Yes, "AL is ambiguous and unclear on this point".

Pope Francis is using a back door method to change doctrines and/or dogmas of the Church and God knows this and He will act.

It began with AL and was confirmed by Pope Francis when he stated the following about the Buenos Aries' bishops interpretation of AL, chapter VIII - "The writing is very good and explicitly the meaning of chapter VIII of Amoris laetitia. There are no other interpretations." This will continue until Her Immaculate Heart Triumphs.

I believe that I heard that the pope's plan is to have another meeting/synod in May to further explain synodality, I am not certain about the specifics though because I think that the statement was vague.

He uses the back door. Not the front. Always the back door.

The same door burglars come through.

This is all very upsetting. I'm lost for words, which as you know is not common.

I read the Moynihan Report and it would be an understatement to say I was gobsmacked.
This action by the Pope is, dare I say it, akin to the kiss of Judas. The problem is very deep and I think we have run out of excuses.
I think we have to take up the call of Sr Agnes from Akita and offer reparation and sacrifices and beg the Lord to shorten this time.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Well, it is apparently fulfilling the prophecy about events beginning at the top. (I paraphrase) We have that to hang onto. And as Maryrose said, pray, offer sacrifices, and beg God to shorten this time. That's Biblical.

Dr Moynihan is no red eyed extremist. He has always been very centre of the road. So if he writes a letter like this, we should of course be very, very concerned indeed.

But what interested me was the Catholic Bishops being concerned at the Prophesy of St Catherine Emmerich being fulfilled before their eyes. Did you notice this? In fact Blessed Catherine's Prophecy of the False Church appears to have been perfectly fulfilled and being perfectly fulfilled in Rome at this very moment.

    Amazing and very troubling indeed.

'When I had witnessed this vision even in the smallest details, I saw again the present Pope and the dark church of his time in Rome. It seemed to be a large, old house like a town hall with columns in front. I saw no altar in it, but only benches, and in the middle of it something like a pulpit. They had preaching and singing, but nothing else, and only very few attended it. And lo, a most singular sight! Each member of the congregation drew an idol from his breast, set it up before him, and prayed to it. It was as if each man drew forth his secret thoughts or passions under the appearance of a dark cloud which, once outside, took some definite form.'

It's off-topic, but I've just now seen a headline that transgender "ideology" will be taught to students as young as 8 years old in Texas. Texas.

The Patriarch of the Byzantine Catholic Church (in full Communion with Rome) doesn't seem to be very happy with recent events. (I wish I had access to one of their churches).

If they are the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate (and I think they are) they are not in any kind of Communion with Rome but have been officially excommunicated. The video in your post was uploaded to YouTube on the channel of the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate.

    From Wikipedia:

The Ukrainian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church (UOGCC) is an unregistered Eastern Independent Catholic religious movement that was established by Basilian priests predominantly from Slovakia declared the creation of the new "church" in 2009 based in Pidhirtsi, Ukraine.

The movement is not officially recognized in Ukraine neither by religious community or state authorities. The organization is officially excommunicated from the Catholic Church.[1] The movement's seven founding self-consecrated[1] "bishops" were formerly priests of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and former[1] members of the Order of Saint Basil the Great. In 2009 the organization announced that it succeeded the "heretical" Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.[1]

The organization is also known as Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate or Pidhirtsi Fathers.

Wikipedia may well be correct but the Church's site in the US claims to be in full communion and a site dedicated to the 'Uniate Churches' in the UK makes the same assertion (and they are certainly correct about the other churches that they list).

    https://byzcatholic.com/about/

The Byzantine or “Greek” Catholic Churches are those who are Orthodox in theology and liturgy and are in communion with the Pope in Rome.

To quote byzcath.org, ““Greek Catholic” and “Byzantine Catholic” are used interchangeably. “Greek Catholic” was originally applied to those Orthodox Christians in both central and eastern Europe and the Middle East who retained their Orthodox liturgy and theology but who restored full communion with Rome, which was lost in the centuries after A.D. 1054. The term “Greek” referred to the liturgy and theology of these Churches and the term “Catholic” signified their full communion with Rome. In the middle twentieth century (especially in the United States) it was thought that the term was confusing as it suggested Greek ethnicity. So the term “Byzantine Catholic” came into use, with the term “Byzantine” intended to be a non-ethnic counterpart of “Roman”.”

Wikipedia is correct. Note the official name of the Church: "The Ukrainian orthodox Greek-Catholic Church". In 2009 they split from the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church which is in communion with Rome. Read all about it on their own website: http://uogcc.org.ua/en/
Here's the website of the "Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate" with details about "Patriarch Elijah" and his election in 2011: http://vkpatriarhat.org/en/?page_id=179

According to this article in Crux, there are six Eastern Catholic churches with a patriarch, namely the Coptic, Syriac, Melkite, Maronite, Chaldean and Armenian Catholic churches: https://cruxnow.com/cns/2018/04/05/...an-book-focuses-on-eastern-catholic-churches/

This article lists the various rites and sui iuris churches (in full communion with Rome) including the 14 Byzantine Rite churches: https://media.ascensionpress.com/2019/01/21/the-other-23-catholic-churches-and-why-they-exist/

To summarise, the UO GCC is not in communion with Rome. The Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church (UGCC) which is in full communion with Rome doesn't have a patriarch. The head of the UGCC is Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuck.

Thanks for that, however their patriarch makes a lot of sense to me, more than Francis by a long way.

Did you get the appointment with your priest friend?

I've already posted this video on the Pachamama thread, but I think it's worth posting twice. A translation of an old Irish hymn, it's perfect for these troubled times.
