"This is the other lung of your church". I don't understand what that means? Could you explain it?

To put it simply, for the Church to breathe with “both lungs,” incorporates the rich traditions of both the East and West. It's an expression Pope St John Paul II frequently used: the Church must breathe with her two lungs! In the first millennium of the history of Christianity, this expression refers primarily to the relationship between Byzantium and Rome.

The result of this Schism, was the rise of Orthodoxy, which means “true belief” in the East, and Catholicism which means “universal” in the West. Orthodoxy developed into national churches, each headed by its own patriarch, while the Catholic Church developed into an international hierarchy, headed by the Bishop of Rome. John Paul II, in Orientale Lumen, explored the challenge of reunification.

President Macron of France has said similiarly crazy things. I am beginning to think that many of these people are insane.

They act like World War 3 will be some kind of fist fight.

    https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/macrons-war-mongering-talk-is-unnerving-europe/

'Macron moots the idea of sending his troops to Ukraine, along with those of other Nato countries. His suggestion was swiftly shut down by most of his allies, including Scholz who gave an emphatic ‘Nein’. Irritated by the lack of support, Macron this week urged Nato members ‘not to be cowards’. Germany’s defence minister, Boris Pistorius, retorted that such rhetoric ‘doesn’t really help solve problems’.

It is not just the Germans who are becoming alarmed by Macron’s belligerence towards Russia. On Thursday he met the leaders of France’s main political parties to brief them on the situation and to tell them his support for Ukraine ‘has no limits’.

When they emerged from the Elysee Palace, they expressed their unease with the president’s war-mongering. Marine Tondelier, head of the Greens, suggested Macron was allowing his ‘virility’ to get the better of his common sense, and she characterised his stance as ‘amateur’. Eric Ciotti, leader of the centre-right Republicans, denounced Macron’s attitude as ‘inopportune, inappropriate, even irresponsible’, which has ‘isolated our country’.'

    2 Corinthians 4:4

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

    Pure madness.

I think they do want a war.

    Russia has shown considerable restraint.

Imagine if Russia provided long range missiles to Mexico and told them you go right ahead and use them to strike cities inside the US.

    How would the US respond?

I heard that Our Lady of Medjugorje had said there will be no more world wars. "The seventh secret is said to be a punishment for humanity that has been diminished because of the response to Our Lady’s requests for prayers, fasting and conversion".

Also there's quotes about Garabandal & no World War III:

Conchita: The Virgin was talking about the end of the times. She also spoke to us about France. I don't know if you remember but it was being said that a world war would break out in 1962. At the time everyone was afraid including me. Then the Virgin appeared and addressing our concern said: "Don't be afraid, there will not be another world war."
Bishop: So she said there would not be another world war. There have been local conflagrations, and much has been said about a coming world war. The situation is very tense, but a world war would be the end of nations.
    Conchita: I don't remember any more. …

Interview with Conchita was conducted on August 27, 1981
by Monsignor Francisco Garmendia, Auxiliary Bishop of New York
    GARABANDAL JOURNAL, March-April 2004

One night in Conchita’s house, everyone was talking about the ‘Cuban Crisis’ when Conchita said to me, At that time in my village, all the people feared a third world war and everyone had radios close to their ears waiting to hear of such a war. But I had an apparition at the time and the Blessed Virgin told me, “No World War Three.”

Testimony of Anne Mequeli from Brentwood, New York. Anne, a dedicated worker for the New York Center Scapular Committee, is a good friend of Conchita’s and frequently attends the visionary’s weekly holy hour to ‘pray for priests’.

On at least three occasions, Conchita has addressed herself to this question.
The first source of reference is Joey Lomangino who has known the visionary since 1963. Joey vividly recalls Conchita telling him that the Virgin said there would not be a third world war. According to Joey, there may be skirmishes or limited wars between countries but not a global conflict.

Maybe Our Lady was referring to the Cuban missile crisis which was happening at the time.

Or maybe we’ll “only “ have regional wars. But these could be devastating given the weapons available today.

