Fantastic woo hoo and my good news Praise God my wife's trip to London has been cancelled and the rest of the family are all in fine health thank you all for your prayers
Pres Trump might establish a domestic travel ban. That seems a bit draconian, but I wouldn't be opposed. However, in all fairness, it's easy for me to not be opposed as I don't have a reason to travel around. What a balancing act, trying not to unnecessarily burden others while also trying for the greatest measure of overall well-being. Let's keep Pres Trump and VP Pence in our prayers. What horrific pressures they're under.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen the absolute panic that we are seeing here in Knoxville, TN - no hand sanitizers, toilet paper and paper towels to be found. Many of the shelves are empty in several grocery stores. I just returned from Nashville Wednesday and there wasn’t seen the panic that we see here. My grandkids go to a Catholic school here and parents were told that after spring break (next week) they can expect to homeschool their children for possibly a month! Is anyone’s else experiencing this in your area?
I wouldn't really know him that well and I don't know his state of mind and would not like to interfere with his privacy.
He's still around and word to the wise, keep everything he said in mind. I'll send you a private message
Same here unfortunately, off the charts panic buying. The markets around here really should have put a limit on necessary items to curb the hoarding situation. Our governor decided to keep our schools open for now, and let each school district decide if their schools should be temporarily closed for cleaning. He also said there is to be a ban on gatherings of more than 250 people. 'Faith based' events were specifically mentioned, so I'm holding my breath waiting to see if our churches will close. Edited to add: Our local schools are now closing until March 30.
Yesterday was mayhem. Not so bad today. There was a rush ealy in the morning but staples like bread and milk were delivered to the supermarkets as normal and things have calmed down. Schools are closed. Children are getting their lessons online, sticking to the schedule they would have in school. Hand sanitiser was sold out weeks ago as are face masks with no sign of the shops getting new supplies. Also sold out are aloe vera gel and glycerine, both of which are ingredients in diy hand sanitiser. Muzhik posted somewhere on this thread instructions for making hand sanitiser but it might be quicker to do an internet search if you're interested in making your own. People with elderly or vulnerable relatives stock up in case they need to go into isolation. I think the British PM has said that elderly people there may need to self-isolate for as long as three months.
Yep. It has only just begun here. We have our first case now so everyone is suddenly doing what all of us on the forum have been saying we should do for weeks now.
