Charlie Johnston has said Pope Francis will make a "major blunder" this year.

I really feel for our pope. Every word he says is so under the microscope and how can you not screw up once in a while when you are dealing with that! I must pray more for him and hope Charlie is not right in his prediction. When he says this year, does he mean calander year 2015 I wonder?

Padraig - you stated on another thread that you had a dream about a future pope and you were going to post it. Did you post it and I missed it? I would love to hear it, as I rarely have sigificant dreams.

I dreamt I was outside the Vatican in St Peters Square and that a new Pontiff had een elected not long before. Then I dreamt I was inside . I thought how beautiful it all was, like a fairy tale. I dreamt I was not far from the new Pope as he met the press and others ,surrounded by Cardinals and members of the Curia.

He seemed to be really a most extraordianry man totally child like and full of great, great hominess. In this child like aspect he reminded me of Pope St John 23rd or of Pope Francis himself only much, much ,much more so and very, very holy. Preminently so. A very great saint.

But I could see in this man that the Holy Spirit had done what he does best and given the Church a real Jack in the Box , someone right outside the loop and totally blind sided the Curia and the Church as a whole. It seemed to me that in coming to Rome he seemed like a tourist from another planet. He was totally unrestricted by the , 'Normal way' , of looking at things in the Church, that he came with entirely new eyes. Not only with new eyes but was uninhibited by and fear of implementing this new way of seeing things.

I have always in a way waned a Pope who would take the ax to the roots. Well in a kind of way this Pope wil ldo this. But in no way that I ever expected for the ax this Child of Mary will weild will not be a righteous rage but rather the child like love and simplicity which does not see human respect and fear as an obstacle. One whose sublime holiness will, forgive me cut through a thousand years of crap like not so much a hot knife through butter as a volcano through an ice cream factory.

He will as Catholic Prophecy indicates maek all things new by his holiness.

I saw this new Pope at a meeting of the Cardinals quite early on. One Cardinal was facing the Pope seated at teh edn of a table while the Pope was standing. He was French and was beginning to read the Holy Father a long list of reasons why he could not do what he intended. I could see that this guy was full of contempot for the Pope but was at the same time terrified of him. The Pope simply laughed at him and others and ..well charged on.

I could see how ordinary Catholics ADORED this guy and would follow him anywhere and how this ham string his enemies. He will be something not of a force of nature but a force of heaven, The Angelic Pastor long prophesied in Catholic Prophecy.

He utterly delighted me and I do not think I am the kind of person who would betoo easily impressed but I would follow such a person to the Gates of Hell itself.

It seems to me that many of the Prophecies of Isaiah applied to Christ could be apllied to this Pontiff himself so preeminent in Holiness will he be , forged in the Immaculate Heart of Mary herself.

    Isaiah 49:6:
"It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

    Isaiah 49:13-17:
    13 Shout for joy, O heavens;
    rejoice, O earth;
    burst into song, O mountains!
For the LORD comforts his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
14 But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me,
    the Lord has forgotten me."
15 "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
    Though she may forget,
    I will not forget you!
    16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.
    17 Your sons hasten back,
and those who laid you waste depart from you.

    Isaiah 42:3

    The Lord's Chosen Servant
2"He will not cry out or raise His voice, Nor make His voice heard in the street. 3"A bruised reed He will not break And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully bring forth justice. 4"He will not be disheartened or crushed Until He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law."…

I do not know if this is the next Pope, but he is coming to save his people.

...Forty years ago it was prophesied, and there have been many visions to the same effect, that there will be a pope in these times who will purify Canon Law and the Church of God from the sophistries and deceits of the jurists so that justice will reign over all without the rumbling of lawsuits. Because of the goodness, truth, and justice of this pope the Greeks will return to the obedience of the Roman Church, the greater part of the Tartars will be converted to the faith, and the Saracens will be destroyed. There will be one flock and one shepherd, as the prophet heard (John 10:16)...

