Hi Padraig, Apparently Our Lady gives a special message for the world to Marija on the 25th of each month and also appears to Ivanka once a year on the 25th of June. Maybe you are to be there for one of these messages! Otherwise, I'm sure Our Lady has more to reveal to you personally in this week, while you are with Her and Her special Medjugorjian children. Reading about your tears was edifying for me. I have spent the last 4 years in tears (daily) while in prayer, it also happens at Mass, while in confession and at adoration. Some days it is exhausting and it doesn't help that my prayer life has increased. At times I try to not think too deeply about the passion of Jesus or the sufferings of Mary hoping this will alleviate the tear function/disfunction but it normally doesn't, I only have to start my morning prayers (some days) and the faucet gets turned on, however on other days I do get relief from the copious crying. I would love to read about this phenomena by the church fathers that you mentioned in your earlier posts. I have never been the crying type person this is why it is so strange. My prayers for you continue and thank you for your prayers. God Bless
This is very exciting. And faith building. I am so glad its cooler. I remember climbing that mountain all these years later. I did it in daylight. Can't imagine it in the dark. Here's a fun fact. Father Mitch Pacwa was with our tour group and took us up in daylight praying the Rosary. Martin Sheen was with our group too along with an ABC crew who were filming a report. It was so surreal. Prayers for you today.
That is quite something about Julian Assange. I am glad to hear it. I pray he stays safe. He has all the "receipts" on the terrible things that happened before the 2016 election in the US.
I think the Gift of Tears is mentioned by the Desert Fathers and many of the saints who regard it as a great gift . Nowadays, though, like many other things no one mentions it I have stopped the crying now and am grateful for it. It was a little bit overwhelming. I don't envy you having it. I suppose tge first instance was St Peter who wept for betraying Jesus, Or maybe the Sorrowful Virgin?
I went to Mass in the little adoration chapel thus morning. It was for pilgrims from South America. They shouted out their native countries, Mexico , Venezuela, Paraguay and so one. When I shouted out 'Irelanda', I got a big laugh from everyone and waves from the priests on the altar. None of them has understood that Ireland is in South America! Now they know. Viva Christe del Rey!! Viva! Viva ! Viva!!
Sitting outside the guest house drinking two tins of beer and listening to hundreds of crickets kicking up a racket. The guy that owns the guest house told me that quite a few people in Medugorje do not believe Our Lady is appearing here Amazing How strange for them. Millions of pilgrims from all over the World taking over their village and they don't believe a word of any of it. Faith really is a gift we can assume nothing
When Saint Joan of Arc was talking to the King he asked her why God had chosen to talk to her rather than him, who after all was King of France and much more important she answered him that God did talk to him but he was not listening She said if he took time to sit in the fields and listen to the Church bells he too would hear the voices from heaven.
