The article is very good and insightful. It connects the dots. I never would have thought this to be all about the al-aqsa mosque.

The way he explained the missile attack on the girls school as a kind of Holocaust makes sense too. It also explains why the objective of this war is to weaken Iran.

But here is a question. If Israel takes down the al-aqsa mosque, who is to stop anyone from leveling any new construction of a third temple?

I am totally on board with you regarding the evils of Islam. 100% on board. But the pretext that this war is about freeing the people of Iran doesn't add up for me. Because the US should then be going into Nigeria first where tens of thousands of Christians have been slaughtered. Maybe it has already been dealt with in Nigeria when the US targeted certain elements there.

Then there is the fact that Israel has killed and displaced Christians in Gaza. Which might be considered collateral damage, but I don't think so. They bombed the hell out of Churches too. And for whatever reason the US is an ally with Israel after these kinds of actions.

Frankly, I find all this very distressing. We're in very dangerous times and nuclear annihilation is a distinct possibility, but that's not what distresses me-we all have to meet The Lord. But, all this evil, in both deed and word and intent that has oozed straight out of Hell in the last few years in particular, that's shocking. Our Lord said that 'the Gates of Hell' would not prevail against His Church, and I believe that, but that doesn't mean that they don't get to have a good run for their money.

I'm just going to back off the issue for a while and leave it to God. He's in charge and He'll deal with the evil in the best way possible for everyone.

One further thing I will say. Recent events conspire to make the Gospels, and particularly Christ's confrontations with the Pharisees and Chief Priests, seem quite current.

 

The thing is to try not to get emotional. Which can be hard. I try to balance out the facts from all sides to get a viewpoint that is accurate. It might not seem like it, but I am trying remain objective which can anger everyone in the process.

Having a point of view which emerges after navigating all the different sides is valuable. I find all this stuff terribly confusing. Especially since the whole world gets sucked into never ending middle East conflicts repeatedly. It's like some kind of black hole for conflict. In all sincerity, I want nothing to do with the middle East but here we are and I can't help but know this is spiritual.

I believe that a major problem is also a divided Church, where everyone interprets things in their own way and where evil has greatly fragmented the Word of God. Unfortunately, the Vatican has remained lukewarm; its statements often sound more like messages from an embassy than firm positions and clear condemnations, where a distinct line is drawn and where good is clearly called good and evil clearly called evil.
