    From Totus Tuus Fb page:

In the early 20th century, a little Italian girl named Gemma Di Giorgi was born with a rare and devastating condition—she had no pupils in her eyes.

From birth, she was completely blind. Medical science offered no hope; without pupils, the pathway for light to enter the eyes simply didn’t exist. Doctors confirmed there was nothing they could do.

Yet, faith would write a different story.

When Gemma was still a child, her family brought her to meet the holy Capuchin priest, Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. Known for his deep holiness, stigmata, and countless miracles, Padre Pio looked upon the blind girl with compassion. He blessed her eyes and prayed over her.

In that moment, a miracle occurred.

Gemma’s sight was completely restored. She could see clearly — faces, colors, the world around her — despite the complete absence of pupils in her eyes. The healing defied every medical explanation. Specialists who examined her afterward were stunned and could not account for how she was able to see.

The case was thoroughly documented and later recognized as one of the authentic miracles attributed to Saint Padre Pio.

    -------------
This powerful miracle continues to inspire believers worldwide. It reminds us that God’s power is not limited by human science or understanding. What seems impossible to doctors is possible with God.

Saint Padre Pio, who bore the wounds of Christ and spent his life comforting the suffering, remains a powerful intercessor. His life and miracles show us that true healing — of body and soul — comes through faith, prayer, and surrender to God’s will.

Let Gemma’s story strengthen your heart today. No matter what “impossible” situation you’re facing, never underestimate the power of prayer.

Saint Padre Pio, pray for us!

I am reading Mary Regan's book on Padre Pio at the moment. It is very good. I had no idea his parents were so Holy! She must have did a ton of research to discover as much as she has:

The older I get the more I love Padre Pio. Although I think Mary goes a bit overboard about him. For instance she suggests Padre Pio will save one third of all humanity and seems to consider him a greater saint that St Francis of Assisi. I love him too..but..

Maybe that's because he prayed for people in the past, present and future.

She said there is an old Franciscan legend that one of his disciples would save a 3rd of mankind.

It seems a bit of a reach.

Although Satan said one time through a possessed person in Paris that if there were two more like the Cure of Ars at that time that his Kingdom in that country would come to an end.

Yes I often think of him at nights before sleeping. He shows what might be possible to us all. Not the miracles, but the love.

The biggest miracle of all is love.

I have heard the idea before, that Padre Pio would save a third of humanity. I can't remember where...

I wish there was a hidden Cure of Ars on MOG and elsewhere; we would be better off for it. Nevertheless, this still remains a refuge of encouragement for me!:)

I heard someone say one time that the one sure way you can know you have met a saint is that you are dying to meet him again.

I am always dying to meet Padre Pio again.

I believe that there have been at least one or two saints in the forum from time to time. You can tell by their suffering.

    Big Cross.

    Big Crown.

But in the very nature of things they are very, very humble and so hard to spot. Like trying to pick Forget-me-nots.

and their prayers. Especially from heaven.

    James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
