No, arginine works against lysine. Check it out. There are some dietary things that should be avoided when taking lysine for a virus. Anything with caffeine, chocolate, and I can’t remember others off the top of my head.

Also it was noted by Dr. Mercola to avoid caffeine when taking the lysine to heal the viruses. I take it to mean to avoid the high arginine foods while taking the lysine to help get rid of the virus. That's an extensive list of protein-rich foods that most of us consume on a daily basis.

OTC in your vitamin section. 500mg. or 1000mg. I do well on the 500mg., but just bought 1000mg. because it was on sale, a twofer sale. Been taking it for 30 years and have been doing well through covid, also have done the quecertin-zinc, vit. c-d routine as well at times.
I take a pill but it's contained in some foods. I think that sardines were mentioned in the report in Sam's link. It's advisable to check with your doctor before taking any supplements, especially if you're taking any medication. When I eased off taking Vitamin D, I had had a blood test which showed my vitamin levels to be good, and the level of Vitamin D was close to the top of what many doctors had been recommending. I think the powers that be knew from early on that Vitamin D could make a difference during the Covid pandemic but for some strange reason it didn't get nearly as much attention as the vaccines.
