This is a very beautiful thing, entrusting our nation to Mary's maternal care. I love it. Yet, it saddens me that the only prayers that mention sin and repentance are the prayers of the Rosary: one decade prayed near the beginning of the service.

How many times do we cry out for mercy in the prayers of the Church and those in our personal devotions?

In Holy Mass, there is the penitential rite.
In the Our Father taught by the Lord himself, a pleading for forgiveness.
In the Agnus Dei: Have mercy on us!
In the Fatima prayer attached to the Rosary there is a pleading for forgiveness and a saving from Hell.

The prayers of Consecration are beautiful and I can pray them from the heart, but they are missing that essential ingredient of repentance and the acknowledgement of our weaknesses and sin.

I will pray these prayers with Geralyn, but we will begin with Psalm 85:

1 LORD, thou wast favorable to thy land; thou didst restore the fortunes of Jacob.
2 Thou didst forgive the iniquity of thy people; thou didst pardon all their sin.
3 Thou didst withdraw all thy wrath; thou didst turn from thy hot anger.
4 Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away thy indignation toward us!
5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou prolong thy anger to all generations?
6 Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?
7 Show us thy steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
8 Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints, to those who turn to him in their hearts. 9 Surely his salvation is at hand for those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness will spring up from the ground, and righteousness will look down from the sky.
12 Yea, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before him, and make his footsteps a way.

  5. Pedro Regis – A Shipwreck of Faith
Our Lady Queen of Peace to Pedro Regis , April 30, 2020:

Dear children, bend your knees in prayer, for many souls will walk in the darkness of false doctrines. There will be a great shipwreck in the faith and the pain will be great for My poor children. Stay with Jesus. Defend His Gospel and remain faithful to the true Magisterium of His Church. Those who remain faithful until the end will be proclaimed Blessed of the Father. Give me your hands and I will lead you to Him who is your Sole and True Savior. Be attentive. In everything, God first. Onward in defense of the truth. This is the message that I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed Me to gather you here once more. I bless you, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace.

  7. I wound up deleting the video since after watching the entire thing I didn't find a whole lot new that hasn't been reported w/ same questions and doubts. But glad you got to see it since it does end in the real foundation for it all.....Satan w/ willing minions of this world as a lead up and test for the coming planned takeover but for those who remain close to God.

I wouldn't doubt if Trump knows that this planned pandemic didn't just escape from that lab, but it was a planned "escape".

A lot of it has been reported but it was nice to see it lined up and presented as a whole. We get bits and pieces and gut feelings about things if we search for it. The msm certainly isn't reporting truthfully. I was glad to see it .

If I were an Evil Empire, I would build a Biological Lab that would release a destructive virus that would mutate and unleash a global pandemic, and I would build it just a handful of miles away from where a wet, food market was located, so that there would be some doubt as to where the virus originated.

When I was younger, I loved mainstream music and I would listen to it all the time. I thought that the news was so boring. Oh, how I wish that I could go back in time and listen to people like Paul Harvey and Bishop Sheen. There used to be a song that I used to love by a group named the Bugles, it was called “Video Killed the Radio Star.” It wasn’t until about 5 years ago that I had discovered Catholic Radio and I am so blessed that “EWTN” “Killed my Radio Star.”

So sad , reports of 98 deaths in a New York Care Home. I read of one recently in Dublin with 56 dead and from Spain reports of old folk abandoned and left to die in them.

    Prayers for all.

You know Health Experts have a chilling phrase they use about people who die in Pandemics who would have died in a few years anyway. They call it,

    'Harvesting'.

I was thinking about this because it relates to something Jesus said about Harvesting in Scripture.

The angels are sent forth to Harvest souls. This relates to the Catholic Tradition of the Angel of the Pestilence with a Flaming Sword also Harvesting.

  17. Russia very pro life???

Russia leads the world in abortions compared to live births...the most optimistic estimates say there are now 2 births per 1 abortion. Compare that with, say, the USA which has 6 births per 1 abortion.

Let's also dispel the myth of many pro-Putin supporters that he is pro life.....HE IS PRO CHOICE AND HAS STATED SO...

    2017 Putin quote...
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/fortun...sia-abortion-pro-choice-press-conference/amp/
Russian President Vladimir Putin finally came out as pro-choice on Thursday.

“In the modern world, the decision is up to the woman herself,” Russia’s president said in his annual marathon press conference on Wednesday, which ran to just shy of four hours. Any attempt to suppress it, he added, would only push the practice underground, causing immense damage to women’s health.

Putin also cautioned against tightening the country’s historically liberal laws on abortion any further, saying that any decision on future regulation “must be careful, considered and based on the general mood in society and the moral and ethical norms that have developed in society.”
    ---------------------------------------
Niether China nor Russia are pro-life. Don't believe the propaganda.
    ---------------------------------------
And Putin is touted as a strong Orthodox but he doesn't let his Church's teaching against abortion dictate his political stance.

