Cardinal Ratzinger: We Have Not Published the Whole Third Secret of Fatima

People have not as yet been allowed to understand that the secrets of Fatima were always meant for them. The respect for the Church through which this help from heaven was to travel to the faithful is ordered but still there was and is heaven's expectation for the people to know in order to prevent, at this late hour, their own demise. Meanwhile the apologies for this or that prelate involved within this history....and one has to admit even with nothing but ignorance as to each's true role played....does nothing for the victims of this negligence in carrying out fully what was asked by the Mother of the Church. The Church, through her appointees, whatever their personal excuses have been, has committed a grievous sin against the faithful. Now, truly, "it will be late"!

Yes, there was one secret released in three parts which is the reason there are threads like this about the "Third" secret.

I have had a look at the texts of the three parts of the secret and I can't find the part that says the faith will be preserved in Portugal. It seems peculiar that it wasn't included in the text. Hard to blame people for suspecting that the entire secret wasn't revealed if that sentence wasn't included in the published text and the context of Our Lady's reference to the faith in Portugal was not explained.

I came across this website with details about later apparitions to Sr. Lucia. (Thanks to JAK's post mentioning Rianjo because I only found the website when I searched for Sr. Lucia + Rianjo). http://www.fatima.org/essentials/facts/default.asp Did Sr. Lucia actually say that the apparition happened at the Cova? It seems odd that nobody would have known that she went to the Cova years after the miracle of the sun, had an apparition and nobody noticed. Neither that website nor any other Fatima websites I looked at seems to mention a 1921 apparition. I'll put reading the biography on my to do list.

I suppose it is possible that Sr. Lucia revealed more to the Cardinals and the Pope than they have revealed to us but we know enough to expect hard times for the Church and the faithful because on re-reading the message it appears to me that penance was as vital for staving off persecution as consecrating Russia. Hardly anyone does penance these days and it certainly isn't promoted by the Church, so we will have brought the trouble on ourselves.

 

In the apparition of July 13, Our Lady warned the three seers that if people did not stop offending God, He would punish the world "by means of war, hunger and persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father," using Russia as His chosen instrument of chastisement. She told the children that "to prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart" and promised that, by this single public act, Russia would be converted and peace would be given to the world.
The Mother of God cautioned that if Her requests were not granted, "Russia will spread its errors throughout the world, raising up wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer and various nations will be annihilated."

True to Her word, Our Lady reappeared to Sister Lucy on June 13, 1929 at Tuy, Spain, when in a great and sublime vision representing the Blessed Trinity, She announced that "the moment has come for God to ask the Holy Father to make, in union with all the bishops of the world, the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart. By this means, He promises to save Russia."

 

Thanks Earthtoangels. I had actually found the details of all the apparitions on the Fatima website that I linked to in my post to Kevin (the post immediately before yours). I should say that the website has details of all the apparitions except the seventh one at the Cova.

A lot of people use the statement about using Russia as the instrument of chastisement to predict that Russia will go to war against the Church. I'm not convinced because Russia is more anti-Catholic these days than many Western democracies that boast about their freedom of religion. Russia having already spread her errors throughout the world before the consecration by Pope John Paul, I'm not so sure that it would contradict the prophesy if countries that have since adopted Russia's errors actually did the persecuting.

 

Within the thread dedicated to the Luz de Maria messages there is a most recent one, of June 3, that is pretty interesting and within it is this (among other most specific ones now re: also natural events throughout the world among the violent man made threats of war, rather than the previous more generalized ones but still quite serious):

Pray, My children; Italy will suffer; it will be invaded from one instant to another, and Rome will be flogged in the midst of labor pains; Russia will enter and take what belongs to My Son: The Basilica.*

"One day the flag of the Immaculate Virgin Mary will flutter over the Kremlin (center of communist power), but first the red flag will flutter over the Vatican." In other words, Russia will convert but not before communism (its errors and atheism) reach to the very Vatican, the seat of the Pope.

 

With respect to Luz de Maria, anyone keeping up with current affairs could have made the same prediction.

As to St. Maximilian Kolbe's prophecy, I'm not exactly a cheerleader for Pope Francis but I wouldn't call him a communist or an atheist although I suspect there are a few inside the Vatican along with a few others who will be running for cover on judgement day.

Your first post here was to point out that there were inconsistencies with Fr Dollingers story. You pointed out how important understanding differing stories were, to help us find the truth.

Oh, are you saying that "current affairs" accepted by all point to Putin conquering the Vatican and raising the flag of the Red Dragon over it? Don't know of anyone else who would even imagine such esp. those who believe Mr. P to be now a converted angel....ha!

