RT is probably the best place to stay up to date on the goings on. I know it’s been banned for a lot of you guys but here’s the link: https://www.rt.com/russia/578553-prigozhin-armed-insurrection-updates/ Moscow was essentially just shut down up to Tuesday.
You should come to see life here in Ireland. Our government is flooding us with unvetted, fighting-age male migrants. Our government shoves these migrants into small communities. Often outnumbering the Irish people in small villages up and down the country - despite the protestations of the people. Our government has attacked the Catholic church on every side for years. Our government has presided over a health system whence it is now nigh on impossible to see a doctor or a dentist. Our government is using our taxes to pay for one third of all the hotel rooms in Ireland (let that sink in!) for to house unvetted, fighting-age male migrants. Our government is currently forcing through legislation that will give any and every Irish citizen a mandatory 12-month jail sentence should he speak out, protest or even have on a device anything that is contrary to the government narrative on immigration or gay rights (even if you do not share that information!). Our government has introduced a property tax on private property. Our government is now talking about repealing 'the right to own private property' (for to house these migrants). No, our government does not afford us the right to say no. The western democracy you speak of is long gone. We are under sustained attack.
Important update from Scott Ritter He says yes it’s an attempted coup d’etat. And Ukraine and the West are behind this, particularly the British. If true how will Putin respond? https://www.youtube.com/live/PE2IqsAO-2M?feature=share
Yep. Our government has banned RT here in Ireland! Our government just loves censorship. Oh, and our government recently had a penchant for sacking people from their jobs if they didn't take a not properly tested vaccine...
I have been reading some comments on the 'Moon of Alabama' blog, which generally seem quite mature and knowledgeable. I get the impression that this Prigozhin hasn't the power he likes to think he has. Even within the Wagner organisation. He might be a bit of a bluffer. It's hard to imagine an entire Russian army group being willing to engage in an act of collective treason. And to go nuclear? Would he be more likely to be taken out by his own men?
Alois Irlmaier predicted a revolution and a civil war in Russia, in which there would be so many dead that it would be impossible to bury them.
" In Russia a revolution breaks out and a civil war. The corpses are so much that you cannot remove them off the roads anymore. The cross comes to honours anew. The Russian people believe in God anew. The large ones among the party leaders commit suicide and in the blood the great gulity is washed off. I see a red mass, mixed with yellow faces, it is a general riot and horrable killing. Then they sing the Easter song and burn candles in front of sacral pictures. By the prayer of the Christianity the monster of hell dies; also the young people believe anew in the intercession of the God's mother." https://cdn.preterhuman.net/texts/other/crystalinks/irlmaier.html
Yes, there is much unknown and political machinations. It is frightening times… feels like next 24 hours will be very important really to entire world. I find that it is NOT a coincidence that today I’d the Feast day of the nativity of John the Baptist. He pointed always to Christ. He led the way. This is the ultimate only answer in this crisis. And, I know that many are not believers of followers of Medugorie but again I believe not a coincidence that today is 42nd anniversary of those apparitions. The Virgin titles herself here as “Queen of Peace”. And ultimately her message here whether you believe it to be authentic is very aligned with the Church … pointing like John the Baptist to her Son through prayer and fasting. May I urge all to pray today for peace and perhaps if not a full fast offer up a meal or Snack. Finally, to me another sign for today…. From the Morning Prayer of the Universal Church today: Scripture Reading Malachi 3:23-24 © Know that I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before my day comes, that great and terrible day. He shall turn the hearts of fathers towards their children and the hearts of children towards their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a curse. Peace
From what I rember about Roman history, the Roman empire always had about 7 armies in various outposts at any one time. Some of these armies became battle- hardened. The desire of the generals, once they had won victory in a campaign, usually was to march triumphantly back to Rome. But Rome or its emperor was usually very, very wary, indeed terrified, of a battle-hardened army because of its invincible nature. They were usually told to stay well away from Rome. Not to cross the Rubicon river, indeed literally and figuratively. This is precisely the danger for Moscow with the Wagner group at this moment, even if their number is small.
From RT’s feed: 17:32 GMT Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has held negotiations with the leader of the mutinous Russian PMC Wagner Group, Evgeny Prigozhin, and found an “absolutely beneficial and acceptable” way to end the crisis. The development was announced by Lukashenko’s press service, with the breakthrough reached after tense “day-long”talks. The negotiations were conducted after speaking with and in coordination with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service noted. Prigozhin has accepted the offer to “stop advancements” of the PMC’s companies across Russia, it added.
How much of this is theatre? To demonstrate Putin's willingness to negotiate? If I was Mr Prigozhin, I'd be donning a disguise and gettin' out of Dodge, pronto...
This all seems very “staged” to me. No way that Belarus could coordinate this quickly unless they knew beforehand what was going on. Not that I know motives or sides … only it does not feel right at all. Continuing to pray for peace.
Continuing to read the mostly very knowledgable comments on the issue in 'Moon of Alabama', the prevailing opinion is that Prigozhin is 'unhinged'. Some did speculate that the US might have given Prigozhin a few billion to attempt a coup. If so, it wouldn't represent money well spent. Hopefully, we can all just have a good laugh at these extraordinary events. The Russians are nothing, if not colourful.
Read someone else commenting on RT that a possible motive for staging this would be to give an excuse for massive troop movements. I don’t think this was staged, though I certainly admit the possibility. I don’t think Prigozhin would have been bringing up casualties being higher than reported (true or not) if he were part of a covert Russian operation.
Just being reported that part of the deal is that Prigozhin will move to Belarus. If he retains control of his troops that makes this wildly more suspect. I hope they don’t invade Poland.
I think that Prigozhin will do well to retain his life. Putin has publicly accused him of treason. Despite the 'peace deal', Putin will not let bygones be bygones, I'd suspect.
