The "big stuff", two we should keep defending, explaining, are first, the Real Presence and Mary's help, her place in God's plan to our brothers and sisters. Specially in these end times. The second, they aren't going to get (some Catholics too) if we don't, is the Fifth and Final Marian Dogma when it is proclaimed.

A positive, its beautiful how much our brothers and sisters in Christ love Our Lord with only their belief in the written Word.

Sad though and wrong, look what following their conscience has brought about, the acceptance of contraception. Search Contraception, Conscience and Church Authority by George Sim Johnton. A March 31, 2015 writing.

I was watching the Kim Davis/Pope story play out in the US media and while the meeting was discussed in the newspapers after it was revealed it was downplayed heavily by the big US TV networks, at least going by their websites.

But now they have this whole spin about how the Pope must have been tricked and instead the only real audience he gave was to a gay couple who are friends of his etc etc. This story on the other hand is splashed over all the big TV news stations in a big way, quelle surprise!

This spin is actual coming directly from parties in Rome, as you can read here:
That directly contradicts what Davis and her lawyer say happened, it was private meeting, not in a line, and how do you praise her for her courage without knowing her story?

And if you think about it her story is more plausible. The gay friend of the Pope says he initiated the meeting while nobody says that Davis is some old friend of the Pope, or famous for anything else, so how can her meeting be anything other than a deliberate endorsement of her position? Also the only real details that we have about who organized it are listed in the link above and show that it came about directly from the Vatican's initiative, not even from the Papal Nuncio.

But it's so depressing that these elements in Rome would throw Davis under a bus like this. They say oh the only real audience he had was with his friend etc and even though the Vatican took pictures of the Davis meeting they haven't released them while on the other encounter we even have video released.

There are definitely powerful elements in Rome working against the Pope's wishes I'd say. By the way the aforementioned Fr Rosica, and his Salt and Light media group, were given exclusive access to the internal synod proceedings last year, excluding groups like EWTN say.
