TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 1961: [Photo] Queen Fabiola and King Baudoin KING BAUDOIN AGAIN AT SAN SEBASTIAN DE GARABANDAL The Belgian sovereign had already visited San Sebastian de Garabandal several times. Taking advantage of holidays he was spending in Spain with his wife of Spanish origin, Queen Fabiola, he returned to this village on September 12, 1961. He thus attended the ecstasies of that day and even found himself "bound" to one of the visionaries in a particular way. One of them made a step backward and stepped on his foot, to the point of keeping him rooted to the spot! At the funeral Mass for King Baudoin (d. July 31, 1993), Cardinal Daneels (Malines - Brussels) dwelt at length on the "secret" of the deceased man. Under the cover of the monarch's public activities (the process of his possible beatification was even mentioned), flowed a calm and hidden spring: his life in God, to the rhythm of prayer and penance with a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin, whom he venerated very particularly as "Our Lady of Mount Carmel," and to the Eucharist. "The day will come when the Sovereign's 'secret' will be revealed, and the world will then be in amazement," explained Cardinal Daneels. TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY: SEPTEMBER 13, 1961: THE NIGHT OF THE FIFTY ECSTASIES! From midnight to 4 A.M., Loli and Conchita had close to fifty ecstasies at Cochita's home. Taking advantage of a moment of intermission, Reverend Ramon de la Riva, handed Conchita his old camera equipped with bellows and suggested that she take a photo of the Blessed Virgin. The girl rather handed the camera to Mari-Loli, then in ecstasy; she, not knowing anything about operating this camera, nevertheless went through the five steps needed to take a picture. The photos were failures . . . The Blessed Virgin explained through the intermediary Mari-Loli to the good pastor of Barro, that "even if these photos had been better, he would not in any way have believed more than he already did." Two other attempts, also by Mari-Loli, to "photograph" the Virgin of Mount Carmel (on March 12, 1962 and January 1, 1963) apparently did not come out any better. MARY'S VOICE IS HEARD ! August 4,1961 OUR BLESSED MOTHER'S VOICE IS HEARD ! Conchita recounts the the story in the book "Our Lady comes to Garabandal" . She said " I was returning from the fields,we met my Godmother Maximina Gonzalez, she was very excited and said this to us "Do you know the voice of the Blessed Virgin has been heard on a tape recorder ?" " What did she say I asked ? " She replied " Loli and Jacinta asked her (The Blessed Virgin) "Speak, Please Speak" and the people heard an answer : " No, I wont speak " . My Godmother told me that people began to cry because they were very moved at having heard the Blessed Virgin's voice. ARE YOUR HANDS EMPTY ? The Last Apparition at Garabandal November 13, 1965, was a day mixed with joy and sadness for Conchita. The Virgin appeared with her Child to the teenager but it was to be for the last time at Garabandal. As Mary had already indicated this was to be a special apparition for kissing religious objects and Conchita had many with her. After kissing the articles, the Virgin said: 'Through the kiss I have bestowed on these objects, my Son will perform prodigies. Distribute them to others. Talk to me, Conchita, talk to me about my children. I hold them all beneath my mantle. This will be the last time you will see me here but I shall always be with you and with all my children. Conchita, why don't you go and visit my Son in the tabernacle? He waits for you night and day." Conchita said to the Virgin, "I am so happy when I see both of you. Why don't you take me now to heaven with you?" She replied, "Remember what I told you on your patronal feast day? " When you present yourself before God, your hands must be filled with good deeds done for your brothers and for His glory. At the present time, your hands are empty."
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY : SEPTEMBER 15, 1961: The "film of sinners" unfolds before the eyes of Mari-Cruz and Conchita! THE "FILM OF SINNERS" In the two Messages of Garabandal, the prediction of the Chastisement that will strike the entire human race, if the latter persists in its immoral behavior, strongly expresses what Msgr. Beitia Aldazabal, the principle titular bishop of Santander at the time of the apparitions and locutions, called "the doctrine of God offended by our sins." This expression occurs eight hundred times in the Bible. In the Old Covenant, it is already associated with the holiness of God. Horror of sin was instilled in the girls from the beginning of the apparitions by a Marian catechesis sustained and, at times, even highlighted with very painful ecstasies bearing on the iniquity of the world and the ordeals it would create. While awaiting original complementary documents, we set this terrifying vision, during which the Blessed Virgin showed the "film of sinners" to the visionaries, on September 15, Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Then the terrified protestations of the children were heard: "No, no! , , , What horror! How hideous! Take that away (from our sight) . . . Yes, sacrifices (for sinners)! . . ." Glenn, I would like to ask you if you know or could explain for me, if the miracle is to follow the warning within a year and Conchita knows the time of the miracle and it will be announced, what or why was the purpose for the time of the warning given to Mari Loli. I guess I don't understand that the value of that information being given if it will not be announced to the public prior to it happening.
S.O.C. , You ask a somewhat baffling question about Mari Loli. I asked Conchita one day (over lunch ) " Did you and Loli ever discuss or swap information,about the dates you knew ? " She replied with an emphatic " NO". I asked aloud, I wonder why she needed to receive that date ? ( and oddly enough, passed away before it arrived. ). Maybe (for some reason ) Loli was given more details about the " Warning", and obviously Conchita received more about the Miracle, so maybe to keep the young girls even on some "importance level" ,until they matured, who knows. It is also possible that when you take the Warning details from Loli, it certainly makes it easier to predict the Miracle,when combined with Conchita's details. Together we need both sets of details. Sorry another Garabandal mystery , to be answered after the Miracle.
Very interesting... do you know if the exact information about the warning's date was ever told by Loli to a designated individual like a priest or even the Pope for instance?
NO, but she "hints" as to the type of year ( an even numbered year), and the controversial statement about it being in the "same year" as the Miracle,but no exact date.

TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY SEPTEMBER 19, 1962: "COMMUNISM" IS MENTIONED AGAIN . . . ON THIS ANNIVERSARY DAY OF THE "APPARITIONS OF LA SALETTE" Mari-Loli and Jacinta again mentioned the theme of communism. A theme suited to the occasion on this anniversary of the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary at La Salette, on September 19, 1846. We know that certain elements of Melanie's famous secret indeed concerned the great evil of communism that was then soon to begin to spread more and more throughout the world . . . As they came out of their ecstasy, the two visionaries did not want to disclose Our Lady's words: these were certainly related to the very difficult period of time of the Pre-Aviso. It was only in 1978 that Mari-Loli and Jacinta confirmed the fact that Mary had really spoken to them of communism and had done so on more than one occasion. [From 'Garabandal' Book, page 150]