Charlie Johnston wrote an article on his blog on July 11 (https://charliej373.wordpress.com/2015/07/11/the-summer-of-our-discontent/) about the Pope. He said he was told about a "major blunder" last December when he had a vision of devils unleashed from hell:

"I was initially shaken to realize over the last few days that, despite his increasingly strident, bombastic political pronouncements, Pope Francis has not yet made the major blunder I was told about last December. Then I was comforted to understand that he, too, is being formed for the fullness of the Storm. When the blunder comes, he will shed the brashness, while holding fast to a holy boldness necessary for both him and us to weather this great Storm. He is in his prelude to greatness. When I say that all of us are going to be knocked back on our heels as we are confronted with our hidden vanities, I truly mean ALL of us. Some it will destroy, others it will purify and strengthen. Do not judge by appearances right now. Some who seem strong will be destroyed when confronted with the fact that they are not what they should be. Others who seem weak or even malicious, will be forged into a useful tool of God by the experience. Just hold fast…acknowledge God, take the next right step, and be a sign of hope to those around you. We have entered the final countdown. Wait on the Lord, for He will strengthen your hearts and reveal Himself in the midst of the howling winds. Be slow to judge hearts and wait on the Lord."

A quote from the article i particularly like:“Ah,” he said, smiling. “The encyclical. I haven’t read it, and I don’t suppose I will. We don’t have to, you know. And don’t be upset by the Pope. Popes come and popes go. A great one is a wonderful bonus: we just had two in a row. But it’s the Church we depend on

As I was reading this sharing of yours Padraig, I'm reminded of the Locutions to the World (LTTW). I know that it was only in the LTTW that I have read about the successor of Pope Francis, although you pointed out that there is this 40 year-old Catholic prophesy. It's just that the details you mentioned are more of a match to some details in the LTTW.

Your dream seems to accurately describe the "hidden priest" of Locutions:

    - There is a hidden priest who has received the gift of Fatima in his hearth.
    - He's the messenger of Fatima.
    - He'll know the devil plans and he'll reveal them to the world.
    - He'll be able to work signs and wonders.
    - He'll be a light to the nations.
    - He'll be the next Pope.
    - He'll reveal himself before October 13th, 2017.

It was so easy to see what the previous Popes focus were in teacher and defender of the Catholic faith. What Pope Francis' mark will be, I think, is still yet to be defined and revealed.

It's odd,it's been so long since I thought of him, but I wonder, could this Pope, the so called "Angelic Pope" be Fr. Sudac. I remember many years ago, my wife and I went to a Mass he celebrated in NJ. The Church was packed and even in his broken English you could hear his passion and sensed holiness. I also could clearly see the stigmata on his forehead. And while my wife did not see it, I saw rays of bright lights shining from the Monstrance when Fr. Sudac held it aloft to bless us. I've not heard much about him lately and perhaps Our Lady has chosen to "hide" him for the time. Anyway, here is some info for those who may not have ever heard of him.

I think it was General Patton who said something along the lines that the first victim of war is our plans. There really is a war going on in the heavens and Salvation History teaches us that the Holy Spirit is always throwing outside curves.

I guess with His choice of Pope He is bound to shine at this as recent choices have shown.

    God does not make mistakes

Just a quick note...when I have said the Holy Father would make a major blunder, my emphasis has been that it is his prelude to greatness...and my unflagging emphasis has been that he is the man chosen from all eternity to guide us through this Storm. My intent has been to encourage people to stick to the Barque of Peter regardless of how things seem. Already some want to bail because of some of the economic and political content of his last Encyclical, without considering the majestic and refined material on the human ecology - which is a matter of faith and morals and on which he is authoritative.

I recognize that the Pope says some non-Magisterial things that are confusing and troubling...but on faith and morals, he has been solid - and this is what we must stick to.

What he has said in the area of ecology is not a matter of faith and morals. It may be true, but it is not doctrine, which is binding on all Catholics.

Modern Catholic Dictionaryby Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.
DOCTRINE. Any truth taught by the Church as necessary for acceptance by the faithful. The truth may be either formally revealed (as the Real Presence), or a theological conclusion (as the canonization of a saint), or part of the natural law (as the sinfulness of contraception). In any case, what makes it doctrine is that the Church authority teaches that it is to be believed. This teaching may be done either solemnly in ex cathedra pronouncements or ordinarily in the perennial exercise of the Church's magisterium or teaching authority. Dogmas are those doctrines which the Church proposes for belief as formally revealed by God. (Etym. Latin doctrina, teaching.)

I did not say the ecology, Fatima, as I do not concur with him at all on that and am not obliged to. I said what he said on the "human ecology," which he singled out, saying that family, marriage and gender are not malleable concepts, but have specific, immutable meaning that must be respected.

I guess it is parching words, but I understood them to have synonymous meaning as follows:
    ecology
    noun
    1.
the branch of biology dealing with the relations and interactions between organisms and their environment, including other organisms.
    2.
Also called human ecology. the branch of sociology concerned with the spacing and interdependence of people and institutions
