This reminds me of the stabbing death of a French priest in 2016, during a Mass in Normandy. The two men who killed him also took hostages. They were later linked to ISIS. Before the priest (in his 80s) died he cried out, "Go away Satan!" There was some discussion after about formally proclaiming the priest a martyr.

 

This Bishop has been a strong prophetic voice. Fearless. Please God may he be spared. The article doesn't say what his condition is.

In this report, it says that:
The injured people suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated by NSW ambulance paramedics...

Not sure if the poor "Bishop" is among them. I pray to God he is okay.

 

Going by that photograph, if that young man isn't a Mohammedan, I'm a monkey's uncle. There was also much evasion from the police regarding the identity of the murderer from the other day.

 

Definitely Muslim. The Aussie moderator on Mother and Refuge could translate the Arabic the man was spouting. He said the Bishop insulted Islam and the prophet so he had to be killed. The media won't tell you most likely.
Apparently the knife didn't open properly ( a flick knife of some sort) so definitely a miracle.

 

And then they say Christianity is a harmful religion in Australia.

He is one of the few Christian leaders outside the Catholic Church who makes me use the option to translate subtitles on YouTube to watch his preaching. He would add a lot to our church if he fully converted to it.

 

I loved to listen to him. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. You didn't need a dictionary to understand him .

He would have made a great Pope .

Thousands of years ago when the Apostles spoke they were mostly, very simple working men. But what set them apart was their Faith. This gave them wings. My sense of so many of our Bishops and Cardinals is that they no longer have this simple living Faith of a Bishop Mari.. and that's all it takes, a simple Faith..

 

I'm not against a good education so long as it does not lead to pride and the sister of pride is doubt

 

I never found the idea that the holy pope of prophecies could be someone converted from the Orthodox Church absurd, I just imagined that, in this case, he would come from Mount Athos.