The quote references Russia (as of course does Fatima) and its invasion.....which of course ties in with what Garabandal as well speaks to as must happen before the Warning. And you apparently believe that it could mean somehow the Pope himself will raise the Commie red flag over the Vatican (her Son's basilica)? Now that's a stretch....since after his visit to Moscow he may not even be allowed back to the Vatican....but soon after such visit anyway is when all hell is to break loose in Europe via Russia.....obviously why it still needs to be consecrated.

 

Or possibly it could mean the division within which will eventually show everyone's (hierarchy esp.) true goals (for so long hidden) and thus the "birthing" of the true purified Church.....those consecrated to her Immaculate Heart. Not only will Christ's second coming (interim before the coming at the last judgment) be again through His mother and those consecrated to her Immaculate Heart, but also the Church's "rebirthing" come as well through her intercession and grace!

I'm saying that anyone reading the news can see the flow of migrants and far left groups gaining in popularity which will pull the mainstream parties further left - Russia's errors.

Now, if you're saying that the Pope's come one, come all attitude to migrants while Italians are mired in recession could cause the Italian people to support politicians or movements that are anti-Catholic and would to on to storm the Vatican as happened to the Church in France, I wouldn't rule it out although I can't see it happening at least for another year or so.

No, I only offered what the Luz message offered for a foundation, Kolbe's quote: asterisk to asterisk! As far as immigrant terrorism there will likely be other places in Europe that will be plagued again....probably like Paris and obviously Italy and probably Spain....but this message was only referencing Russian Communism (Red dragon) entering/invading (as also mentioned in Garabandal), taking over "her Son's Basilica". And I doubt if or when the Vatican is overrun the Pope any longer having any "authority" as you say to raise any flag over anything! And to even think he could be responsible for such action is really beyond the scope.

 

Seems we have to learn more from later interviews with Sr. Lucy than what simply could have been made public by those given the mission to do so:

Interview between Fr. Fuentes and Sr. Lucia 1957:

"It will be sad for everyone. Not one person will rejoice at all if beforehand the world does not
pray and do penance. I am not able to give any other details because it is still a secret.

"Tell them, Father, that many times the Most Holy Virgin told my cousins Francisco and Jacinta,
as well as myself, that many nations will disappear from the face of the earth. She said that Russia
will be the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world if we do not
beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor nation."

"Father, that is why my mission is not to indicate to the world the material punishments which
are certain to come if the world does not pray and do penance beforehand. No! My mission is to
indicate to everyone the imminent danger we are in of losing our souls for all eternity if we remain
obstinate in sin."

And this next part is why the Church herself is in need for repentance for this neglect is declared as very serious indeed:

"It is with 'certain fear' because if you despise and repulse this ultimate means, we will not have
anymore forgiveness from Heaven, because we will have committed a sin which the Gospel calls
the sin against the Holy Ghost. This sin consists of openly rejecting, with full knowledge and consent,
the salvation which He offers."

"Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good Son and that He does not permit that we offend
and despise His Most Holy Mother."

 

Well, I'm glad you acknowledge that the Pope won't be raising a red flag over the Vatican. The Pope will still be the Bishop of Rome no matter if he is in the Vatican or some new version of the catacombs. Is it likely that there will be collaborators in the Vatican, even close to the Pope? I would think so, but as the Church's influence wanes the attraction for apostates to stick around will lessen so they will likely be few in number.

Reading the Wikipedia account of the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul, there are plenty of conspiracy theories about who was behind it. The assailant pointed the finger at a prominent Cardinal whose name escapes me. What I found most convincing was the theory that the Czechoslovakians were behind it and that they had hidden a microphone inside a statue of Our Lady gifted to the Cardinal by his nephew or niece whose spouse was working for the Czechoslovakian government.

Huh? I never brought it up nor suggested it....you did. I wouldn't trust most of what gets put as background music on Wiki as offering much in real details. There's much more within the former mafioso's affidavit.

 

Well no I didn't. You misunderstood me and evidently I misunderstood you.

Wiki wouldn't be my usual source of information. I came across it when checking the date of the assassination, started reading and the Communist involvement struck me as the most believable. I suppose we will never know the whole truth about it. Unreliable as Wiki may be, it's likely to be at least as reliable as the word of a mafioso whether current or former.

 

Inside The Vatican Magazine published an interview in November 1998 with Howard Dee, former ambassador to the Vatican from the Philippines.

In the article, Dee said, “Bishop Ito, Ordinary of Akita who approved the apparitions, wrote to me after he briefed the Holy Father about the Akita Events and presented his pastoral to Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger for approval.

“Bishop Ito was certain Akita was an extension of Fatima, and Cardinal Ratzinger personally confirmed to me that these two messages, of Fatima And Akita, are essentially the same,” Dee told the magazine. “Bishop Ito said: ‘The Father wants to purify mankind before it enters into the third millennium.'”
