Mr Wilerson mentions his book the Cross and the Switch blade in the beginning of this video. This book had a deep influence on me as a teenager. I was in fact in a juvenile detention center when I read it. I can see a day when that may become a reality yet again although for an altogether different set of circumstances. Indeed, it is time.
He grew up about a half hour north of me and pastored churches about an hour north before moving to New York. He was my brother in law's pastor's pastor growing up. People here who knew him speak very highly of him.
I read two of his books, Brian, 'The Cross and the Switchblade' and was very struck by his incredible Faith and Courage. His Prophecy regarding a World Church is incredible.
