Ah Divine Mercy! The Divine Mercy Novena-a plenary indulgence-in my humble opinion, is the Greatest(and easiest) gift given to us by God (After the sacraments)to completely remove all sin and temporal punishment (purgatory) due to sin. I highly recommend it! It’s my prayer that when my time is up here on earth that I’m taken right after completing this Novena (Good Fri to Sun After Easter) In this way, I OR anyone who does it won’t have any time to sin again and will go straight to heaven. As it was for Mari Loli (pray for us) as she passed away on that day-Mercy Sunday. Peace! Saint Faustina Pray for us. “For the Sake Of His Sorrowful Passion Have Mercy On us and on the whole world.”
One of the complaints against Our lady of Garabandal is that she appeared without her head covered. We see here she appeared to St. Faustina without her head covered and dressed the same way.
I know several other Marian apparitions that she appeared without a veil. In the title of "The Immaculate Conception" Mary is often shown without a veil. There is also Our Lady of Knock who wore no veil but had a crown. Our Lady of Good Help{Green Bay, Wis.} an approved apparition, wore no veil, but had long golden way hair and a crown of stars around her head. Another I think is Mary's Assumption into Heaven. Also, the image of Our Lady, Mary Help of Christians - the Patroness of Saint (Don) John Bosco and his congregation does not wear a veil. O.L. Queen of angels And also Our Lady of the Green Badge ( The Green Scapular ).
Today in Garabandal History NOVEMBER 28, 1963: For the second time this month, when the locutions began, each of the two visionaries was unaware that her companion was going through the same spiritual experience. CONCHITA'S AND MARI-LOLI'S LOCUTIONS The Blessed Virgin spoke to the two visionaries about Felipe Sobrado, a priest martyr of the Spanish Civil War, and whose remains were transferred to the church of Pontejoz, on November 18, 1963 precisely. "He will not be canonized, but through his intercession God will perform miracles" said the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel to Conchita. The locutions always came when Conchita and Loli were praying. The most important ones were given them at the church after they had received Holy Communion. [Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, page 179]
A Fatima Garabandal Visit ( Sr. Lucia mentions Conchita ) ( A great story provided originally by Joey's magazine, and later reposted by our good friend Aviso. Sorry but the original article PDF, will not open ) Thankfully Aviso saved this ! https://garabandalnews.org/2015/08/29/a-fatima-garabandal-visit/ Also I remember reading this mention of Sr. Lucia joking with Conchita, meeting her in Fatima. http://www.stjosephpublications.com/download/PDF/Miracle_at_Garabandal.pdf (scroll to the bottom of page 22 )
Today in Garabandal history : November 29,1966 (A foreshadowing of Mary's future prediction of "many priests are on the road to perdition " ) Notes recorded by Mother Nieves ( the directress of Conchita's college ) "Conchita's Recollections" Conchita: " I remember a young priest of the Heart of Mary, to whom I wanted to give the crucifix to kiss, drew back, and weeping said, I am not worthy, I am not worthy . . . When I had finished seeing the Virgin, I went up to him and, apart from everyone, communicated to him what she had told me. He wants to take off the habit and leave the congregation. On hearing this, he began to cry again. I've never seen him since."
A Doctor’s experience " My husband approached the kneeling girls, grabbed Loli under her arms, and attempted to lift her. It was impossible to even budge her. She appeared welded to the floor, more like a block of stone than a little girl " http://www.ourlady.ca/info/drExperience.htm
One aspect of the Garabandal apparitions that I have always treasured is how Our Lady related to the children in a simple, playful, joyful way, as a young mother would. Too often we attempt to construct a timetable centered on catastrophic events. May all these calculations be the result of a much deeper hope and anticipation within: that of the simplicity to be found during the Era of Peace. Mercedes Salisachs Mercedes Salisachs Roviralta was a Spanish writer and novelist. She began her career when she was a teenager and published more than thirty five novels. Salisachs died in Barcelona from natural causes, at age 97. Mercedes Salisachs was from Barcelona and made three trips to Garabandal during the time of the apparitions and stayed for several days each time witnessing a significant number of ecstasies. Her first visit was over Easter in 1962 (recounted in our March-April 2003 edition) about which she gives a moving testimony of how after being distraught over the death of her son in an auto accident she learned (from Our Lady through Mari Loli) on Holy Saturday that he was in heaven. Her 5 part interview , I have pieced together for your convenience to read. Girls in ecstasy saying rosary & singing to Mother Mary (In Spanish ) Edition of the Holy Rosary made with original audio of the visionaries in ecstasy praying with the Blessed Virgin Mary in Garabandal. Between each Mystery of the Rosary is inserted a song the girls and the faithful present prayed in the presence of Heavenly Mother.
