LOL, I wasn't very clear! What I meant are the areas in my conduct that Our Lady wants me to repent of and amend "next." I was vaguely aware, but, after the Novena, much more convicted.

Fr Chad mentioned that Our Lady Suffered the longest and hardest maryrdom in history. Her heart was always turned turned to the Lord and His rejection and death. For instance even from being a baby they tried to kill her infant son and Herod caused her to flee. The villagers even tired to kill Him by throwing Him off a cliff. He was constantly rejected by Israel and insulted. It went on and on and on. His foot prints were constantly bloodstanied and Mary following afterwards, her steps were covered in blood too.

But his reminds me of what one fellow Friar said of Padre Pio that although he suffered like no other , he was joyful like no other. I myself suspect thsi was true of Mary too. But marked with a certain gravity, a certain Modesty. I love the portrayal of Mary in the film , 'The Passion of the Christ'. For although Mary suffered like no other she was turned to God like no other in thoughts and prayer and submitted to the Will of God and unstood that Will perfectly. So no hysterics. But because of her perefct love she suffered perfectly.

He gives an account of Mary after Chirst died which is very tounching. He said she suffered so much that bystanders watching her , even form just seeing her started to cry at once. ..and that after Christ's Burail in the Tomb; Mary in a Real Sense was buried, that she died with Her son.

    Well how very, very touching.

One thing Fr Chad mentions I am not so sure about and that is when he states that Mary was never curious. I know in a sens ehe may be right, for some of the saints have recommened that people walk along with their eyes to the ground the mind and heart turned away formt eh goings on in this world. So I do understand the Tradition this understaning come sfrom.

But on the other hand look at a little baby in a cradle. Its little eyes are always turning endlessly curious at the world around it. The Gift that God has given it. I think to love the World in this sense is no bad thing.

My dogs have had several litter sof pups. They are endlessly curious endlessly exploring. Such fun to watch. It is a huge part of their entertainment to see this; their love of life passes on to me and renews my own love of life, for life itself is such a huge gift.

I am endlessly curious about the mysteries of God. Appartions, visions, locutions graces, the live sof saints, angels and so on. One of my hobbies at Chruch for instance is to look around and wonder which of the people around me may well be saints. This delights me.

I have many hobbies which arise from being curious. Astornomy and being curious about the stars. Walking on the mountains and being curious about new paths. Exploring new books and on and on and on...I don't find these things this endless curiousity about the world around me but rather turns my mind and hearts to God...

    Psalm 8:3

    How Majestic is Your Name!
…2From the lips of children and infants You have ordained praise on account of Your adversaries, to silence the enemy and avenger. 3When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place— 4what is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him?…

Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Kibeho

Prayer of the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary

Among the aspects which mark the uniqueness of the apparitions of Kibeho, we find the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary. We were taught this Rosary by the Virgin Mary herself when she appeared to her intermediary, Marie Claire Mukangango, on 6th March 1982. On that day, the Blessed Virgin gave her the mission to spread this Rosary throughout the world.

In the early days, the Virgin Mary had asked Marie Claire to recite this rosary alone at least twice a week, especially on Tuesdays and Fridays. On Tuesday, because it is day when she appeared to her, and on Friday, because it is the day when all Christians are invited to meditate in a special way the passion of our Lord. Thereafter, the Blessed Virgin Mary asked her, on several occasions, to recite this Rosary aloud so that those who listen can also learn it.

Thank you. It just shows my ignorance; I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Special Rosary of the Seven Sorrows.... beads to match!! How beautiful!!

I also have this tendency to curiosity, which, with the internet, turns easily into a vice. I have been wondering about Our Lady's circumspection in this. There is deep wisdom in this. Remember Eve's curiosity!! In order to curb this tendency, I think it might be helpful to ask myself continuously, "Will this lead me to love God and neighbor! Or not?"

The older I get the less I realsie I know.

One thing about prayer , I think is that it makes you smaller and smaller. It turns you back ot ebing like a little child. One of the things that marks very little children is their endless curiousity. I find myself looking much more at the trees, the stars , people and not to love them all less but to love them all the more. For Jesus loved them so much He died for them.

To some extent everything we do in life is a risk. Sometimes I go so high up in the mountains I cannot be altogether sure I will come down again. Even when we drive out on the road, how can we be sure we will come back again? Even when we sleep at nights how do we ever know we wil lwake up in the morning? So, yes there is a certain risk in curiosity. But I guess this is one of the things that makes us child like .

I lvoe thsi with the dogs. I go for a walk I enjoy it. But with the dogs I enjoy it a million times more. Why? Well their endless curiosity is one thing.

I was on the nightshit the other night and suddenly in the middle of the night in tha thuge empty buidling I saw my angel guardians looking down at me. I Love this and am endlessly curious about these things. Of course they are not the centre of reigion, the centre is love. But I love all of it. I guess it is the child in me that keep me curious..about just about everything.

The Lord must love to delight his children! You are right, there is a healthy kind of curiosity that leads us to love Him!!!

..and you know this old Hound Dog is and contiues to be curious about the filth that the Holy Father and his Confederates in Rome and round the world have been involved in and will continue to be involved in..and that's not so bad right?:)

I just watched the most marvellous film concerning the Washington Post and the Pentagon Papers. Those folks were curious about the War in Vietnam and a certain break in offices in Washington..that brought down Nixon? Well then curiousity can't be all bad:):):)

Loyalty to the Church does not involve being loyal to evil that the Church commits.

I have been thinking so much and praying to and about the Sorrowful Virgin and the Passion the last few days. It occurs to me that the Holy Cross is such a remedy for all the evils that beset the Church today. When I look at the Cross it keeps me so well guarded to the truth. It keeps things real. It gives our Faith the Hard Edge it needs. It stops our Faith from turning into a kind of Sweet Smelling Pink New Age Cloud of False Presumptious so called Mercy.

I find when I behold the Wondrous Cross I am called to account for my sins. It also reminds me that as we die with Christ so we will rise with Him. But we do have to die. We all have to die. We all have to pick up our Cross and Carry it up the mountain of Life. Looking at the Cross keeps things so real.

My main feeling in contemplating Our LAdy of Sorrows is gratitude. She mourned when I did not. She took my place.
