Hello Jerry, I have no idea what you are talking about I am fairly sure that I have not been responsible for anyone being 'booted out'. I am a friend of Mac's and share his opinions on most matters. Could you clarify? I very rarely looked at the forum during my absence, it was becoming a bit too painful for me to read some of the stuff on here. This will, I think, replace the words 'for all' instead of 'for many' to further the case for universalism (the 'all are saved' notion - apart from those who are merely 'annihilated' according to Scalfari's quote from the Pope re. the fate of non-believers).
This article is very interesting. It states that in August 1999 there was a total solar eclipse, and then a few days later a massive earthquake that killed 17,000 people in the area where the eclipse was fully seen. The path of the total eclipse which will occur this August is directly over the New Madrid fault.
Steve, don't you think it would take more of a change than just that? After all, the words 'for many' had already been changed in the Novus Ordo Mass to 'for all' until Pope Benedict XVI changed them back. I really don't know I am just keeping my eyes open.
I have had the idea that the apparition at Knock is in some way a visual expression of John Paul II's theology of the body. I think the marriage banquet of the Lamb, being one of the images and the culmination of the book of apocalypse, is very meaningful to us in these times when marriage and the nuptial meaning of the Body is so misunderstood. This is why it angers me that the Church's teaching on marriage and the meaning of our masculinity and femininity should be described as 'pelvic issues'. St Paul says in Ephesians 5 that the mystery of marriage is the marriage of Christ and the Church. Sr Lucia said that marriage and the family will be the decisive issue in the final battle. At Knock we see not only the Lamb, but Mary and Joseph, spouses, the apostle John of the apocalypse, a celebate for the kingdom, a sign of the ultimate marriage, that of the lover, Christ, and the beloved(deciple). The silence of the apparition speaks of the august majesty of these mysteries.
