I need to read that book.. I think he wrote it as a result of the comments by Father (now bishop) Barron that we can have a real hope that no souls go to hell. Listening to Ralph Martin discuss the flaws in the idea of universal salvation, he was very concerned more souls would end up in hell because of it. He's 100% right.

'The Fulfillment of All Desire' is another excellent book by Ralph Martin. He describes the 3 stages of the spiritual life using the writings of great saints like St. Bernard of Clairvaux, St. Theresa of Avila, etc..

Our creature comforts are slowly dwindling. No telling how long this last....could be a very long stretch...and it might get worse.

This is a very recent PDF from the Children of God for Life which has moral treatments and vaccines in yellow, and immoral treatments in red.

Yes for sure. This is timely advice and right now there are some very good sales on things like chicken breast I am seeing 40lbs for $40 etc. A little work to can it but it will last a year or better and not take up valuable freezer space. With the closures of meat processing plants it is causing problems with supply and animals are being destroyed because plants are refusing to accept delivery of them. So if you can and have the time it is a good way to save.

Went to the local grocery this afternoon. My daughter likes coffee and they have a Starbucks.

I noticed the limit signs were up today limiting all fresh meat. They were not limiting canned meat yet but limiting fresh meat and rice and beans and sugar and a few other things I can't remember. This was new as the paper products have been limited for awhile. I asked about it and the checker said people were coming in like before and filling carts with meats and things. The local news had announced on Wednesday that there was going to be a meat shortage and "bam" here come the people buying the shelves out. I guess I do not understand human nature. At the beginning of the lock downs we saw empty shelves and limits on things. Everything came back except for paper products here, shelves full except for paper. Still struggling with that. Why not buy what you need and a little bit more. Don't fill a cart with bags of rice or pork loins or tp. Buy what you need. Be reasonable.

Even when we made the decision early in the week to can some meat, we didn't buy more than we usually buy in a grocery run. This is actually pretty scary.

It feels planned. This whole thing feels planned. And people are drinking the Kool-Aid and listening to the media.

That thought about all of this being planned has crossed my mind several times lately. It feels like it.
Thank you for sharing your experiences in the store. Meat is very limited here in Maryland in the chain super markets. You can forget about paper products, for the most part. Today I found some Kleenex which I was happy about. There are two independently owned grocery markets in the area that have a better supply of meat since they do their own ordering. Maybe you have a market like that in your area.

What is funny is several weeks ago we went to a carniceria to get some carne asada to grill. This is a small family owned market. They had plenty of paper products and water and shelves were pretty good. The owner said they had not seen the onslaught of people that the bigger chains had. So I think the smaller markets are the way to go possibly and you get to support a small business :)

Also, restaurant supply that are open to the public have some really great deals going because their business is down so drastically. No shortage of meats, both fresh or frozen but you have to buy in bulk and either can it or cut and wrap yourself for freezing. We have always done this because you get good quality and save some money doing it yourself.
I prefer to buy beef that is locally grown so I primarily buy chicken in bulk this way and then can it ourselves.
The Governor of WA announced he is extending the stay at home order through May with a phased reopening of businesses that will take until the fall to get through but by looking at the traffic on the roads today it almost seemed normal. I have a feeling that a bunch of counties in WA are going to refuse to enforce and reopen for business.

About 3 weeks ago, our parents' couldn't find any toilet paper or paper towels in a small town in Louisiana, so my wife and I went down there to stock them up with supplies, and canned food. While we searched for supplies we especially had trouble finding toilet paper, which brings me to this wonderful quote from Michael J. Matt from this Remnant Video where he says.

"My wife went to the grocery store yesterday to discover that there has been a run on toilet paper of all things. Apparently for the most part, toilet paper is also Chinese made, manufactured and imported to our country and there is a certain irony in this. The shelves are empty of toilet paper in the middle of this apparent apocalypse that we're all living through. Our first concern as enlightened citizens of the New World, is not how to wipe the filth out of our souls, but rather how to wipe the filth off our bottoms, to be quite blunt and frank, I mean that pretty much says it all."

Buying bulk can save money. Good idea also.

Both Pinal and Maricopa county sheriffs have gone public in saying they will not enforce the stay at home order. Sheriff Lamb said people have to work and make a living so he wouldn't enforce. He did say everyone should follow the CDC guidelines for distancing and such but people need to get back to normal.

Sometimes AZ isn't so bad :)

Yes, we have been finding paper products in the small family owned markets and as you say we get to support small businesses.

So sorry to hear about your Mom, Donna. Prayers for her return to good health . I think one of the most awful things to do to both patient and family member is to keep them apart. Yes, I understand the danger of passing Covid to a loved one but I think it's more perilous for the patient to forgo an advocate in case decisions need to be made and no one is present to speak for the patient.

This information is very, very troubling indeed. If you can make time to watch this. This is not a bizarre conspiracy theory it is out there in the mainstream media.

It has very good factual and scientific foundation.

It makes me think Satanists and New World Order. I suspected this from the beginning.
