In 2004, the American Journal of Psychiatry reported: “ Religiously unaffiliated subjects had significantly more lifetime suicide attempts and more first-degree relatives who committed suicide than subjects who endorsed a religious affiliation. Unaffiliated subjects were younger, less often married, less often had children, and had less contact with family members. Furthermore, subjects with no religious affiliation perceived fewer reasons for living, particularly fewer moral objections to suicide. In terms of clinical characteristics, religiously unaffiliated subjects had more lifetime impulsivity, aggression, and past substance use disorder. No differences in the level of subjective and objective depression, hopelessness, or stressful life events were found. http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/doi/abs/10.1176/appi.ajp.161.12.2303 Here are some famous celebrity suicides. These people were rich, famous, very talented charismatic individuals. People who have, 'everything' as the world sees it. But by killing themselves seem to be saying that they had in fact nothing to live for. The one common denominator appears to be that they did not have God in their lives: Lee Thompson (image source) Lee Thompson is known for playing the main character on Disney’s “The Famous Jett Jackson” and he also played Chris Comer in the 2004 hit movie “Friday Night Lights”. He was 29 years old when he passed away from a self-inflicted gun shot wound. Tony Scott was the director of the hit film “Top Gun”, one of the first movies that featured an upcoming actor Tom Cruise. Mr. Scott jumped off a bridge into the Los Angeles Harbor in which he suffered multiple traumas and eventually passed away from drowning. It was also confirmed that he had high levels of Remeron and Lunesta in his system. Remeron is an antidepressant and Lunesta is widely used for those who suffer from insomnia. Front man for the band Nirvana, Kurt Cobain was a tremendous musician and singer. He was 27 years old when he passed away from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. It was also confirmed that he had over 3x the lethal dose of heroin in his system. Ernest Hemingway (image source) Well known American writer Ernest Hemingway suffered from depression and alcoholism. He passed away after inflicting a shot gun wound to his head. His wife insisted it was an accident due to him cleaning his weapon, but that was never confirmed. Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jevon Belcher shot his girlfriend and then drove to team headquarters where he shot and killed himself. Witnesses to his suicide stated that Jevon made a statement, “I wasn’t able to get enough help.” Speculation around this statement is that Jevon was concerned about his girlfriend taking his child away from him and money. ” “
Indeed suicide in my locality is incredibly high. Not just among the young either I might add, but most are young. Lack of Faith accounts for most of them IMHO as, Padraig stated above, they've no reason not to kill themselves. I really think the spike in suicide is a result of the "sex &drugs" MTV brainwashing, you have CHOICE, "it's my life", diet that people are fed today, from the time their old enough to watch TV. I really can't explain why most are male..
Suicides, homelessness, alcohol, drugs, corrosive sex, violence and perversion "Entertainment" TV/Movie Industry. Combined with an All-Out assault on traditional Christian/Jewish Faiths by Government and Secular "Entities". Islamic Terrorism in, seemingly, exponential growth mode. Charlie J & Others have claimed that legions of satanic demons have been loosed upon US. Anybody here doubt that? ........... or that The Father has had enough of our destructive to Souls madness? Most of us have been called, recently, to sites like this because?!!? I'm not sure how I got to MOG but as I recall, I found Mark Mallet who gave me a Point-Out to Charlie J and Pelianito and somehow here I am ... I'm guessing a few wish I were not ;-) Anyway! There seems to be a Muster Call for Christian Crusaders .. Prayer and Warrior! JESUS I TRUST IN YOU!
