In Ireland you can get a Merc quite cheap. The Green Mad German Government forces its poor citizens to dump their cars when they get a certain young age and then they export all over Europe. Same for BMW.
Well I live in southern England, which is regarded as the richest part of our island and Mercs are definitely prestige cars. It is true that they are often used as taxis. I bought a secondhand one some years ago as a consolation for turning 50. It was a silver coupe as my children were at college or working and I no longer needed REAR DOORS! I drove a friend in it, my first trip, and parked it outside KFC where we planned to eat. I was in tatty jeans and a t shirt. As we got out of the car Sarah heard one youth mutter to his pal “‘Ere, posh birds”. We still laugh at it. I mean at 50 it’s no longer annoying to be called a bird! Afterthought: You will see plenty of old Mercs and BMWs on the road here and in Europe because they are very well made and last longer than most other cars, which means that a person of modest means can buy an old one. However, compare prices of new and secondhand models. A new Merc will cost you far more than a family saloon. The cars I drove in the years before I got my 5 yo Merc were definitely of the budget kind. It was something of a frivolity at the time, but it lasted ten years and wasn't expensive to maintain as it seldom ever went wrong.

The instant reaction whenever something bad happens now is, oh this is orchestrated by West, oh the fire in Hawaii eas orchestrated, this was planned etc. as if its based on any facts...it's insane. Thank you Eric. I have been saying this for years to people who believe that everything is a conspiracy and nothing is at it appears. Occam's razor - the most obvious explanation is usually the true one. If you can't trust anyone, every bit of information is either false or suspect. All journalists (the western ones at least) are considered to be part of some vast world wide conspiracy and not one of them can provide the truth (except those saying that there is a vast worldwide conspiracy of other journalists). It's ludicrous.
The US media covered up the murder of 60 million++ American babies, they never reported on it so as not to awaken the American public to the genocide of abortion. It was always a pro-abortion narrative that they spew to their listeners.

Yes Steve, I remember that time, during COVID, when all the journalists told us the same thing over and over and over again... they told us the jabs prevented transmission. Nope. Wrong. All of them, lying. Then the very same journalists told us the jabs were safe. Nope. Wrong. All of them lying again. You wonder why people are sceptic of journalism these days? Ludicrous. As you say, absolutely ludicrous.
Of course, the media is unreliable. That does not mean absolutely every single thing reported is fake.
But consider that what is reported may be covering up and or distracting from the really significant events. That can happen. It’s a technique.
Let me just clarify here, by "unreliable" - you mean that the journalists who unquestioningly supported the shutdown of the world en-masse (- including the shutting-down of churches and the mass itself); and who also made half the world paranoid with the daily death tolls flashed up on screen and in print(!); who caused untold misery to people that could not be with their loved-ones - and they subsequently died alone, because the media touted and willingly amplified the paranoia; these same journalists also told us the jabs were safe - when in fact they were/are not, and are to this very day causing all kinds of complications -- including death! And you describe this nonchalantly as, "the media is unreliable". You say also "it does not mean every single thing reported is fake". Really? So who decides what is and what isn't fake? Shocking! The misery these so called journalists have caused, you simply dismiss so sweepingly. As if people should just dust themselves down, forget what these journalists have done and batter on with life..... nawwwwwwww... not fer me! I'm not buying that nonsense. Shame on them!
