Dear friends - I need your prayers yet again. My wife's car has failed the MOT 3 times [unheard of!] despite the mechanic doing a lot of work to it. Imbalance in the back brakes. So we are left in limbo with a car that might be scrapped having to pay the mechanic several hundred pounds for the work. We cannot afford another car at the moment and my wife needs one for work. So I ask your prayers - there is a chance the mechanic can get valves that might do the trick - originals are too expensive so he is looking second hand. Let us pray to the Lord for a solution. He always provides and I want to post in the answered prayer section that God supplies for all of our needs. We worship a living God, a God with a Father's Heart for His children. Heavenly Father, we trust in your Divine Providence.
you absolutely have my prayers Garabendal! I know what you are going through, as I had to get repairs to pass inspection last summer and I was a bundle of nerves not knowing what it was going to cost me. My car failed me 3 times around the holiday season, leaving me stuck on the road and causing me to miss work. Luckily the repair costs did not crush me, but I live barely one step ahead of getting financially crushed and I am so vulnerable to any unplanned expense or a shift getting cut at work. It is a tough way to live and I'm very tired of it as I'm sure you are, but it forces me to be totally reliant on God. I have found with my unemployment cross that God is not a big fan of savings accounts. But if I had money in savings...would I learn to totally trust God? Hang in there and when I've gone to adoration and poured my problems to Jesus and expressed my anxiety and worry to Him, I asked Him to speak to me via the hymn book I would randomly open to a hymn. On 2 occasions the hymn was Be Still My Soul, which I'll post below and hopefully it will give you some consolation. Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side. Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain. Leave to thy God to order and provide; In every change, He faithful will remain. Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend. Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end. Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake To guide the future, as He has the past. Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know. His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below. Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart. And all is darkened in the vale of tears. Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart, Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears. Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay. From His own fullness all He takes away. Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on When we shall be forever with the Lord. When disappointment, grief and fear are gone. Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored. Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past. All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last. Be still, my soul: begin the song of praise On earth, be leaving, to Thy Lord on high; Acknowledge Him in all thy words and ways, So shall He view thee with a well pleased eye. Be still, my soul: the Sun of life divine Through passing clouds shall but more brightly shine.
Prayers for you. Hope and trust. Please help Dear Mother! Our lady 's icon is here tonight-rosary tomorrow.
If your car does not pass, Bobby let me know. I will swap your car for mine for a while and get my mechanic to fix it, put it through myself and you can swap cars back again. My mechanic knows the supervisor of the local test centre here. It will get through come hell or high water.
