Coronavirus

  1. I was able to go to Confession this week.
There were good appropriate measures to keep people safe, but quite a few showed up.

There are stories of people informing authorities when too many people gather together. This feels like Communist China.
    See this article...

You know the Church is the target. Things could get worse. I don't want priests facing fines or worse.

For now on I will turn off my phone (GPS) when I travel to meet with a priest. I will also not park in the church lot.

Same here as it's disgusting to see no info especially pastoral on our diocese website. Bishop have closed everything from mass to Sacraments leaving us nothing. Tried sspx mass there but closed all the same.it's hidden cos only a few people know where it is except for on website info and also bit far as well.

It made me realise that bishops are not real pastors in the true sense of a word. Also realised that churches will be short of monies but churches can put all their blame on bishops but asset rich. I rem one church that was left open as I went in for prayer as it was nearly practically empty with maybe 5 or 6 people.that was 3 weeks ago before our bishop closed off everything making it purely non accessible to every one.

Then I saw one poster up there mention Irish ancestors. One of my ancestors lent his land for mass to be held in secret when the British armies roamed Ireland and banned masses. I found out that last year when that ancestor's grandson passed away in old age.

This is quite bit similar now as bishops banned mass for medical reasons instead of the Brits. That shouldn't be an excuse for that cos mass were open during Spanish flu epidemic in 1918.

Bishops doesn't look good in their handling of cov 19 epidemic as they were cowards.

I know of a church that's open for individuals to pray, and I know of another church where Confessions are heard. Sadly, neither is within 2 km of my home which is the limit set by our government. I could take a chance on going to either church but it could bring trouble on the priests.

It isn't the Bishop who closed the churches in our diocese. Individual priests have made the decision. In many cases it could be that they're afraid not so much for their own safety but of the extra burden on health services should they or older parishioners contract the virus.

  4. 'Jesus' figure appears in tree days before Easter as crowds snub coronavirus lockdown

One witness said everyone was praying around the strange shape to cure the word of the "evil" coronavirus

“It can clearly be seen, and everybody is praying and asking for Earth to be cured of this evil and for Magangue to be protected,” local shopkeeper Rafael Rodriguez told media outlet El Propio de Magangue.

Authorities are reportedly concerned the tree could become a pilgrimage site despite the coronavirus lockdown in the country.

The video also shows how people are ignoring social distancing rules, increasing the risk of infection.

Another journalist, Rodolfo Zambrano, said: “The figure appeared last Sunday night and people rushed there with candles and transformed the place into a pilgrimage site, which is concerning neighbours as a lot of people are going there.”

According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University, Colombia has registered 1,579 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with 46 deaths and 88 recoveries.

It comes after residents inside a coronavirus-hit city claimed they saw the Virgin Mary appearing in the sky.

  5. HUGE! Covid Tracking Website DELETES Information on Hospitalizations, ICU Patients After TGP Reports Numbers Fall Well Below Model Predictions

The government models used to predict the extent of the coronavirus pandemic are off by huge margins in the latest coronavirus tracking numbers.

The government predictions reported by the IHME Covid Tracking (https://covidtracking.com/data/ ) for Apr 5th were as follows:

    – All beds needed: 179,267
    – ICU beds needed: 33,176
    – Invasive ventilators: 26,544

These numbers were posted on their website on Sunday.

    Those were the predictions.

The actual numbers as recorded at The Covid Tracking Project:

    – Actual hospitalizations: 22,158
    – In ICU: 5,207
    – On ventilator: 656

    The actual numbers show:
    Via Dr. Ned Nikolov.

    – Overestimation of hospitalizations: 8 times
    – Overestimation of of ICU beds needed: 6.4 times
    – Overestimation of ventilators needed: 40.5 times

    Now this…

After The Gateway Pundit reported on the hugely flawed hospitalization and ICU predictions on Monday the tracking website — “The Covid Tracking Project” — decided to remove ALL of their national hospitalization and ICU numbers.

The COVID Tracking Twitter page announced the changes to their reporting on Monday night.

They are no longer releasing hospitalization numbers — It didn’t fit their narrative.
    What frauds!

  6. CDC Director: Death Toll Will Be ‘Much, Much, Much Lower’ than Projected

Appearing Monday on AM 1030 KVOI Radio, Dr. Robert Redfield, the Director of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), predicted that the death toll from the Chinese coronavirus will be “much, much, much lower” than the models have projected due to Americans following social distancing recommendations.

    A transcript is as follows:

HOST: We were talking about some of the models, whether it’s from the imperial college guy in England or the University of Washington. Thank god some of these numbers are falling short of some of these catastrophic numbers. Tell me about the dynamic of the modeling and how it helps and influences decision making and then, when the reality comes in, how does the decision making transform?

DR. ROBERT REDFIELD: I think it’s really important. First, models are only as good as their assumptions. Obviously, there was a lot unknown about this virus. The ability to actively make a lot of assumptions was much wider than if this was an Influenza B outbreak. Second thing, I will say from a public health perspective, to me, the real value of models is to have a model and then try to understand — if I invest resources here, what does that do to the model? If I invest in intervention strategies here, what does that do to the model? It’s a way of beta testing how you’re going to respond and what it does to the different models. And models should never be used to assume that we have a number. You saw those numbers are quite staggering. You’ve got 200,000 to 2 million Americans are losing their lives before the fall. That’s a pretty staggering number.

