Msgr Capovilla CARDINAL at age 98

Discussion in 'Mother of God' started by Woman Clothed WithThe Sun, Jan 12, 2014.

  1. FATIMA is not over after all.

Archbishop Francesco Capovilla, former personal secretary to Pope Saint John XXIII will be made a Cardinal next month.
Immediately after his election as Pope, Francis called Msgr Capovilla to the Vatican and had an interview with him.

Whatever this means, let us pray for Our Blessed Mother intentions

The list also includes Archbishop of Westminster Nichols who said, when asked by the BBC whether the Church might ever bless 'same sex unions', 'Who knows what's down the road'!! The Archbishop also tolerates special Masses for homosexuals who openly deny Church teaching on sexuality in spite of the mountain of evidence of their defiance. He is also appointed to the Congregation for Bishops. He will probably have a vote at the next conclave (God help us!)

Capovilla caused Cardinal Bertone a huge headache when he revealed info regarding the missing text of the 3rd secret.
Fr Gruner loves Capovilla and I will be interested to see what this appointment means to him.

For myself I only read into it, Pope Francis showing respect to an elderly Churchman. But I hope it might be more.

  4. Even if Pope Francis intentions was just that -as you say- it doesn't mean that Our Blessed Mother can't and won't use him to further the Fatima agenda, if that's in God's Plan -and it might. That's why prayers are needed -with some more hope.

Here we have some information on the issue http://www.fatima.org/crusader/cr86/cr86pg49.asp:

I would suspect it is more than just respect for an elder, Mac.

Looks like the hand of our Lady intervening!

  7. Cardinal Capovilla received his red hat from Cardinal Sodano.
The sound is in Italian but the images are priceless. Enjoy!

That was beautiful! I head a wonderful story recently on the radio from Cardinal Dolan. He said that right after Francis was named Pope, the next step before coming out to reveal to the world is that the Pope is received by and shakes the hands of all Cardinals. As they were all lined up to receive and congratulate him he moved swiftly passed them all down the line. The Cardinals had no idea what he was doing but then they saw that he went over to all the Cardinals in wheel chairs first to shake their hands. After this he did another astounding and probably first. He told all the remaining Cardinals that he will be spending all night with them in celebration and since he heard that it was raining outside and all those people were waiting in the rain would it be ok if he went outside to them so that they can greet him and get on their way out of the rain.

What a wonderful Pope we have!!!

The interesting thing in this article is regarding the 3rd secret of Fatima, which I believe is a direct reference to either of the events predicted by our Blessed Mother at Garabandal. Archbishop Loris Francesco Capovilla is one of the most important witnesses to the Third Secret of Fatima, because he was the Personal Secretary of Pope John XXIII.According to EWTN’s website, Loris Francesco Capovilla has read the Third Secret of Fatima. Newly selected Cardinal, has read Fatima’s “Third Secret”; says “that it concerns “an extraordinary event,” a “manifestation of the supernatural.” This could refer to either the Warning or the Miracle in my view. Garabandal is not only continuation, but the finale of Fatima !
    Here is the article:http://mysticpost.com/2014/01/17/ne...cret-says-it-concerns-an-extraordinary-event/

  10. This is a very interesting article, Glenn. If the quote below is genuine*, it has a key element that exposes in official Vatican words the fact that the Third Secret has not been fully disclosed in their year 2000 orchestration:

On 2/8/60 it was suddenly learned through a simple Portuguese press agency communiqué that the 3rd secret of Fatima would not be published, and that it probably never would be disclosed. The Vatican communiqué ended:”Although the Church recognizes the Fatima apparitions, She does not desire to take the responsibility of guaranteeing the veracity of the words the three shepherd children said that the Virgin Mary had addressed to them.”

It just couldn't be more clearly stated -in a Vatican public declaration- that there are WORDS addressed by the Virgin Mary as part of the Third Secret. Where are those words?
Instead we got all the blah, blah, blah, blah of pages of explanations to convince the world of what Vatican official wanted the world to believe in the year 2000.
    This is really tragic.

*This seems to be the original source of the quote http://catholicism.org/the-third-secret-of-fatima.html

WCWTS, I don't doubt for a minute that the Vatican had serious concerns about releasing the entire 3rd secret, and being responsible for its content, also thinking it would be too much for many to deal with or causing wide spead panic. ( Showing little faith in us )

They are probably right in that assessment Glenn. The world for the most part is so far removed from God how could they be ready for something like that or even believe it for that matter.

  13. This is the exactly the issue -and the huge problem.
According to this logic, the Incarnation and Redemption would never have happened because Mary would very rightly have "serious concerns" about the whole thing -from being (humanly) impossible, to her being exposed to be stoned to death. She was asked for consent and trust, not for understanding or prudence.

The Church declares officially and formally that the Blessed Virgin Mary has appeared in Fatima and made the greatest public miracle since the Resurrection of Christ but the hierarchy doesn't feel bound to OBEY. So God was just kidding, playing with kids ... we don't need that kind of help.

And also, it doesn't matter that they don't trust US. The problem is that they don't trust GOD who is giving instructions.

This is the problem within and without the Church, the lack of obedience. We all know better than God Almighty. And of course this is the world we live in.
Christ became OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH even death on a cross. This is how Redemption happenned to reverse the disaster that Adam and Eve created by disobedience.

Well, we will have to learn the lesson ... the hard way. But eventually we will learn it. And the Pope WILL consecrate Russia by name to the Immaculate Heart, and Russia will be converted, and the world will be granted a period of peace .... but we will pay the price of disobedience first so that we can really learn obedience.

  14. As the personal secretary to Pope John XXIII and now the main overseer of his legacy, Msgr Capovilla gave an interview in June 2012 at age 97.

The first part video speaks about Pope John's inspiration to call the council and how he shared it with his secretary.

In the second part video he speaks further on the council, and also of Mary, Fatima, and the Third Secret

The third part is about Pope John's background and his legacy in Sotto il Monte

Wow, what a great man Cardinal Copovilla is for his age. He will be 100 next year, God bless him.

But if there is more to the 3rd secret than we have been told then doesn't that make John Paul II and his successor complicit in deliberate falsehood? In other words, they lied?

I think they would refer to it as 'mental reservation' It is certainly not Pope Benedict ,Fr Shweigel , or Blessed PJII who lied.

    Fr Shweigel...
In fact, when the Pope said the Third Secret is spoken and shown, his words correlate with other proofs that this last Secret is comprised of two parts. To cite only one example, this essay will momentarily turn to what was said decades ago by Fr. Joseph Schweigel. This priest, upon his return from an important mission given to him by Pope Pius II to question Sr. Lucia about unfulfilled parts of the Fatima Message (the Third Secret, the consecration of Russia, etc.) ,was momentarily questioned by a curious colleague about the Third Secret. Fr. Schweigel responded in the following manner:

“I cannot reveal anything of what I learned at Fatima concerning the third Secret, but I can say that it has two parts: one concerns the Pope. The other, logically – although I can say nothing – would have to be the continuation of the words: In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved.” [8]