As far as I can see from Prophesies not a Nation on Earth will be untouched by what is to come, either by wars from exterior enemies, revolutions, civil wars. The central theme appears to be the invasion of Europe by Islam/Russia.

Perhaps future historians will describe these events as a World at War , rather than a World War? Usually when we think of World War 3 we are thinking of the ends of ends. A nuclear apocalypse. This will not of course come as it would be the End of the World.

But in either case it will be truly cataclysmic.

Perhaps it is a world war in the sense of civil wars in several European countries. I believe that the USA will be out of the global geopolitical scenario because of events on the New Madrid and/or San Andreas fault lines.

I was at the Superstore today and they have put up even more tall plexiglass barriers and automated swinging gates. Basically, the whole store front is protected. It was erry going there. Why more gates ? It used to be for Covid, that’s not the reason now. Maybe crime… that has certainly gone up where I live. A very different world from what I grew up in. I said to the Lord today, “ You certainly picked your weakness child to live in these times.”

Well, as I belong to the Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church, particularly to the Catholic Church of the Latin Rite, one of the such "lungs" of the that Church, I understand as the other lung the Eastern catholic churches which, although having different liturgical traditions, they profess the same faith, they believe in the same dogmas (including the modern ones like the Immaculate Conceptionof Mary), they recognize the primacy of the bishop of Rome and they assume that they are part of that same Church.

Specifically in relation to the video, we can also say that Catholics from this other "lung" believe in the approved Marian apparitions, particularly in Our Lady of Fátima, and they have devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I would also add that it has never been easy for them to be the "other lung" of the Catholic Church. Their loyalty to the Catholic Church has been paid for with the blood of many martyrs, since throughout history they have often been persecuted by hostile totalitarian regimes and their schismatic official religions.

    Excellent post!
    Imagine, indeed....
The U.S. freaked out at the thought of Russian armour on Cuba during the Cuban missile crisis... And no shots were even fired at the U.S. I think Kennedy said he would blow Cuba out of the water if they didn't rescind.
And here we have the Brits (whom Russia could swat like a fly) looking to poke the bear! Absolute pomposity!!

England already has an infiltration, with radical Islamists now winning in the latest Mayoral elections in England shouting “Allahu Akbar”. They also used a Palestine flag in the country's gov elections .. with no British flag to be seen. I can understand the Palestine flag during protests .. however Mayors are elected to advocate on behalf of constituents, to lowering the cost of living, infrastructure planning, community engagement & accountability .. like the rise in crime, sword attacks, etc.

    I see.
I never really thought about that before. Its interesting.
They have not been the only ones who haven't had it easy though. Here in Ireland we were persecuted for centuries because of our faith. And we have had many martyrs also. Right up till recently [the generation just before mine] in my hometown were persecuted in the form of housing deprivation, employment rights - even voting was gerrymandered with people hoarded together in wards so as we Catholics wouldn't have any political say.
Now, a generation later they attack our faith in so many underhanded ways - brainwashing via the media many of our youth against the faith.
It is more subtle . But nonetheless an attack. They're now flooding us with migrants who attack us regularly and bring drugs and other social issues aplenty.
No one of faith has it easy in today's society. I think what I'm trying to say is that few of the leaders in politics both in the East -- as well as in the so-called but mis-labelled "free West", are of faith. And collectively they plot and plan and scheme to attack the faith and people of faith. The leaders of the West are as ruthless as those highlighted in some of your depictions.

I completely agree with you. In fact, you would have great difficulty finding a post here in which I defend Western leaders in their woke and anti-Christian policies... I think I would be your biggest opponent if I saw you defending them.

My position is different. I do not accept the anti-Catholic idea that in order not to accept Western wokeism I am obliged to like or tolerate Putinism... That would be like accepting AIDS as an alternative to cancer. I refuse to accept this nonsensical binary logic. I prefer to follow the third way, that of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Order and for this, the first condition is to have religious freedom.
