Ah, Padraig, the Catechism tells us that in the end times the Church must go through a Passion as Jesus did. It doesn't give details of the likely circumstances leading up to and during the passion. If it's similar to the time of Christ's passion, the Church will be betrayed by whatever will be the equivalent of the Chief priest and pharisees in league with the secular powers - the brood of vipers sitting on Moses' seat. Weren't there two High Priests when Jesus was condemned? Was it a split arrangement between Annas and Caiphas?
None of this has anything with doing with doing the Right Thing. All of this has to do with doing the SAFE THING I have a Nightmare of being dragged by demons into Joe Biden's Basement. It has been turned into an Irish Bar. Joe and Pope Francis, wearing pink face masks are playing pool while every Cardinal and Bishop in the world is cheering them on. Fr James Martin is doing pole dancing. Poor Joe. I just want to bring him his tablets and give him a hug. Sigh. Joe and his basement. Bishops and locked Churches. Pope Francis and an empty St Peters Square. None of them are going to win any medals for courage are they?

Biden could be the least of our worries. Have you ever heard of Blessed Margaret Ball? Her statue is outside the Pro Cathedral in Dublin: https://www.flickr.com/photos/infomatique/6046033985 I think that the Brits would have released her but he son would have none of it. That's just a taste of what's in store for the remnant although I think it will be a generation or two before we reach that stage.
I adore Blessed Margaret Ball. Her own son sold her out for dough and became a Protestant. He basically killed his own mother and became Lord Mayor of Dublin. Her very own son. Shocking. Doing the safe thing. Making money. Progressing.
Yes it was. And this is a good reminder of just what we are in right now. The Church on Calvary--pure and simple. Another good reminder to hang on to Our Lady so we get to the foot of the Cross with St John instead of running away.
'No', is a simple two lettered word. 'No, I won't. It's that simple. No. I won't go along with it. No I won't consent to it/ No I won't obey it. No to your whole deal. We don't have to be particularly peaceful about saying no. I am not very, very peaceful type pacifist person myself . I will be gentle at first in saying No. But maybe later not so gentle. When the tyre hits the road I will be a very, very, very big problem when I as a Christian say no. A very, very, very big problem indeed. Irish people were always big problems. That's how we kept the Faith. By being a being, a big, big, problem. I'll very happily give my life to be a big, big problem. If that means taking up arms, I am perfectly fine with this.
I'm a coward. They'll find me, my masks and hand sanitiser hiding under the bed clutching my rosary beads, scapular and miraculous medal.
Part of me says "bring it on" so we can get it over with. Then reality hits and I start looking for hidey holes.
It is madness here in Australia. I have a friend who's daughter is getting married on the 10th October (in the state of Queensland) but my friend (the mother) who lives here in the state of New South Wales (NSW) will not be able to attend, her daughters wedding! I have a real feeling that all the madness especially in the state of Victoria, can be related to what the Victorian police did to Cardinal Pell and how so many people just let it happen. It was a great evil, and now evil seems to have taken over.
Yes, Josephite, I've seen some youtube clips on the situation. The oppressive Victorian State seems about 6 months ahead of the USA should Trump lose the election. But how much of that Americans would endure before taking up arms is the question. I know my next-door neighbor would! Safe in the Father's Arms!
In Australia we can't own firearms, that right was taken from us about 20 years ago. It's only criminals and police who carry firearms. And now its hard to tell the difference between the two! Lord Jesus have Mercy.
