I don't know what happened, who does? But my own prayerful assessment of the lady who spoke for the US State Department was that she was not lying. she honestly and sincerely believed the version of events she was given to put forward. However as the interview went forward she was increasingly uncomfortable. I think she had questions herself. The respectful attention paid by other journalists there is a testimony itself. I don't know. How could I? But I smell a rat.

You pose a great question Padraig. I listen to the Alex Jones show regularly. I was reluctant to listen to him for ages, as I wasn't (and still I'm not) a fan of his shouting. But, I must say, a lot of the stuff I dismissed years ago as the ravings of a nutcase, have actually, with the passage of time, proven to be true. So, and I find it hard to believe I'm writing this, I really have come to believe, not all he says, but a fair portion of it. One of the things he said last march was "how can you loose an airliner??" He said on air that the plane had been taken and parked somewhere to be used for something in the future. Then MH17 crashed over E. Ukraine. Same Airline as the missing plane. Same make as the missing plane. Same model as the missing plane. Of all the airlines, of all the makes and of all the models, that would have flown, after being diverted, through a warzone, and ended up shot down, it was Malaysian Airlines, Boeing 777. He had a pilot on his show who said that in the history of aviation, never has an airline lost 2 reliable planes within 6 months. Never. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but, something, doesn't sit right with the whole thing.

It is possible to create an incident which will demonstrate convincingly that a Cuban aircraft has attacked and shot down a chartered civil airliner en route from the United States to Jamaica, Guatemala, Panama, or Venezuela. The destination would be chosen only to cause the flight plan route to cross Cuba. The passengers could be a group of college students off on a holiday or any grouping of persons with a common interest to support chartering a non-scheduled flight. An aircraft at Eglin AFB would be painted and numbered as an exact duplicate for a civil registered aircraft belonging to a CIA proprietary organization in the Miami area. At a designated time the duplicate would be substituted for the actual civil aircraft and would be loaded with the selected passengers, all boarded under carefully prepared aliases. The actual registered aircraft would be converted to a drone. Take off times of the drone aircraft and the actual aircraft will be scheduled to allow a rendezvous south of Florida. From the rendezvous point the passenger-carrying aircraft will descend to minimum altitude and go directly into an auxiliary field at Eglin AFB where arrangements will have been made to evacuate the passengers and return the aircraft to its original status. The scientific or deductive method is founded on the premise that what is true can be determined by factual evidence and experimentation. So engrained is this idea in our western culture that it has been used to question the reality of God. Funnily enough Mario, I drifted into wishy-washy lukewarm faith because Christian morality seemed so arbitrary and pointless... surely contraception makes chastity pointless... keeping holy the Sabbath has no effect on an individual or society... bla, bla, bla. But the great thing about growing older is that I've lived to see the statistics back up Christian morality! The scientific facts are being drip feed to us for all the obvious reasons but they are there and the truth will out, as they say. That's not why I believe but it is a little consolation our great Lord has given me coz He cares! Our God is a great big God! Halleluia!

Its true people in Holland are mourning , so I suppose there must be real people killed. It is a measure of our sad times we no longer know who or what to believe. We have lost trust and innocense and who can blame us? we have been lied to too often in the past.
