That would be a wonderful time to go…. Would we try and do it with a tour group? When we went last year, it was through a group called Caritas… they were very good. Anyone else have recommendations?
Well I am sorry I did not post sooner but I did not get to bed until 2am last night and am just up. It is 9am and I am sitting outside the guesthouse drinking my very first of coffee and feeling that all is well with the World. Part of the reason why I got to bed so late was sitting up with two Dublin gentleman discussing matters supernatural, preternatural and mystical. To my surprise they know the Mother of God forum very well and had lots of questions. I always thought the forum was very, very small and no one knew about it but apparently it is quite well known and respected, at least here in Ireland. I know from something an American told me one time that quite a few clergy over there read it, but I am not sure if this is true. I hear the Church bells at St James. How beautiful! Thank God it is a lot cooler today with the lovely sound of crickets all around.
Well what to write about the apparition last night on Blue Cross Mountain? Well the first thing to say was that there were many thousands of people there from all over the world, from as far away as the Phillipines , Korea and Africa. Curiously I have not as yet seen the Stars and Stripes or the Maple Leaf this time but these things come and go. Some say there were over 5 thousand people but it is hard to say on a very rocky mountain in the dark. For this reason it was hard to take photos but I did take one or two very bad ones which I will post shortly. It was beautiful to see the stream of lights streaming across the fields and up the mountains in the dark like little glow worms. So great was the cloud I was very far from the apparition and only heard things very distantly because the loudspeakers broke down during the apparition for 25 minutes. The gist of the message was that we have avoided or partially avoided a coming war which may now be shortened with Our Lady appearing in Gold and very joyful.
Did I learn or see anything up the mountain myself? Well yes it was the sheer goodness of our dear Catholic people. It was no easy thing going up that dark, very hot old mountain in the dark. But I saw people of all ages doing it in their bare feet, I saw man and women carrying babies and children in their arms, I saw the very elderly hobbling along. But the thing that touched me most was the goodness and charity of the people. They helped anyone who needed it. For instance on three separate occasions people lit torches in front of me to help me in difficult places and on one occasion a young girl came alongside me lighting my way for a few minutes. I think what happened last night was rather like Jonah with Ninevah , the people repenting in sack cloth and ashes averted the wrath of God. I must admit I did not find it easy going up or down. I did not mind the terrible rocks. I did not mind the dark. But I did very much mind the terrible heat. I believe there is another apparition today for the 25th but I have no idea to who or where or when. I might call into Mary TV to see. Thank God for it being cooler.
There is one thing I do wonder about though. Our Lady called me out here for a specific reason, unless I am mistaken and with some urgency, but so far I haven't a clue what it might be. But, oh well if I never find out, it is never a mistake to visit Medugorje!
The first bit of good news this morning Julian Assange going to be freed. That's good news for truth. Maybe the house of cards of deception will begin to crumble. Padraig you probably did the equivalent of 9 trips up and down the mountain on your outward journey. Loads of penance done. All I know is my heart is lighter this morning. Maria's apparition today will probably be private. When I was there on 25th May it was.
