I had asked for help with grief over my mom's passing through the prayer on Charlie's Johnson's site to Our Lady of Tepeyac and used the saint generator to choose the intercession of a saint, which it asks you to do in the prayer, and got St. Gianna Berretta Molla. That was a couple of weeks ago and today I used the saint generator for a saint to help me this year and got Saint Gianna again. She is the patroness of mothers, physicians and the unborn.
She is wonderful. Learn and take to heart the 7 sorrows of Mary! http://www.fatima.org/essentials/requests/devotion_of_seven_sorrows.pdf
I got St. Lawrence of Brindisi member of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. Feast: July 21 Pope Clement VIII assigned him the task of converting the Jews in the city. Beginning in 1599, Lawrence established Capuchin monasteries in modern Germany and Austria, furthering the Counter-Reformation and bringing many Protestants back to the Catholic faith. In 1601, he served as the imperial chaplain for the army of Rudolph II, Holy Roman Emperor, and successfully recruited Philippe Emmanuel, Duke of Mercœur to help fight against the Ottoman Turks. He then led the army during the capture of Székesfehérvár in Hungary from the Ottoman Empire, armed only with a crucifix.
OK - thankyou Andy. Iam not familiar with that devotion. It's very apt t0day as well.. I am feeling pretty sorry for myself.