HOST: Are throwing those kind of numbers out actually helpful because what they do is scare the hell out of everyone to social distance? Is that the purpose?

DR. REDFIELD: I think different people may look at it in different ways in terms of transparency. CDC had models early on. We didn’t really publicize the models. We used them internally to understand deviation strategies. I think part of the importance of getting the American public’s attention that these models did, we really need the American public to be fully engaged now with great rigor and vigilance on the social distancing. As you pointed out, those models that were done, they assume only about 50 percent of the American public would pay attention to the recommendations. In fact, what we’re seeing is a large majority of the American public are taking the social distancing recommendations to heart. And I think that’s the direct consequence of why you’re seeing the numbers are going to be much, much, much lower than would have been predicted by the models.

So I bet in today's White House press briefing the msm will still be pushing fear and doom and gloom. The questions they ask are ridiculous. Anytime either of the dr's are asked a question they refer to those silly graphs and charts like they are the Bible.

So, what is the preferred outcome of these people? Why the panic? Why the pushing of panic? I know fear controls people so maybe it is that simple.

I can tell you around here, no one is following the rules. Stores are closed and restaurants and public gatherings not scheduled. But people are driving and going to grocery stores, Wal-Mart is PACKED, drive thrus, playing golf up the street at the golf course, drug stores are open as usual. Everyone is social distancing as the stores are marking the floors of where you should stand. I feel like a cow or sheep. I am being herded. And to be honest, I don't know what to believe. There is TOO much news and I don't know good from bad info. Virus is real. I know sick people with it. They have recovered or are recovering however. I know places are serious and there are hot spots. That is fact. But.....how bad really is this virus? What is the underlying reason for all this panic?

We cannot shut down our societies every time there is an illness. That is ridiculous. Can't be done. I see that with this. Arizona is not staying home. Our numbers are low......2300 Covid cases, 69 deaths and we have a population of 7.3 million in the whole state. And our population is increased during Winter by a lot of snow birds (winter visitors escaping the cold temps) . So our numbers are low. I can go to Wal-Mart and mill around with all the other herd not social distancing because there are too many people in the store......but I can't go to Mass . Seems really odd. Yes it does.

I don't want to appear heartless and not concerned. None of this adds up on face value. Something is wrong and something is up. We are being lied to by someone, probably many someones.

Trump hints at cutting WHO funding over coronavirus handling, says they ‘really blew it’

President Trump suggested Tuesday that he might consider cutting funding for the World Health Organization over its handling of the coronavirus crisis and alleged role in helping China downplay the severity of the outbreak.

“The W.H.O. really blew it. For some reason, funded largely by the United States, yet very China centric. We will be giving that a good look. Fortunately I rejected their advice on keeping our borders open to China early on. Why did they give us such a faulty recommendation?” he tweeted.

WHO has increasingly been the focus of questions about its response to the coronavirus pandemic, including information it tweeted in January that quoted “preliminary” findings from Chinese authorities that downplayed the seriousness of the virus that has since turned into a pandemic, shutting down daily life around the globe.

"The WHO owes an explanation to the world of why they took China’s word for it. So much suffering has been caused by the mishandling of information and lack of accountability by the Chinese," former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley tweeted.

The United States is the single largest contributor to the WHO. The most recent invoice from the WHO to the United States, which is one of many countries that fund the organization, was for nearly $116 million per year. The United States also voluntarily gives between approximately $100 million and $400 million more per year to the WHO for specific projects -- contributions that totaled over $400 million in 2017, the most recent year for which figures are available.

That means the United States contributed over $500 million in total to the WHO that year, which is just under one-quarter of the organization's yearly budget. The WHO's total budget for 2016 and 2017 combined was over $4 billion.

With the U.S. is its primary source of funding, lawmakers are increasingly questioning an organization they see as reflexively siding with China -- the U.S.' geopolitical rival.

Last month, a resolution introduced in the House and Senate called on WHO Director Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to retract what they called “highly misleading statements of support for the response of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.”

Tedros has become much of the focus of criticism by lawmakers. The director panned coronavirus responses that "unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade," after Trump imposed a travel ban on China in the early days of the crisis.

He also tweeted praise for China on March 20, saying "[f]or the first time, #China has reported no domestic #COVID19 cases yesterday. This is an amazing achievement, which gives us all reassurance that the #coronavirus can be beaten."

Sen. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., called for the director to resign and for WHO to "stop covering for [China.]

“I think Dr. Tedros needs to step down. We need to take some action to address this issue. It's just irresponsible, it’s unconscionable what they have done here while we have people dying across the globe," she said on Fox Business Network's "Mornings with Maria."

Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., also called for accountability for the WHO on its handling of the coronavirus -- calling for an investigation and hearing into the WHO, questioning whether it is deserving of American taxpayer money

"When it comes to Coronavirus, the WHO failed. They need to be held accountable for their role in promoting misinformation and helping Communist China cover up a global pandemic," Scott said last week. "We know Communist China is lying about how many cases and deaths they have, what they knew and when they knew it – and the WHO never bothered to investigate further."

