God Bless Catholic Poland. LGBT Virgin Mary triggers Polish activist's detention The Polish civil rights activist who put up images of the Virgin Mary with a rainbow halo said she did so to protest against what she calls the "exclusion of LGBT people from society" by the country's Catholic Church. The images by Elzbieta Podlesna appeared on rubbish bins and portable toilets in Plock late last month in reaction to an Easter display there featuring slogans about crimes or sins. Listed among the sins were "gender" and "LGBT". "This is something that is unbelievable for me in the 21st Century in the centre of Europe," Ms Podlesna told the BBC. "Nobody should be excluded from society. Sexual orientation is not a sin or a crime and the Holy Mother would protect such people from the Church and from priests who think it is okay to condemn others," she added. The image Ms Podlesna chose was the "Our Lady of Czestochowa" icon. It has been revered by Catholics across Europe for centuries, and was symbolically crowned the "Queen of Poland" in the 17th Century. mage caption Ms Podlesna argues that Catholic conservatism is marginalising gay people Ms Podlesna works as a psychotherapist in a hospital. But early last week, police officers woke her shortly after 06:00 and searched her Warsaw apartment - confiscating laptops, a mobile telephone, pen drives and even a stack of old floppy discs. She was then taken to Plock for questioning and was charged with offending religious feelings - a crime in Poland, punishable by up to two years in prison. In a tweet, Poland's Interior Minister Joachim Brudzinski applauded the police's actions, writing: "All that nonsense about freedom and 'tolerance' does not give ANYONE the right to insult the feelings of the faithful". The gay mayor shaking up politics in Catholic Poland Incendio! Polish priests burn Harry Potter books Ritual beating of Judas effigy 'was anti-Semitic' Warsaw's Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights said the police action could easily be seen as "deliberately targeted repression" because Ms Podlesna is a well-known grassroots activist. In 2016, she helped organise a nationwide protest of tens of thousands of women that successfully stopped plans to completely ban abortion. She was also one of a small group of women that were physically assaulted and spat on by young men for holding a placard with the words "stop fascism" during a 2017 Independence Day march organised by nationalist and far-right organisations. Amnesty International has called on the Polish authorities to drop the case and allow her to continue her activities without harassment and reprisals from the authorities. "I refuse to be told to shut up because there is a chance you will provoke somebody else. Wake up, defenders of human rights. Leave your offices, go out and say it is not fair," Ms Podlesna said. Some Poles have shown their support for her by putting up rainbow-haloed Madonnas in Warsaw or adopting the image for their social media profile pictures. Ms Podlesna, who believes in God but is no longer a practising Catholic, said she has received death threats following her actions. "I would say there is something wrong with these feelings if they are hurt by something like this. It is very shallow," she said. Apart from the image of the icon, she also stuck a list of names of Catholic bishops that have allegedly protected priests accused of sexually abusing children to the rubbish bins. The issue is dominating the headlines here following the premiere on YouTube on Saturday of the documentary, "Only Don't Tell Anyone", which includes harrowing testimonies and footage of some victims confronting their abusers. On Monday, Fr Dariusz Olejniczak - who was shown conducting a retreat for kids despite a lifetime ban on working with minors following his conviction for sexually abusing children - left his quarters in a Warsaw seminary and asked to be dismissed as a priest. The Primate of Poland, Archbishop Wojciech Polak, has again apologised to abuse victims and the head of the Polish Episcopate, Archbishop Stanislaw Gadecki thanked the filmmakers, Tomasz and Marek Sekielski, for making the documentary. It has been watched by more than eight million people since it appeared on YouTube.
Am I reading this correctly? This woman says that her sexual sin is not a sin and is being opposed by faithful Catholics (labelled conservatives of course) and is pasting the names of bishops accused of protecting predator priests to rubbish bins along with some heretical picture of an icon of the Virgin? What lunacy. She and the media ought to be called out about this. It is not so called Catholic conservatism that opposes her but God's design and she simply doesn't like it and wants her secular human rights which say anything goes put above God and the church. The God this woman believes in is not the God of the Christian faith. What a shame. I wonder, who backs this movement. It is never simply a "grass roots" movement. Never. In the US these movements are backed by Jewish donors and also had the support of the Jewish owned media. The polish people need to dig into who is funding and supporting this group and expose it. Also, in the image of that woman she is wearing a shirt with pedophile symbols all over it.
In Eastern Europe they keep blaming George Soros on it all. I have no idea how much truth there is in this. But all over Europe there is a growing fear of Islamic immigration. People are growing afraid Liberal media are of course still pushing the, 'One World', Globalist agenda..as of course is Pope Francis.
