ANICETA GONZALES INTERVIEW (CONCHITA’S MOTHER) Aniceta, Conchita’s mother, was sixty-two years old at the time of this interview in 1971. She took care of the home and worked in the fields. She died on March 7,1990. Blessed Objects :I saw Conchita carrying big piles of religious objects to be kissed by the Virgin, and then, in ecstasy and without looking, return them to their rightful owners. One time, as she was walking in ecstasy, a lady slipped a wedding ring into her pocket without her knowing it. Awhile later she said to the Virgin, “Ah, I have a wedding ring in my pocket? No I don’t.” But it appeared that the Virgin insisted, and Conchita put her hand in her pocket, found the wedding ring, and offered it to the Virgin to kiss. She turned around and gave it to a gentleman that was apparently a teacher from Bilbao. [As a proof to see if the girl would return the object to the right owner, often another person would give it to the visionary.] Cases like this happened by the hundreds." "When saying good-bye, she kissed us, and it was like this . . . We didn't feel any physical contact and at the same time we weren't able to advance further, since there was something there that prevented us from doing it. We wanted to touch, and our hand didn't touch anything on arriving at her, nor was it able to continue further. Artist who drew and painted Mary’s image at Garabandal From November 7-15,1967 , Painter Isabel Daganzo ( who lived in Barcelona ) drew and painted on canvas the images of our Blessed Mother, under Conchita’s guidance in 1967. "I showed her, among several sketches, the one of Our Lady of Garabandal—she had directed me how to do it, first in the village and then in Pamplona—from which came the image that is venerated today in the chapel of the Archangel St. Michael in Garabandal, also reproduced in colored holy cards that are all over the world."- Isabel Daganzo
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY NOVEMBER 8,1966 Notes recorded by Mother Nieves ( the Directress of Conchita's college ) "Conchita's Recollections" Conchita: " Helping others has done me much good. When I visited the hospitals, I noticed that I benefited. Then I remembered the things that attracted me at other times — like amusements, fine clothes — and I saw that they weren't worth the trouble. " From " She went in haste to the Mountain " Book 2, Chapter 3 Conchita’s leaning toward the nursing profession started as a result of her brother Aniceto’s death in 1966. She worked as a “Practical Nurse” and did nursing in Spain with the Red Cross in Bilboa and Burgos. ”Needles” magazine, SPRING Issue, 1973, page 21 Later at age 23 she came to America. A famous Spanish/American Radio personality and Physician in the Bronx, NY, Dr. Jerónimo Dominguez, knew her from his visits to Garabandal, offered to bring her over, and provide housing and a vocation in his medical practice.

Conchita— "What a joy if it were like that! But could I possibly experience more joy than I have experienced in the past? The apparitions of the Virgin filled me with happiness. But the locutions of Jesus are much better. I don't understand ... It is something superior ... I pray that He accomplishes His will in me." TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY NOVEMBER 9,1996 GARABANDAL CONFERENCE IN TORONTO 11-9-96 WITH JOEY LOMANGINO AND JACINTA MOYNIHAN. I thought it would be a wonderful treat for those of you who have never heard Joey speak about his life, accident, conversion, meeting Padre Pio, trips to Garabandal, and the Warning and Miracle. I was blessed to accompany Joey and Marilyn Lomangino to Toronto for this Garabandal conference , organized by Dr. Michael Rozeluk and his wife Helen. At about the 51:25 mark of this home made video, and the end of Joey’s talk, you can see people lined up to meet Jacinta and venerate the crucifix our Blessed Mother kissed. WHAT DID ST. PADRE PIO SAY ABOUT GARABANDAL? On January 1, 1962, on the occasion of a visit to Padre Pio, a group of Spanish pilgrims asked him whether the apparitions at Garabandal were true. He responded with his usual gruff tone: “Are you still asking this question? How many times must you ask whether the Mother of God is appearing to you when she has already been appearing for eight months?” A member of the Holy Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Monsignor Philippi, wrote: “The fact that Padre Pio, who is well known for his virtue, his knowledge and fidelity to the Holy See, said that these apparitions are good and encouraged the four little seers to make the Blessed Virgin’s messages known, is a big proof as to the truthfulness of these messages.” Document of the Marian Center in Paris 1967 Reprinted with kind permission from Garabandal Journal /March-April 2019