Sounds like prominant US politicians who tout their Catholic faith but are pro choice...like Pelosi and Biden. Are they strong Catholics?

Anyone want to defend Putin's abortion stance?

I had no idea Putin backed abortion. A bit of a shock.

This made me pause and wonder what the Russian Orthodox stand on abortion is?

Well it seems to be very straight forward indeed. They state in no uncertain terms that Abortion is Murder. Just as simple as that.

    https://mospat.ru/en/documents/social-concepts/xii/

XII. 2. Since the ancient time the Church has viewed deliberate abortion as a grave sin. The canons equate abortion with murder. This assessment is based on the conviction that the conception of a human being is a gift of God. Therefore, from the moment of conception any encroachment on the life of a future human being is criminal.

The Psalmist describes the development of the foetus in a mother’s womb as God’s creative action: «thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb… My substance was not hid from thee, them I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest part of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance» (Ps. 139:13, 15-16). Job testifies to the same in the words addressed to God: «thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about… Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved by spirit… Thou brought me forth out of the womb» (Job 10:8-12, 18). «I formed thee in the belly… and before thou comest out of the womb I sanctified thee», says the Lord to the Prophet Jeremiah. «Thou shalt not procure abortion, nor commit infanticide» — this order is placed among the most important commandments of God in the Teaching of the Twelve Apostles, one of the oldest Christian manuscripts. «A woman who brought on abortion is a murderer and will give an account to God», wrote Athenagoras, an apologist of the 2nd century. «One who will be man is already man», argued Tertullian at the turn of the 3d century. «She who purposely destroys the foetus, shall suffer the punishment of murder… Those who give drugs for procuring abortion, and those who receive poisons to kill the foetus, are subjected to the same penalty as murder», read the 2nd and 8th rules of St. Basil the Great, included in the Book of Statutes of the Orthodox Church and confirmed by Canon 91 of the Sixth Ecumenical Council. At the same time, St. Basil clarifies: «And we pay no attention to the subtle distinction as to whether the foetus was formed or unformed». St. John Chrysostom described those who perform abortion as «being worse than murderers».

The Church sees the widely spread and justified abortion in contemporary society as a threat to the future of humanity and a clear sign of its moral degradation. It is incompatible to be faithful to the biblical and patristic teaching that human life is sacred and precious from its origin and to recognise woman’s «free choice» in disposing of the fate of the foetus. In addition, abortion present a serious threat to the physical and spiritual health of a mother. The Church has always considered it her duty to protect the most vulnerable and dependent human beings, namely, unborn children. Under no circumstances the Orthodox Church can bless abortion. Without rejecting the women who had an abortion, the Church calls upon them to repent and to overcome the destructive consequences of the sin through prayer and penance followed by participation in the salvific Sacraments. In case of a direct threat to the life of a mother if her pregnancy continues, especially if she has other children, it is recommended to be lenient in the pastoral practice. The woman who interrupted pregnancy in this situation shall not be excluded from the Eucharistic communion with the Church provided that she has fulfilled the canon of Penance assigned by the priest who takes her confession. The struggle with abortion, to which women sometimes have to resort because of abject poverty and helplessness, demands that the Church and society work out effective measures to protect motherhood and to create conditions for the adoption of the children whose mothers cannot raise them on their own for some reason.

Responsibility for the sin of the murder of the unborn child should be borne, along with the mother, by the father if he gave his consent to the abortion. If a wife had an abortion without the consent of her husband, it may be grounds for divorce (see X. 3). Sin also lies with the doctor who performed the abortion. The Church calls upon the state to recognise the right of medics to refuse to procure abortion for the reasons of conscience. The situation cannot be considered normal where the legal responsibility of a doctor for the death of a mother is made incomparably higher than the responsibility for the destruction of the foetus — the situation that provokes medics and through them patients, too, to do abortions. The doctor should be utterly responsible in establishing a diagnosis that can prompt a woman to interrupt her pregnancy. In doing so, a believing medic should carefully correlate the clinic indications with the dictates of his Christian conscience.

Logically then the Head of State who supports Abortion like Putin is a Mass Murderer by definition.

Then how come the Russian Orthodox Patriarch and the Orthodox Church in general are close in bed with the guy?

There is so much hypocrisy and double standards in all this it would make you want to retch. The father and mother of the child are described as murderers ; the guy who runs the mass murdering state is a Saviour. Ugh.

Speak truth to Power? Take risks? No, I don't think so.

  20. https://www.firstthings.com/article/2014/05/in-churching-russia

This article (above) is helpful in understanding what is going on in Russia. Around 70% of Russians say they are Orthodox but only 2-4% attend weekly liturgy (mass).

Those who claim Russia has been converted already will have a difficult time supporting their position.