Fox News' Tyler Olson contributed to this report.

President Trump was right to finger the World Health Organisation as cosying up to the Chinese Communists.

I admit I am starting to wonder about this lock down and were we are going with it. There's lots and lots of strange things going on both inside and outside the Church.

I dread to think what the world is going to be like when the dust from all this clears.
I mean I'd love to ask the Holy Father face to face,

'Holy Father when will you let me attend Holy Mass again? Please give me some kind of idea!.. days, weeks, months, years....when?'

Those words chill me to the bone after having read John Horvat’s article this morning regarding the new world after Coronavirus. It seems to me this “Beast” called Covid-19, as it rises, could give authority to a new world order. I researched the man, Yuzak Noah Harari who authored the article that Horvat links to. Padraig- please read and discern. I don’t know how to start a new topic, but this perhaps is a new one. This man Harari has a very antichristian world view- man as god. my words here are not very well written - pardon me - I am shaken to my core about what this man proposes.

  16. HUGE: Brilliant Dr. Shiva, Inventor of Email, Outlines Connections Between Bill Gates, Dr. Fauci, the WHO and the CDC - Relevant to Coronavirus Pandemic

The man designated as the inventor of the email and MIT graduate, Dr. V.A. Shiva, laid out in simple terms the alleged motives and actions behind the WHO, the CDC, Bill Gates, the Gates Foundation, Big Pharma, Dr. Fauci, Dr. Birx and the Chinese.

Dr. Shiva claims coronavirus is but a symptom of globalist initiatives.

Bill Gates and his Foundation may not be what they are made out to be:

Bill Gates recently announced he’s stepping down from the board of Microsoft, the trillion-dollar software colossus he cofounded, to “dedicate more time to philanthropic priorities including global health and development, education, and my increasing engagement in tackling climate change.” The national papers happily reported the news: “In his post-Microsoft career, Mr. Gates has become better known for his work in fighting infectious diseases and climate change. [In February], the Gates Foundation said it would commit an additional $100 million to fight the coronavirus,” the New York Times reported.

This was typical of the affectionate press treatment of Gates, who’s now considered one of the better billionaires, relative to Trump or the Koch brothers. This is mainly due to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private charitable entity with billions in its endowment used for fighting AIDS, accelerating economic development, and many other worthy causes.

But Bill Gates and his foundation are the perfect picture of why this model of billionaire philanthropy is so flawed. Gates’s foundation was originally cooked up as a feel-good gloss to cover up his shredded reputation during Microsoft’s antitrust trial, putting him in the long tradition of obscenely rich people using the occasional generous gift to try justifying their enormous wealth and power.

But it is actually much more than this. Gates and his father for decades have been connected to George Soros and Dr. Anthony Fauci. Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx are famous now after being on stage almost daily with President Trump updating the public on government actions over the coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Birx’s daughter is connected to the Gates Foundation as well:

Deborah Birx’s husband, Paige Reffe, was the advance man for Bill Clinton.

Dr. Shiva recently aired two very powerful interviews on the subject of the Gates Foundation and the the many actions related to the recent coronavirus and how it mirrors the actions taken by Dr. Fauci related to HIV – AIDS. Dr. Shiva says about Dr. Fauci that he is a “total front man” and no one will call him out because he is behind grant funding. He says the the current discussion by Dr. Fauci on the virus is total BS “because the immune system cannot be destroyed by a virus.”

Dr. Shiva also went on recently with Bill Mitchell and their discussion was posted on Twitter.

The two revealed Dr. Fauci is on the leadership counsel for the Gates Foundation and “he fundamentally practices fake science.”

Dr. Shiva is running for Senate in the State of Massachusetts against Elizabeth Warren. Whether he wins or loses he should be President Trump’s front man for dealing with the coronavirus. (Please share with President Trump.)

Thank you for posting this Don, I hadn't seen it. Tucker Carlson appears to be on a roll again. I have been watching him a little bit more lately but I think I should be tuning in more often. What he states in this video does appear to be related to prophecies that we have been given. If what he states in regard to what that official from WHO is suggesting at the beginning of the video became wide scale, yikes! I am also alarmed by the possibility of some people snitching on others for going to work, horrible. Thank you again, wow.

When the dust settles it will be interesting to see the COVID-19 data for states that chose no lockdown, or shelter in place orders. He's right about the markets, it's the only place left to go and the whole town is there shopping. I wonder if the lockdown orders will make things worse when everyone returns to work and school; will infections increase? Our schools here in Massachusetts are scheduled to open in early May, and I don't see it happening. Financial recovery is going to be a very slow process. So many businesses will never recover from this disaster. Social distancing will still be required for some time to come, and this may be a factor in preventing employers from bringing back all employees who were laid off. People will be behind in mortgage, rent, and utility payments, and may never catch up if they cannot get back to work in the near future. The stimulus checks while appreciated, will never cover the expenses for most families. It may take a long time to dig ourselves out of this big black hole. :(