St. Padre Pio St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta St. Pope John Paul II St. Pope Paul VI I can’t think of another Marian apparition that a Visionary had such credible public support and defense of her visions in ecstasy. In addition to her 4 years of visits by our Blessed Mother, she also received several Locutions from Jesus himself ! Not to mention her life spent in quiet ,spiritual, humility, another great example of a true Visionary. St. Padre Pio: “Asked on another occasion about its authenticity, he answered curtly, ”How many times must she appear there to be believed ? “ St. Mother Teresa: "It was in 1970 that I heard about the apparitions of San Sebastian de Garabandal for the first time . . . From the beginning, I felt that the 'events' were authentic . ." St. John Paul II : “May God reward you for everything. Especially for the deep love with which you are making the events connected with Garabandal more widely known.” St. Pope Paul VI “ the Holy Father came to her and announced joyfully in a clear voice, "Conchita, I, the Pope, bless you and with me the whole Church blesses you." ** A Locution is an audible message only heard by the person (but it is not accompanied by a vision).
Today in Garabandal History: Nov.12,1966 I found another one of those great little stories, on how our Blessed Mother performed “small miracles “ all the time ,that went unnoticed until years later . This story comes from when Conchita was in school in Burgos, under the direction of Mother Nieves Garcia. This story was revealed to Mother, by Conchita on Nov.12,1966. Conchita speaking to Mother Nieves : “You know Fr. Collin? Now he is trying to pass for the Pope ( he is a Frenchman with a small group of followers who called himself Clement XV ) he was in my village. He wanted to speak with me but my mother wouldn't allow it. The people ended up throwing him out of the village. Well when I was in Rome, they showed me a picture from a newspaper in which I was shown at Fr. Collin's side, and it mentioned there that he had been with me and many other lies. I deny this since I have never been with him. They make up many things like this. One day a woman came to my village and insistently asked me to inscribe a card for her. I wrote nothing more than "Ask that God bless our only Pope his Holiness Paul VI." I don't know why that occurred to me. A little later a priest I know well, came running up and said to me " What have you written for that woman ? She is a Mason, a supporter of Fr. Collin". Amazing !
ARE YOUR HANDS EMPTY ? The Last Apparition at Garabandal November 13, 1965, was a day mixed with joy and sadness for Conchita. The Virgin appeared with her Child to the teenager but it was to be for the last time at Garabandal. Talk to me, Conchita, talk to me about my children. I hold them all beneath my mantle. This will be the last time you will see me here but I shall always be with you and with all my children. Conchita, why don't you go and visit my Son in the tabernacle? He waits for you night and day." Conchita said to the Virgin, "I am so happy when I see both of you. Why don't you take me now to heaven with you?" She replied, "Remember what I told you on your patronal feast day? " When you present yourself before God, your hands must be filled with good deeds done for your brothers and for His glory. At the present time, your hands are empty." Mary said “ Conchita, I am not coming only for you but I am coming for all my children, with a desire to see them closer to our hearts”. To those who keep sending me predictions of the Warning & Miracle happening in two adjoining years (in which I tell them that is not going to happen) here again is one piece of my proof. MARY LOLI ON THE “WARNING & MIRACLE IN THE SAME YEAR “ ! ( July 27, 1975 ) Q. You have said that you know the year of the Warning. Can you tell us if it will occur in the next few years or is it still in the distant future? A. No. I can't say anything. Q. Did the Blessed Mother tell you not to speak about the Warning? A. No, she didn't , but, because the Warning and the Miracle are within the same year, I feel it inside not to say anything. Q. How do you know the Warning and the Miracle are within the same year" A. Anima Christi Throughout the period of the apparitions, Saint Michael brought Holy Communion to the visionaries on days when mass was unavailable in the village. It is worth recalling his instructions on reception of the Eucharist. Before receiving communion he requested of the children to say an Act of Contrition and before thanksgiving after reception he taught them to say the Anima Christi (“Soul of Christ”) of Saint Ignatius Loyola. Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O Good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds hide me. Permit me not to be separated from you. From the wicked foe, defend me. At the hour of my death, call me and bid me come to you. That with Thy saints I may be Praising Thee, forever and ever. Amen. I will be on vacation for one week. God bless.
