Well I shouldn't miss mine either. My husband is determined that I stay home. I will call the MD's office tomorrow and see what they say.
My sister's neighbors across the street were in quarantine because the wife found out that she was exposed to it from a person she had a meeting with at work. My BIL was informed by her husband last night that the test came back positive. The wife, age 54, has coronavirus. Husband is still negative. Wife is recovering at home, coughing a lot, but so far doing okay, considering.
Yes, truly a nightmare. Our hospital has set up a portable command center tent for testing of the virus. There are so many coming into our emergency room, that we are hoping to alleviate the revolving door effect.
MC I am praying for you and all health workers with you. I have a feeling you are entering the eye of the storm.
So this virus is an equal opportunity employer. That's 2 young men and Jo's grandson. Sounds like it is indiscriminate in its attack.
Ezdra I'm not quite sure what to make of your post as it has left my head spinning... However if my remark about the lost tribe of Dan has upset you then I will apologise as that was not my intention for future reference could I ask you not to respond in anger if you have an issue with a post? message the person who made the post privately their is no bravado in ranting from behind a keyboard.. God bless brother John
Our governor closed all the schools in NH, So to continue attending Mass and recieving the Eucharist is a blessing.
We don't have the way of the cross here or communion but we still have adoration all day thanks be to God.
Shortly after I read that tweet I came across an article saying that the Pope was asking priests to be close to the people and to bring the Sacraments to the sick, so that suggests that absolution via Whatsapp is a non-starter. General absolution might be an option although it would make more sense for a Bishop to absolve the people of his diocese in the event that Confession is banned or priests choose not to be available to hear Confessions as could very well happen here. I'm gobsmacked reading on this thread about people with family or friends who have been infected or exposed to the virus. I'll be praying for them all and will bring their intentions to Mass as long as I'm able to go to Mass although I suspect that won't be for much longer. Now that the pubs are closed, there will be pressure to stop all Masses and probably close churches. Once that pressure starts we know that journalists who only step inside a church for weddings and funerals will make it their busines to "investigate" Catholic churches. The same journalists were telling us about a couple of weeks ago that the virus is no big deal provided we wash our hands - that it's only a danger to the elderly or infirm who would have died anyway.
