Its very hard to get places to stay, especially at the last moment. Getting there is not so hard.

I wonder maybe should I just head to Knock? I must check if they have anything on June 15th.

I have had an uptick in dark dreams of late. There is a prayer to Our Lady that Fr Ripperger suggests before bed. I his Deliverance Prayers. It is very effective when I remember to say it. I find myself awake in the wee hours frequently but like you I am retired and rarely have somewhere I have to be.

This is a bit off topic but has anyone noticed that time is shorter. Less "value" to an hour. As if minutes have been leached out of it somehow. I know age might well be the reason but I cannot seem to get the same value out of a day that I used to. Time feels shortened. Truly.

At the moment I am in Santander, Spain, the city you fly into to get to Garabandal. I haven't yet made the trip but I'm spending the summer here so will figure it out and get there at some point, possibly the 16th July for the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. If you or anyone else on the forum decide to come out this way and make the trip there, DM me. It's just a little over an hour from here.

I've made acquaintance with some local mass goers so I'm going to ask them about ways of getting to Garabandal, I think there's a bus but it's quite infrequent. Taxi is a bit too pricey for me.

    Revelation 12:12

Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”

Its funny but I think the devil is in a panic rather than happy because as the Great Events draw close he knows his goose is kinda cooked. Because the End of this story, no matter how bad it gets is a good one; the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. So he is getting busy while he can.

I think it is 105 miles from Santander to Garabandal. I think there might be a rail connection that brings you close. But it is very remote village indeed high up the mountains.

What is putting me of is where I would stay when I got there. I am a little old for sleeping bags.

They seem to have zero hotels or places to stay. Not even a Camp site.

There are a few places to stay there Padraig. A couple of guesthouses. They're on booking.com but availability might be limited, search using the flexible time option.

Yes. It's like a dream. The months are like a gentle breath of wind passing by my face. The seasons like a lost thought. The years, a forgotten dance.
Like falling down a waterfall of fast fading sweet scented flowers...
    to who know where?

I visited there in 1998. Cosio is a small town further down the mountain. We stayed in a hotel in a town further down the mountain. If you get to one of those places you definitely will be able to get transport. Glenn might be able to advise you.
Fr Michael Fitzgerald who has been in Medjugorje for the past few years has moved to Garabandal in the past few months. If you could contact him he would know who has accommodation. Friends of mine stayed in a little converted hen house when they were there some years ago.

    Thank you Mary!

I suppose a hen house would do nicely. I have asked Our Lady to give me a little sign to go. These last minute events have thrown me more than a little. I never expected having to rush of to Spain in hurry. But as she wills. I guess I should treat it as a big adventure.

Waiting for Our Lady to give me the big nudge.

I will have to get my old adventure head on.:D;)

Such short notice. Heaven, what are you even thinking?:):)

But I'm getting round to the idea. Getting good to take flight.

So well said. Lyrical. Much more satisfying than my speeding train analogy.
