No Mass due to coronavirus? Check here alternatives

They have upped the stakes here in the Diocese of Portsmouth UK. As far as I can see Bishop Philip Egan has sent out a directive all public Masses are stopped. I hope to attend the last Mass tomorrow at 12 pm.

Of course the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will still be celebrated; but the congregation will not be able to be present. We will know by Sunday what is next.

The Priest offered anointing to anyone today after Mass, if they were over 70 and or had illness that could leave them vulnerable should they catch the virus. He asked us to go to confession before the anointing. So Julia has had the last rites today. The Priest warned us to be careful, because the devil goes after people in our situation to undo God's work in us when we receive the last rites. So far, I don't think I have been caught, but hoping the Lord will protect me.....from myself who happens to be my worst enemy when it comes down to it.

Got word today that our Bishop has suspended all Masses. I can't believe this is happening.

I went to confession Friday week ago and poured out my soul to our beautiful young priest from Nigeria, Father Emmanuel, I confessed that I was heartbroken with many in the hierarchy and felt that the call for everyone to receive on the hand was an affront and an insult to God; Father let me speak, I told him that I would be making a spiritual communion if I was to be forced to receive Our Lord on the hand, I asked him if he would allow me to receive on the tongue if I presented as the last communicant.
After absolution Father answered my questions that I posed through my confession. He told me of his shock when coming to Australia and finding out that so many people receive on the hand because in Nigeria everyone receives on the tongue. He told me that making a spiritual communion would be wonderful but to receive Our Lord Sacramentally was of greater value, and due to the Bishops request we must obey.
He also said that people with a strong faith are to understand that the general catholic population today does not have this type of faith and besides this they are very scared about the corona virus so we are to nurture them at this time and to make this sacrifice, he said that if I presented last to receive he could still not give me holy communion on the tongue because of the fear that the other Catholics at the Mass would have if he did this.

I prayed through the Mass not knowing whether at communion time whether I would present myself for a blessing or receive on my hand.
I processed up last, I knelt before father as I always do, but this time I did not present my tongue, I placed my right hand under my left hand and held them out to father. He placed my Lord on my left hand and I consumed the sacred host directly from where he had placed the Blessed Eucharist.

I was sad, that I could not show my Lord the respect that He deserves and I offered this sorrow to Him in union with Our Lady's sorrow.

Of course that was over a week ago and now Sunday masses have been cancelled and so the persecution continues to increase, but we have been very blessed in our parish to still have week day masses and confession, additionally adoration and benediction will still be held this coming Friday, we are so blessed. Thank you Lord Jesus
Today at 900 am Mass there was more than the usual small number of people that attend the weekdays masses, and Father Joe stayed after Mass to offer the Rosary and the divine mercy chaplet with us.

I believe the Lord is touching many hearts at this moment, the Lord can turn this suffering into a blessing! Let us continue to pray for the conversion of the whole world.

St Joseph and St Michael protect our Lords Holy Catholic Church and Pray for us. Amen.

O Holy Angel at my side
go to the church for me,
kneel at my place at Holy Mass,

One thing is true the next Mass I get to I will be truly joyful & appreciative. I think I will run up the communion isle to receive our Lord