I was asked privately if you are unable (for whatever reason) to attend the "Miracle" at Garabandal, can you still be healed if you view it televised (or on the Internet) ? As per Conchita's statement I feel you must be present at Miracle for the healing. Conchita speaks of the Miracle in Garabandal magazine: "It will be visible to all those who are in the village and surrounding mountains; that the sick who are present will be cured and the incredulous will believe. It will be the greatest miracle that Jesus will have performed for the world. There won't be the slightest doubt that it comes from God and that it is for the good of mankind. A sign of the Miracle, which it will be possible to film or televise, will remain forever." Now , I will say ,who am I to put limits on God, should he decide to share His healing grace to some watching, he certainly can,but I can only post what was exactly said. I guess we wait and see.
When Mary appeared as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, wearing the Brown Scapular over her arm, she instantly sent a message of its importance. It also connected the Brown Scapular to the devotions Mary talked about (the rosary, the morning offering, etc) to the Garabandal messages. I felt as if imprisoned in it. I acted by the command of others who constantly advised me, Go to Mass , . . Pray the rosary . . . Do this , . . Give up that ... At times I thought I would be happy to be in a hermitage away from everyone, and to work there alone for God, and see what I was capable of doing without their forever telling me."
Hi Glenn, Thanks again for your time and ongoing dedication to this wonderful and informative discussion thread. Could you provide some contextual clarity regarding the two "nights of screams" which occurred in Garabandal? It has always been my understanding that the first of these two harrowing events (June 19, 1962) lasted roughly 50 minutes and pertained to the sociopolitical events which would precede the Warning; namely: a (sudden & unexpected) communist takeover. And all the human suffering (tribulations) which would ensue in many (indistinct) parts of the world. However, the second "night of screams" (June 20, 1962), which lasted for a staggering 3 hours, related to the eventual and conditional "Chastisement" for all of humanity. We have no idea regarding the timing of this dire event. At your convenience, and as your time permits, please address two questions: 1.) Is my grasp of these two "nights of screams" accurate or inaccurate? 2.) Assuming that my perspective regarding the future communist takeover (e.g., priests hiding , church doors locked, intense religious persecution, loss of basic human rights & freedoms, etc.) is on-target, do we have any idea regarding the span of time between its commencement and the foretold Warning? Weeks? Months? Or years? Blessings!
November 26, 1962. From :” Fr Valentin’s Journal”, Part 3 At about 2:45 Loli had an apparition, but there were no witnesses. She went out to the street where she joined Jacinta. The two girls were in ecstasy and were accompanied by a few people. At 7:30 Conchita entered into ecstasy, went to the Church, ran forwards and backwards on her knees, ran the distance between the door and the entrance to the patio of the Church (8 meters). Her apparition lasted 15 minutes. During that apparition something curious happened. Upon returning to her house, just minutes before the ecstasy ended, she seemed ready to go upstairs, but then she fell on one of the last steps and then extended her arms spontaneously in an instinctive, defensive movement as one might do when about to fall. While doing this, she hit her hand hard on one of the doors next to the stairs, which connect the kitchen to the upper floor. Despite this, (showing no pain ) Conchita seemed very immersed in this apparition.
Your description of the 2 nights is accurate. Since there is no definitiave time period spoken of, we can only work with what we know already. All 3 "Pre-Warning" events ( The advance of Communism, the "important " Synod, and the Pope returning from a trip to Moscow Russia.). When the 3 have been completed I would look for the nearest "even year" (if we are in an odd year ) for the Warning ,and most likely it happens in the first 3 months of that even year. ( As the Miracle happens in April.)
