God rest Rick's soul. Coincidentally, a co-worker of mine was also buried today. She was only 28 years old, a lovely person all around, with three kids under the age of four. Breast cancer.
From the first post I understood that he started taking it on the fourth day after feeling ill since he was not able to get it sooner… those 4 days which enabled the virus to replicate freely may have been decisive unfortunately Praying the chaplet tonight.
Sorry to just be catching up on this very sad news. 59 is way too young. But, based upon reading Rick’s obituary, he appeared to live a full and rich life in those relatively short 59 years. To have a 30 year marriage , a career, and travel/living in many places is a blessing. But, what jumped out at me and where I find solace and comfort that God will look now with mercy on him is the mention of his Catholic faith and the good works he was involved with. So, yes , prayers tonight and at Mass this weekend that God be merciful and grant only a short purgatory. Peace.
He only took it twice. The protocol was 5 days or till symtoms improve. Sad to hear the news of his passing.
I just learned of this loss. I’m so very sorry. Prayers for his soul and that the Holy Spirit will console his family. So hard to accept.
Always painful losing a family member. So important to pray for his soul but also important not to forget that he is praying for us! May God bless you Rick and may He have mercy on you. I remember he said that he gave his spare Ivermectin to his sick relatives, and then he got infected, he had to wait a few more days to get his Ivermectin because it was hard to get supplies in his area...
Thank you John. I am only just seeing this. I feel so sad. But I can tell from the obituary and from his posts he was a devout and faithful Catholic. Our Lady was with him i do not not doubt.. I am keeping him in my prayers today and praying the DM chaplet for him. Dear Jesus please let Your Blood from Calvary pour upon Rick's soul. May his soul rest in peace.