MORNING OFFERING PRAYER Our Blessed Mother said in Garabandal on October 18th, 1961, "We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. " In 1945 Jesus told Lucia, the seer of Fatima, "The sacrifice and penance I now seek and require is the fulfillment of your state in life and the observance of my laws." Whatever your state in life may be you can sanctify all your daily actions if upon arising you recite sincerely the morning offering prayer. Through the "Morning Offering of Reparation" every act you do becomes a sacrifice. The word "sacrifice" means to make "holy." Once you have made your morning offering you make "holy" every act you do throughout the day. Whatever trial God permits to pass your way during the day becomes a penance — whether it be work, bad weather, rebellious children, sickness in the family, tight economic conditions or misunderstandings by relatives or friends. All these sacrifices and penances obtain graces the Blessed Virgin needs for the conversion of sinners. Padre Pio said it best, "If you knew the value of suffering, you wouldn't give it up." Use this Morning Offering Prayer to start your Month & this Advent season ! View attachment 7129
COMING IN FEBRUARY 2018 ! "GARABANDAL: ONLY GOD KNOWS ". I HAVE ALREADY BEEN CONTACTED BY THE FILM COMPANY AND THE SPANISH VERSION WILL BE RELEASED FIRST WORLDWIDE, THEN THE ENGLISH VERSION. OBVIOUSLY I CAN NOT COMMENT ON THIS MOVIE UNTIL I SEE THE ENGLISH VERSION, AND JUDGE ITS CONTENT.
DECEMBER & CHRISTMAS SEASON REMINDS ME OF THIS GREAT STORY ! Conchita’s “Kris Kringle” It still amazes me to this day how Conchita does everything in her life ( and that of her family ) with a “spiritual “ and a non secular basis. . I had called her years ago ( asking how her Christmas was ) , and was reminded of how they celebrate Christmas , and I’m pretty sure its different than anyone else’s celebration, I’ve ever heard of. Their form of a “ Kris Kringle” ( where you secretly buy a gift for someone , and reveal it later ) is quite unique. It actually starts on Thanksgiving evening. They pick a random name of a family member secretly, and for the entire duration of the Advent season, they do a daily rosary for the person they picked. On Christmas day , the only gift given to your person is a Mass card for their intention, revealing who finally was praying for you the whole Advent season. Can you imagine telling your family we are not celebrating Santa, but something that honors Christ ? She is a beacon of holiness and humility in this troubled, and selfish world. God bless her for her living example !
This is fantastic! Thanks for Sharing Glenn. While I do not speak or understand Spanish based on the clip it looks fine. But of course as you state we must wait to see the full English version. But if all is good, it’s another amazing way God and Mary will use to spread a “current word” worldwide re Garabandal! Our Lady Of Mt Carmel de Garabandal, pray for us!
But Glenn, Doesn't the Spanish version contain English subtitles, or was that merely for the trailer? Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
Glenn, Thank you for posting this. It looks beautiful in this clip. I hope the film does justice to Our Lady of Garabandal and the seers. I also hope that they put a montage of the actual photos or even a film clip at the end of the film in tribute to the Conchita, Mari Loli, Jacinta and Mari Cruz and the entire village. PS- Who is playing your part which handsome actor did they choose?
Why do I stress doing the “Morning Offering” ? An interview with Conchita, directed by Monsignor Francisco Garmendia, Auxiliary Bishop of New York August 27, 1981, in New York. FG: What would you advise us to fulfill the Message of Garabandal? Conchita: “This is individual, each person knows, and each person is different, as the Virgin told us. I told Gladys yesterday that one day I wore like a hair shirt around my waist to make sacrifices and in one of the Apparitions, I told the Virgin and made motions pointing that it hurt here. Then she told me that it was not what she asked, but to offer every moment. In that moment she told me to obey my mother and to do things for the love of God and to make small sacrifices.” FG: So it is not a matter of beginning to do things, saying, now I am going to fast, now I am going to make large sacrifices, but to bear with what you are sent each day. Conchita: “ I believe that everyone is different, but She told us this. Sometimes one needs to make great sacrifices, sometimes I need to do it to gain God’s pardon or to gain a special grace but the Virgin told us to offer those things of each moment.” This is why I stress doing the “Morning Offering each day !
