has not acted already.
I might suggest that we should all take refuge in the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts (& Essentials of Our Faith) AND create/seek physical refuges or communities. GOD GUIDE AND SAVE ALL HERE!!
