first of all as far as i know this stone has not been altered my any human with any tool etc.

I consider myself agnostic so im opened to the existence of god or any other paranormal deity but i cant believe in something that i don't understand. this stone has been occupying my mind for so many years i just cant process how i came across this stone and its nature.

I 've made other posts of the same style but most people say its my imagination, that i am crazy, that it is just a shiny stone, but i just cant get them, i see perfectly the shape of a woman carrying a child and the son, maybe its because i want to believe in it?

Maybe you might be able to see the figure of a woman and the child on the stone, and tell me that i am not crazy?

    Story:

The story of how i found this stone , it is not 100% accurate as it happened when i was around 7-9 years old and I'm now 20. I will write it just as I remember , with no lies.

the mother of my aunt's husband (martha) had died and as the husband didn't live in my country we kept her belongings in my house. One of those belongings was a box which contained personal things of her.

I remember it was a morning and I went to the kitchen, my grandmother and great grandmother were there, I saw they had opened martha's box to see what was in there.

Suddenly my grandmother or my great grandmother (I don't exactly remember) grabbed a stone out of that box and said "hey this looks like there is the figure of an angel on this stone come and see" or something similar, and both of them handed the stone looking at the angel's figure.

I remember I didn't even care to have a look at that stone instead I had a strange and childish thought which was kind of "I would like to find my own angel on a stone too or I would like to find my own stone with a strange figure too".

So I went to my backyard's garden where there are plenty of tiny stones all over, and started looking. In a matter of seconds I don't remember for sure if it was the first stone i picked up but just incredibly quick, I picked up a stone and saw a figure of a woman carrying a child, immediately I thought that it was the virgin mary as (I raised up in a Christian environment).

I ran back to the kitchen to tell my grandmothers "I found a stone of the virgin mary", they got impressed and kind of smile.

Finally I placed the stone into a small box, though I noticed that the stone strangely was dropping bright particles similar to frost which landed on my hands and all over the box.

God can certainly communicate with us through nature and the things that we see around us. In fact, just the perfectly harmonious balance within nature is proof of God. Everything from the weather, to the food chain, and the ability to procreate. I marvel at the things that He has created with the most loving detail. I love looking at the various insects and moths that are so perfectly shaped and colored so as to be camouflaged to look exactly like a leaf or tree bark. That alone is proof to me of God's love for all his creatures, even lowly insects.

Nature really is the masterpiece of a master artist. It is possible that your stone could have an image of Mary and Jesus. If so, God would be using that image to draw you closer to Him.

There is an image of the Virgin Mary, the baby Jesus, and two saints that appeared miraculously in Columbia in the 1700's called Our Lady of Las Lajas. Even geologists can't explain how it occurred. It is truly a miraculous image. You may want to read about it if you have a moment...

In 1754, an event took place in Colombia that continues to baffle geologists and other scientists. This event was the miraculous appearance of the image of Our Lady of Las Lajas (Our Lady of the Rocks).

Have you heard of it? Most Catholics outside of Colombia are completely unaware of its existence. To be honest, I had never heard of it either until a few years ago. I came across the story of this incredible image while doing research for my book Champions of the Rosary: The History and Heroes of a Spiritual Weapon.

All my friends know that I absolutely love leading pilgrimages. In fact several times a year I lead pilgrimages to such places as Rome, Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, Poland, and the Holy Land. One place I’ve never been on pilgrimage is Colombia. But after I learned about the miraculous image of Our Lady of Las Lajas, making a pilgrimage to Colombia is now on my bucket-list. It might become a bucket-list destination for you, too. Here’s why:

As the story goes, one day a woman named María Mueses de Quiñones was walking with her deaf and mute daughter, Rosa, through a very treacherous and rocky area on their way home from a nearby village. When a storm broke out, Maria and her daughter took shelter in the rocky cliffs of a canyon. All of a sudden, little Rosa spoke for the first time, declaring that she saw a beautiful woman who was calling her. Maria did not see or hear the woman, but was amazed that her daughter could now speak. A few days later, Rosa disappeared from the village. Her mother instinctively knew to return to the rocky canyon where she would find her little girl. Incredibly, when Maria went to the rocks, she found Rosa playing with a little child whose mother stood nearby. It was an apparition of the Virgin Mary and the Child Jesus! Maria and her daughter decided to keep this event secret, but would frequently return to the rocks to pray and ask Our Lady for her intercession.

