To each his own of course. But not only does Charlie not wish to take such prophecies by Saints and approved mystics "literally" he goes further and lectures others that all such mystics of the past (well noted within Catholic accepted history btw) in general simply didn't get it right...always misread or misinterpreted what they were shown don'tchaknow! Now that's chutzpah! And, btw, on what authority? I mean you can't have it both ways....if you don't deny Garabandal which is based on those most important messages for the world, then you don't pick and choose for that destroys its purpose and foundation. If you negate those portions then you negate its authenticity. And he obviously does use them for comparison since they would effect his own "scenario", as general and vague as it is. I would say that most have been aware of the "storm" since probably now for over at least 50 years....and they have also been expecting "something" of some importance coming in that 100th anniversary year for Fatima. So anyone who comes along and gives a rather broad mention of both (with no specifics) would of course ring some kind of bell with those already accepting of such events.

 

I have yet to read from any of them; in their own writing or recording their endorsement of Garabandal. If you have something please let me know. When it come to Padre Pio's gloves; it is possible that he gave them to her because he saw her soul and wanted her to know it. Giving her a constant reminder of what she (and others) was doing was wrong. I won't question his motives because I don't know them but nor does anyone.
As far as Charlie, you don't have to be Profit to see what's going on in the world and he's right... the world's crap (I'm paraphrasing here). His A#1 mission is to tell people to acknowledge God, take the next right step and be a sign of hope to those around us. All of his (alleged) prophecy is to give credence to his three step process.

 

Yeah, we know how you don't accept what was offered to you about those endorsements, etc., given of Garabandal in the other thread re: the Warning and how Glenn, the expert on that topic, finally had to ban you since the discussion got rather personally insulting from your side. You like Charlie instead which is your privilege of course but why is the question since re: his scenario you stated above...."you don't have to be a prophet to see what's going on in the world".....so iow, anyone could come up with the generalizations about a "storm" and something happening in that 100th anniversary of Fatima which most expect anyway. You're right about that. Hopefully Charlie's audience is already living close to God each day, not just "acknowledging" Him, and trying to do "the right thing" in the present moment! Or else when tshtf (or Charlie's "storm") it may be too late. Our Blessed Mother has been covering that necessity of repentance and conversion NOW for quite some time saying that hearts may become so hardened that they won't be able to accept her Son's Mercy when they have the chance!

Again, nothing personal, and no one is stopping you from following whomever you choose and for whatever reason you may use. And of course on the other side of that freedom of conscience others may choose, with better reasoning, to question Charlie's rather generalized and non-specific scenario. If one is afraid to use such logic in discernment in these smaller cases for following someone currently, what might happen when THE con man, the AC, comes along with even greater persuasive techniques??

 

The Sad Truth Gang is ... Ya don't have to be a Christian or any religion to figure out that Planet Earth is in extreme Chaos ... financial, societal, moral ...You Name It! The secular "News" sites are full of Bad News and the blogosphere-n-Talk Radio are covering what the secular "Media" is ignoring, spinning and/or whitewashing. Sooooo .. The ONLY refuges when such a time arrives are the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Divine Mercy Heart of Jesus with its graced filled image and promises of protection. The "desert" to which our Mother must flee when Satan is spewing forth after her, are the cenacles being created now everywhere consecrating themselves to her Immaculate Heart, awaiting with her in prayer, as was done for the first Pentecost, for the second Pentecost.

 

I agree with you. ALWAYS discern for yourself. Just make sure you always stick to the teaching of the Bible, Church and Catechism and one won't stray or be fooled by "snake oil salesman" posing as modern day seers. As far as Charlie in particular, I believe most of us keep him at arms reach, at least until the elections. (He stated Obama won't finish his term because things will be SO bad). That gives him about six months.

As far as Glenn goes, he deleted many on his backhanded remarks so sure, I'll be the bad guy. I could care less. But what doesn't change is it is unapproved... unlike Fatima and Akita which already scare the crap out of me.

 

If anyone is waiting for 'approved' messages before they accept them within substantial Catholic consensus, then they will surely be in the 'unapproved' Kibeho moment before they realize the 'unapproved' messages they disregarded have devoured them.

 

I think the reason why the Consecration of Russia was and is so important is that it like God asking Abraham to Sacrifice Isaac.It is the sme for us. We have to do it.

Anyone who doubts this should consider this little story. A prelate in Rome was asked why the Consecration was not done. To which he replied, 'Why should we take advice from a group of peasant kids from the mountains of Portugal?'

That just about sums it up...

I agree to a point. I (as all of us) are allowed to discern for ourselves on unapproved prophesy as per the Church. If, for some reason Garabandal comes true, I won't be devoured by anything. Why? Because I stick to the Church teachings, Catechism and the Bible.
If I were to play devils advocate then you must've believed in LttW, Charlie Johnston, Mark Mallett. I believe that may not be true but according to your statement, if you don't you'll "realize the 'unapproved' messages they [you] disregarded have devoured them [you]".
In other words we are given the latitude to discern for ourselves in unapproved messages. Garabandal is included in that list.

 

I understand what you're sayin'. I think if people are living devoutly (communion, confession, etc) then God is with them even if they do get caught in a mess. God knows where we are and nothing comes our way without his approval. What the worst that can happen? You die. If you remain in God's grace, then so be it!

 

this is absolutely true....we are not obliged to believe in prophecy at all....even approved ones.

The faithful are not obliged to believe in the private revelation. A faithful Catholic is called to give the assent of faith to the deposit of faith found in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition.

Mario, we will know by January 2017 if what Charlie is saying has truth in it. Just 6 Months from now, once the presidential election is done and (if) a new President is inaugurated in America.

 

Really January 2018 if Charlie's Intel is entirely correct. By his accounts the BIG SHTF Moment will occur by about this time next year ..... with plenty of smaller SHTF Moments that have probably already occurred if we survive to reflect upon it all!?

The way I see it, if an American President is not installed January 2017; we will be reading Charlie with a great deal more focus.
I would be sceptical after January 2017, if this Presidential prediction does not come to pass.

 

The idea that Obama would attempt to hold on to power by any means accessible to him....like enabling a crisis, creating chaos (like what is occurring already with the BLM and New Black Panthers and the upcoming "Day of Rage" in most of the large cities of America, open attacks on our police as well as first responders, all encouraged by him) and using it to get a type of militaristic control over the population, like the Alinsky tactics so studied by Obama as well as Hillary, has been out there for years prior to what Charlie is now claiming as something unexpected and suddenly occurring out of the blue. It's what has been expected for quite some time now. And how convenient that such things are now timed around the election scene on purpose. Like others have said....it doesn't take a prophecy to see the obvious plan that has spoken for itself. It could just be a fact as well of some natural disasters that could also come on the scene, disrupting that planned takeover by the thugs and without the protection of our usual means of security.
