Hello my name is James, I am 19 and glad to join a Catholic internet group. I hope to learn a lot here and have some interesting discussions. Please pray for me as I discern the Catholic priesthood.
Shalom James. We need all the good holy priests we can get, bless you. I'll offer up Mass and prayers tomorrow to Our Lady for discernment and graces.
What a wonderful desire you have, James. I know not your background nor your parents' degree of love for the Faith. I want you to know in the long run, the blessing of having a son for a priest is inexpressible. In fact, my oldest, Fr. Benjamin, who lives in Philadelphia, will be up visiting for Christmas and has obtained faculties for celebrating Holy Mass at St. Ann, Mother of Mary Parish, my home parish in Pulaski, NY this Christmas Day. It is a long journey to become a priest, but my son's joy confirms its worth! You are added to my list of persons I will pray for regularly. Keep us informed here @ MOG and we will keep you in our prayers. No matter the ultimate result, either yea or nay, how happy Christ is that your heart is open. I will pray that the ploys of the devil may not deter you from discerning whether or not to be an Alter Christi! I will ask my son to keep you in his prayers, too! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
Welcome to our heavenly Mother Mary's forum James. Will certainly keep you in prayer as you discern. May the joy of Christmas bless you.
Welcome James. I am placing you in my prayers. You will learn a lot on here. Mario’s post says it all.
Hi James! May Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Garabandal cover you with her mantle and guide you every step of the way. Merry Christmas and welcome!!
Welcome James! It’s nice to see someone on this forum close to my age and also discerning the priesthood. I’ll be praying for you!