After a few months, little Rosa suddenly fell ill and died. Distraught, Maria took her deceased daughter to the rocks to ask Our Lady to intercede with her divine Son to bring Rosa back to life. Miraculously, Rosa came back to life! When Maria returned to the village and the people saw that Rosa was alive, their interest was piqued about this place where little Rosa had miraculously recovered her speech and even come back from death.

The villagers followed Maria and Rosa to the rocks to see the place themselves. While they were there, someone noticed a beautiful image of Our Lady on the rocks. Neither Maria nor Rosa had seen the image there before. No one knew who had painted it or where it had come from. In the beautiful image, Our Lady is holding the Child Jesus and handing St. Dominic a rosary; the Child Jesus is extending a friar’s cord to St. Francis of Assisi.

After extensive investigations, civil authorities and scientists determined that the scene was not a painting at all. The image is miraculously part of the rock itself!

Geologists have since bored core samples from several places in the rock and discovered that there is no paint, dye, or pigment on the surface of the rock. The colors of the mysterious image are the colors of the rock itself and extend several feet deep inside the rock! The only man-made aspects of the miraculous image are the crowns above the heads of Jesus and Mary that were later added by local devotees. For more than two centuries, the location has been a place of pilgrimage and devotion. In 1951, the Church authorized devotion to Our Lady under the title of “Our Lady of Las Lajas,” and the church built around the image has been declared a minor basilica.

    The Basilica

Isn’t this amazing! The entire Catholic worlds knows about the miraculous tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe, but hardly anyone outside of Latin America knows about the incredible – and scientifically baffling – image of Our Lady of Las Lajas.

Whether or not I will ever make it to Colombia to see this incredible image remains unseen, but if you ever find yourself in Colombia be sure to visit this holy shrine. The basilica itself looks like something out of Lord of the Rings!

Our Lady of Las Lajas, pray for us!

God bless you on your journey, Tomas.

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Tomas, in the first image it looks like someone has drawn on the stone, I suppose to outline the image they see. On the second image I am not able to see any outline that might seem like a woman and child either the known Virgin and Child Jesus or any other historic figure.

It is true God reaches out to us in all sorts of ways through nature and through other creatures. Maybe, God has reached out to you through the image you can see on this little stone.

You are on a Roman Catholic forum, so you won't be surprised to hear people have long since come to believe and rejoice in the great good news that our God has already entered human history through the obedience, Trust and Faith of Mary the earthly Virgin Mother of Jesus.

I hope you will look into the historic facts surrounding the founding of the Holy Roman Catholic Church; and this done by Jesus Christ before He ascended back into Heaven where He lives for ever and ever with the Father and Holy Spirit in the Mystery of the Blessed Trinity. Peace.

And if you would like to investigate a truly remarkable inexplainable miracle still ongoing and baffling scientists of every kind. Look into our Lady of Guadalupe. Do you know even the image of her eyes respond to light the same as our eyes, and it is a miraculous picture for all intents and purposes. There is so much about the Guadalupe image it would take forever to tell you. Please look it up, and see what God has permitted right here on this planet for us to see; that we might believe. And repent and be saved. Saved by the waters of Baptism and the Holy Spirit. All available through Holy Roman Catholic Church.

No not really in my opinion as it is just but a stone with outlines drawn by someone who believes there is something there. No offence intended I do assure you, but really.

Get a grip people, get a grip.

As a by the way. A friend had a delivery of some top soil some years ago. It had within that load an eg shaped piece of granite about two foot long. Now this piece of granite had carved all over it the old circles of our old Celtic tradition. I was looking at it again today and I am really amazed at some old Celt carving this simple old rock all over. I did try to instill on my friend of as to just why some old fool would carve all over this piece of granite...............

Just now thinking of as to just why the trinity of sorts would be carved all over this piece of stone. I tried to explain to him as to why this was done as I tried to explain The Trinity in this old piece....

Really people...........Get a grip on reality when you are faced with reality.

Somehow, as a reader, I am a bit annoyed to be told to "get a grip"... I am sure Tomas did not send his message in to be told to get a grip or to the rest of us who might be interested in the message.. We can disagree without being mean.

Sorry if you feel I were a bit curt as I have no wish to be offensive. This here net is a most amazing place. We are here to share thought, look up stuff of any thought. I tend to like interaction of thought, try to be decent and most of all be honest. A few scratches on any old surface could be left to our own interpretation. Black markers and imagination does not a miracle make.
