All you can do is pray for them even though you know their behavior is not rational. It really is insane when you think about it. They believe in the vaccine, defend it, and were vaccinated to protect themselves, yet they still fear Covid. They are out there working, shopping, socializing, and flying about the country with complete strangers who may or may not be vaccinated, yet treat unvaccinated family members like contagious lepers.
For me too, Michael Pio. And for some of us homebound this is one way that we share fellowship with other Catholics. As ong as we are gentle with each other, disagreement is expected once in a while, like in a family.
When all is done and dusted ,many of these poor people will come to us and say, 'Why didn't I listen to you! God help us you were right all along!' When that happy day dawns ,we should of course resist the awful temptation to whisper , 'I told you so!' But, God help me I am going to scream at them with all the full force of my two old lungs.. 'I told you so, but you wouldn't listen!' yesiree I will desire a little itsy bitty payback for the condescending, 'We know it all', smiles.
