Tom. I not only saw Barry at the NY Center, I was friends with him. I WAS THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS FOR JOEY,CONCHITA & OLMC, Barry used to confirm stories with me because I have 1400 files on Garabandal , know anyone with that ? Barry's opinion is not the same as Mary's words to Conchita (no disrespect to Barry, I loved him ).so its either time to believe or move on in your disbelief. I can't keep having the same debate everyday.
Where have you read that 3{or 4} more popes and then there would be a miracle? Glenn has said only and repeatedly that So after the 4 popes would come the end of times. No where has it been said after 4 popes would come the miracle.
"Barry's opinion is not the same as Mary's words to Conchita" That is all I am confirming, Glenn. He was wrong. Are you saying that during the JPII papacy, you yourself knew that the prophesy could not be fulfilled until after the death the pope following JPII? Because that is what you said on live TV: four popes had to die. What if Francis dies? Is the miracle/warning still valid? It seems like you would say it is because we have entered "the end of times" and the number of popes doesn't matter? Confused.
Sam most people understand the prophecy that after the 4th pope, the "end of the times" signals the Pope goes to Moscow, Hostilities break out in Europe, when at its worst, the Warning, followed by the Miracle.
Thanks, Glenn. I appreciate your clarifying the fourth pope leads to eventual miracle vs. opinions of Barry Hanratty. When considered from your point of view, it does indeed add up. I've watched a few more of your interviews on YouTube and the fact that 1) The Garabandal prophesy seems to attract me since I saw you on the program, no matter how much my intellect steers me to turn away, and 2) you seem like a sober, matter-of-fact guy who is presenting an exciting and plausible situation makes me continue to follow the developments. The Garabandal message, as many have said, is nothing but an affirmation of Catholic belief and I already try to live the message Conchita received from the Virgin. The palpable reality of a immanent encounter with the supernatural is what attracts me to Garabandal and if true, helps keep me from straying into sin.
Benedict XVI's pontificate was the last of an era in which popes reaffirmed 2000-year-old Catholic doctrine; I personally understand that this fulfills in part the beginning of the end times predicted in Garanbadal.
Yes, this is true. The prophesy just seems so esoteric with a fifth pope now, though Francis doesn't much act like any pope we've known.
Bear with me as I try to make sense of things. I would appreciate any thoughts on the Russia/communism element of Garabandal. 1) At Fatima, Our Lady warns that "Russia will spread her errors". It did 2) She said the Consecration will happen but it "will be late." It may or may not have happened. So Russia is still a menace. Fatima always views it as an aggressive oppressor of the Church. 3) Pope goes to Moscow and then hostilities erupt in Europe. Presumably, Russia, who has already instigated war, will stir up more trouble. 4) Russian military seems incredibly weak and incompetent--can't even defeat one country now. Does China join in? 5) "The return of Communism." Certainly Marxist atheistic ideas are now infiltrating the world as never before. But I wouldcallsify it as "wokeness" in modern terminology. 6) Russia, the instigator, seems actually to be warring against the woke ideology of the West! Part of Putin's stated objective seems to be to protect Russia from the West's "progressivism." 7) So while Russia/Communism are certainly in play here, it seems to be an odd mishmash and tough to tell who exactly is the bad guy here. Does anyone have a theory of how the puzzle of these incongruent elements fit together or since the elements are here, God will just sort it all out?
GARABANDAL : AWAITING APPROVAL Some Anti-Garabandal people say this apparition is “not approved”, that is NOT true. There has been NO Official ruling for approval or condemnation by the local Bishop AND no official Vatican ruling yet because in 1966 Conchita was summoned by the Vatican and questioned by Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani and his staff (which included the Pope’s Personal Secretary) for over 2 hours, convinced or her story, they requested a meeting with Pope Paul VI. Conchita and her Mother, and Dr. Medi met the Pope in a private meeting the next day. At the end of that meeting, the Holy Father came to her and announced joyfully in a clear voice, "Conchita, I, the Pope, bless you and with me the whole Church blesses you." Another quote from Pope Paul VI from another conversation: "It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world." From: “Garabandal: Message of Hope ,Fr. Jose Luis Saavedra, p. 252-254 Tells the story of that Conchita gave the Pope’s Personal Secretary and Cardinal Ottaviani the date of the "Miracle", intended for the Pope decided that the Church would be prudent and wait until that date of the Miracle, before announcing its final decision. Garabandal’s predicted Miracle has not happened yet, so remember that Fatima was not approved until 13 years after the Miracle of the Sun !
Glenn, why do you (or Conchita) think God will perform the Miracle at such a remote place as Garabandal where few people will see it in person? To return the event to its origin?
Do you know another town who can boast a 500 year history of a daily rosary ? Maybe they deserve it. (with TV and the Internet, EVERYONE will see it! )

I am currently reading Garabandal, Message of Hope by Saavedra. It's good. Interestingly, the cover photo shows the 3 girls in what appears to be an ecstatic state, but excludes Mary Cruz. Is this due to the unreliable nature of her testimony, I am guessing?
Is this really the rosary handed over with the letter from St. Padre Pio for children from Garabanal?
Conchita’s Diary note to Jesus “I would like to visit you more. I want to be your little light that calls and lights up for you and grows brighter to give light to souls that want to come where you are. I also want to be the part within the door of the tabernacle so I can be more united with You. I want to be so much, but I am nothing, nothing, nothing. But since I am the daughter of Mary, the Mother of God, I am redeemed with the Blood of Christ Crucified, and because of that I am something.” From “Conchita’s Diary “ Chapter 14 (1963, age14 )
Do you know Glenn if Conhita was spiritual before the apparitions - I know it was a pious village but did she have a good faith before-hand? These reflections at fourteen years old are profound.
When I read this I immediately thought of Jesus being born in Bethlehem and growing up in Nazereth. The doubters said the same things about that consistantly throughout the gospels.... Don't constantly question God. If you love Him, believe that He works often in ways that will never make sense to you personally. No don't believe every thing you hear from everyone who claims to be a prophet, but Garabandal is undoubtably supernatural, and if our Mother has something to tell us I for one am NOT going to scoff her. Don't insult her, just either believe or move on.....
