I agree. I think governments have been over cautious on this one and over-reacted. But God works in mysterious ways. Our leaders are unbelievers blinded by science hence their reaction but long-term this will have major economic impact weakening the West in particular and fragmenting the European Union. I see God's hand in all of this but this virus in merely an admonition before the chastising hand. The mighty will be laid low and the Herod's held to account in the not too distant future. The world as we know it will change dramatically.
The fragmentation of the European Union might not amount to a weakening, if it returns to a common market of independent states. There are opportunities. The rise in unemployment will exert enormous pressure on the politicians who are directly causative and they might be pressurised into seeing product replacement of goods sourced in China as an opportunity for manufacturing. Any state with a degree of common sense should realise that it is imprudent to be wholly dependent on one state for the sourcing of vital goods. This is a form of monopoly and always leads to declines in quality and supply. This series of events emphasises the desirability of competition and choice. Of course, any improvement in our situation is conditional on our learning the correct answers to this admonition. Since the answers are primarily spiritual, this is somewhat unlikely, but we live in hope.

It seems as though the CDC was preparing for an apocalyptic event. I have been keeping an eye on the videos and Q info posted on the other thread. If they are correct about the possibility of a storm of another nature hitting the US very soon, then we could be in for an epic April. The intense virus preparations are also happening away from large cities. I had the misfortune of seeing three of those dreaded refrigerated 'morgue' trucks arrive at our hospital this week. Truly a dreadful sight. I cannot fathom our hospital, and community dealing with a level of death that will fill those huge trucks with bodies. We live pretty close to a military base that was downsized, and mostly used for the Coast Guard. A few weeks back, just prior to all heck breaking loose over the virus, we noticed a huge increase in military aircraft at the base. We have not seen that level of activity at this base since 9/11, and we wondered what was going on.

I don't believe that about flu vaccines. I am a nurse and the reason the elderly are so predisposed to severe symptoms and fatalities with Covid is 1) their immune systems are not as efficient with age and 2) with age comes multiple medical issues, namely high blood pressure, cardiac, diabetes and others....so with that they are very vulnerable. If the flu shot theory held most health care workers would be dead as we rely on flu shots annually for protection on the front lines.
