I do understand and was in same way yesterday. I guess with a good nights sleep, I’ve come to terms with the reality of it all. It all reminds me and helps me to focus on Jesus- this is the only Truth and reality. The “princes” of the world are of course necessary from a civic and law point of view but thats it. Maybe a little sign of hope …. I live in NY and happy and feel blessed that we elected as our new Congressman a conservative Republican. In addition, he is a life long Catholic and attends Mass at my local parish. While we elected an awful governor in NY, I’m at least a bit encouraged that we also flipped 4 congressional seats in the state. Still overwhelmingly blue, but there are some of us here living in the “belly of the beast” trying our best. Pray for us! It’s tempting to run away but maybe we are being called to be on the front lines and witness and live our faith. Peace. Todays Psalm from morning prayer speaks to me and encourages me. 209-185 now. GOP within touching distance of victory. Only 9 more seats needed for majority. And 41 remaining. Dems are probably cheating, but even with the cheating, Republicans are almost through. Senate remains unchanged at 48-46 with 4 seats remaining and so 3 out of the 4 needed for majority.

If you look at the color differences on the arm of the woman to our right you can see the same color differences. There is likely some stage lighting that changes the color of people on the stage.