George Soros was born a Jew but he has stated that he does not believe in God, he is not a practicing Jew. I live on Long Island and my friends that are Jewish are conservative and they adamantly oppose George Soros. I am not sure who exactly Don is referring to but it seems that some people are realizing that calls of anti-Semitism are not always accurate and may be a ploy by Soros to shut down his opposition... Orbán minister in renewed attack on George Soros insisting Hungarians 'Don't like globalist ideas.' Deputy to Viktor Orbán says his country rejects antisemitism claims against his government as 'nonsense' https://www.thejc.com/news/world/je...ngarian-official-viktor-orbán-balazs-1.484119 by Lee Harpin | May 14, 2019 Balazs Orbán, Deputy Minister of the Office of the Prime Minister Viktor Orbán (Photo: Facebook) A minister in Viktor Orbán’s right-wing Hungarian government has warned that his people “don’t like globalist ideas” in a renewed attack on the billionaire philanthropist George Soros. Balazs Orbán — Deputy Minister of the Office of the Prime Minister — accused Mr Soros, a Hungarian-born Jew, of “increasing the level of his campaign against us” through his Open Society Foundations (OSF). But he told the JC claims of an upsurge in antisemitism under the Fidesz government in Hungary were “nonsense” and insisted there was in fact a “Jewish renaissance” in the capital Budapest. Speaking after appearing at the Europe at a Crossroads conference in London on Monday, Mr Orbán — who is not related to the prime minister — said Mr Soros was “funding” a campaign of open attacks on the Hungarian government on the OSF’s Facebook page. “All the articles that are shared by the Open Society Foundations are against the Hungarian government — in the Washington Post, in the New York Times, “ he said. Asked if his government would tone down themes seen as verging on antisemitic following fierce criticism of its long-running campaign against Mr Soros from Jewish communal groups and others, he said: “We are definitely not stopping because his campaign is quite huge against us.” Mr Orbán claimed Mr Soros had recognised his country objected to “globalist ideas” promoting the “super-national Brussels state and the open border policy”, and had switched tactics to campaign directly against “the rule of law” and the government in Hungary instead. “What he is doing he is accusing the government on domestic policy issues like corruption or like these rule of law issues,” said Mr Orbán. “He is not using a globalist idea against the government because it wouldn’t be popular. “ Mr Orbán insisted the constant claims of the Hungary’s drift to the far-right and a rising tide of antisemitic beliefs was “ridiculous.” “There is an on-going Jewish renaissance in Budapest — I am so proud,” he said. “Benjamin Netanyahu is saying that there is no antisemitism in Hungary. When the American ambassador, who is Jewish, (David Cornstein) is saying there is no antisemitism in Budapest I don’t have to prove anything.”
It's really strange about Goerge Soros. If you type his name into utube all you get is rave reviews. They really make him out to be a saint. You have to go far down the list to get something like this:
Padraig, Soros has a lot of money and he has tentacles in many, many places. He donated $17 billion to the Open Society Foundation somewhat recently. He could very well be working with Facebook, Youtube, Google, Twitter, etc. in an attempt to control what we can see. That video that you posted is an eye-opener for anyone who is being fooled by this man. He is no saint that is for certain. Edited to add: This is the full "60 Minutes" interview of George Soros. At @ the 21 minute mark, he is asked if he is religious to which he replies, "No" and then he is asked if he believes in God to which he replies, "No". Soros believes that God is something that man created.
I am afraid souls do not function in a vacuum. Either God fills the space or the demons fill it. One or the other.
Hungary is the only European country - actually the only Western country - which has specifically helped Christians rebuild their communities after the devastation wreaked on them by ISIS who were armed by the West and used by Obama in his attempt to effect regime change in Iraq and Syria. It doesn't matter whether Soros is a believing Jew or not. His Jewish ethnicity entitles him to claim Jewish citizenship. Victims of his machinations in Ukraine and the Middle East don't have the luxury of claiming citizenship of a country protected by the world's most powerful country. The likes of AIPAC have enough money and influence to rein him in if they wanted to. But they don't. It's hard to understand why because if he succeeds in changing the demographics in Europe and if Europe becomes a military power, Europe and the US could be on opposite sides in a conflict over Israel. Do they think that they can somehow safeguard Israel by causing racial disharmony in Europe and controlling non-ethnic Europeans by fostering a victim mentality similar to the way they control African and Hispanic Americans? If so, and if the plan backfires it would be disastrous for Israel, much as the Jewish intellectuals' undermining of Christianity in Europe played a part in the eventual rise of National Socialism in Germany. Exploiting people's fears is a divide and conquer strategy which is no good for any society. What's happening in Poland is another regime change strategy backed by the EU. Donald Tusk is the President of the European Council and a former Prime Minister of Poland when he led what is now the Polish opposition. Poland did not support his bid to lead the European Council but he had the support of the rest of the EU leaders. Soros funds a university in Poland which has a reputation for being ultra liberal on social issues. Orban in Hungary has more support at home probably because there's no Hungarian Tusk-like figure undermining him with EU backing and Soros doesn't own any universities or media outlets in Hungary.
In the respect that George Soros has a lot of money and he is powerful, it absolutely matters that he is not a believing Jew and more importantly he is someone who does not believe in God. The reason why he has not been reigned in is because he extremely shrewd. He works within the confines of the law and under the guise that he is helping people. In the USA we can see from all of the resistance that President Trump gets from the Democrats, etc. that someone like Soros is welcomed with open arms by them. The other reason why I mentioned that he is not a practicing Jew was in relation to Don's post and I wondered if he was referring to Soros when he stated the following. Don, Who exactly were you referring to in your post above? I can think of several donors who back movements in the US who are not Jewish, for example Bill and Melinda Gates; and Jeff Bezos who is also the owner of the Washington Post.
