I’m sure your room seen this news…. A pill from Merck to treat Covid. It appears to be in the antiviral family. But that’s the extent of my science on it. My initial concern is IF (big if) I’m reading this correctly, it’s similar to remedsvir (sp?) and I believe several here have flagged concerns that this does not really help. Maybe this one is different… looks like it’s for use soon after Dx before major symptoms start/ similar to Tamiflu I’m sure much more informed here will have better explanations I just re-read the “Spartacus” manuscript that was anonymously put out a week or so ago.. interesting in that it said antivirals don’t work because trials had bad end points and treatments were too late. S(he) said none would get approved b/c trials were bad. So, it is interesting that this dud get approved….. Because of the way they are constructed, Randomized Control Trials will never show any benefit for any antiviral against COVID-19. Not Remdesivir, not Kaletra, not HCQ, and not Ivermectin. The reason for this is simple; for the patients that they have recruited for these studies, such as Oxford’s ludicrous RECOVERY study, the intervention is too late to have any positive effect.252,253 The clinical course of COVID-19 is such that by the time most people seek medical attention for hypoxia, their viral load has already tapered off to almost nothing.254 If someone is about 10 days post-exposure and has already been symptomatic for five days, there is hardly any virus left in their bodies, only cellular damage and derangement that has initiated a hyperinflammatory response.255 In these trials, they give antivirals to severely ill patients who have no virus in their bodies, only a delayed hyperinflammatory response, and then absurdly claim that antivirals have no utility in treating or preventing COVID-19.256 These clinical trials being cited by the media as evidence of the ineffectiveness of antivirals do not recruit people who are pre-symptomatic. They do not test pre- exposure or post-exposure prophylaxis. This is like using a defibrillator to shock only flatline, and then absurdly claiming that defibrillators have no medical utility whatsoever when the patients refuse to rise from the dead. The intervention is too late. These trials for antivirals show systematic, egregious selection bias. Don't know anything about this new Covid pill, but I do know that individuals can potentially have bad reactions to antiviral drugs. I ended up in the hospital after taking an antiviral for shingles, it made me deathly ill. In my case, the cure was worse than the illness.

He thinks he caught it but doesn't know for sure and is awaiting the results of an antibody test. On that study you just posted, it showed how important the consumption of Vitamin D is to beat death from Covid. I wonder, has Fauci ever informed us to take Vitamin D as a Prophylactic? Vitamin D alone could have saved anyone who has gotten seriously ill recently, a year and a half after our government should have been encouraging people to take high-dose supplements. There are now at least 113 studies vouching for the correlation between high vitamin D levels and positive outcomes. The results of a recent systematic review and meta-analysis of eight vitamin D studies showed that the risk of COVID mortality for people with D levels at 50 ng/ml is close to zero.

Whatever, thank you…I saw where he was preparing an antibody test to be mailed. I’m just wondering if he did indeed catch Covid, what does that say about the efficacy of Ivermectin?
In the other video he talked about spending time with his friend who had the virus. I'm not sure whether, subconsciously, he had been hoping to catch the virus and get it out of the way or whether he thought that ivermectin gave him 100% protection. He hadn't kept up to date with the FLCC protocol and didn't know that it had been revised for the delta variant so he wasn't fully dosed when he visited his friend. Anyway, I don't think that ivermectin does give 100% protection against infection. The claim, as far as I know, is that it hinders the ability of the virus to replicate making it less likely for the person to become seriously ill. Also, it's unlikely that ivermectin will work for everyone and I don't think that its proponents make that claim. He did develop symptoms of the virus similar to his friend's symptoms. I don't know whether his friend took ivermectin but they both recovered. He is fairly young so may have recovered just as well without taking ivermectin.
