My heart is heavy tonight. The Supreme Court has shot down the appeal to allow conscientious exemptions to the vaccine mandate in New York State. This means I have no legal basis apart from a vaccine to serve as a chaplain. My hopes for the Novavax coronavirus vaccine was also shot down when I discovered that it was tested om fetal cell lines. I will have to talk to my bishop now; I believe he will have to change my faculties in order for me to serve regularly in a parish setting. This is the first time I sense myself wavering, though that could be more like emotional shock. I ask for your prayers.

I'm so sorry, Mario, to read this. I will pray. However it pans out, whether you take the vaccine or not, don't beat yourself up about it.
Oh Padraig, I admire your work ethic. If you live alone, the extra cash is financial security and we can all understand that. If you’re alone, every expense is your responsibility. If you work for it, you’ve earned it. No need to apologize for being responsible. Just be sure to not work yourself into the grave. Hope you’re able to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

I love your post and your attitude. I have had a busy Christmas and I'm looking forward to having today to ourselves. There were 11 adults and 10 grandkids at our Christmas table and again on St Stephen's day. My daughters and daughter in law helped with cooking and serving and washing up help from the men. I also had an English Sheepdog puppy as a guest and he caused mayhem but it OK. I feel blessed to have my family but it's so nice now to have time on my own. I prayed especially for all the sick members at Christmas Masses and I hope you all feel a whole lot better soon. God bless everyone and enjoy the rest of Christmas and get some me time and God time
Fact. You are now more likely to die from the vaccine than the Omicron variant. The Omicron variant is much, much milder. When it overtakes Delta we will reach the endemic phase of this virus. The elites know the end game for this virus is near hence the massive push for boosters and passports.

You know , Beth I cannot speak for other people but I think it is only as you grow older, looking back on it that you appreciate your parents. You see them with different eyes. You know. I suspect that the way we related to our parents very much shapes the way we relate to God. This is perhaps why so many saints had parents who were very holy or saints themselves (take St Therese of Liseaux.).. This is not always the case but very often is. The case of Jesus with St Joseph and Our Lady is a perfect example. For myself the Devotion I have to Our Lady is very much shaped by my love for my Earthly Mother. Many of the qualities I see in the Blessed Virgin I saw in my own Mother. My mother saw the deaths of two of her sons, which no mother should ever have to do. I heard other mothers talk of this and said that they do not know how she bore this so well, especially the death of a son, daughter in law and two year old grand daughter in a car crash. I more and more turn in Meditation as I grow older to Calvary and Christ's Passion and death. As I do so I see Mary, a rock standing there frozen in Sorrow. I feel that just as the Passion is the key to the Heart, to the understanding of Jesus, of drawing closer, so it is to the Heart of Mary. So too the suffering those around me endure is the Key to understanding them; who and what they are. So too, understanding my own suffering teaches me so well about myself. It is a mirror to the soul.
The Cure of Ars gave a really wonderful homily on the use of money which I listened to a few months back. He said that what we regard as , 'Our money', if never really ours. We are only entrusted with it by God on trust. That after we die at our Judgement we will have to account to God for every dime we spend. Because the money we choose to spend on ourselves could have well been spent on helping others. I found this very,very sobering. I had never thought of this before. It made me so grateful that I have never really had much money to waste.

Yes. I listened to the video of Restrepo. Living in Faith I will pray . Please someone tell me what you think of Restrepo’s video. I’m confused. He was very critical of Vigano. He seems to think we are listening to conspiracy theories but the front line doctors see problems with the vaccine. Who do we believe. In our area Omicron is rampant so we — compromised unvaccinated are hibernating.
