You are speaking of Marino Restrepo from Colombia. His experience is extremely powerful to listen to--profound.
Yes, I've listened to his testimony. Every Catholic who assumes their own entry into everlasting life with God, should listen!
I was listening to two Catholic commentators this afternoon and to my great sadness I heard one say that many Catholics appear to be leaving the Church to become Protestants or Orthodox because of the crisis in the Church. Especially as regards our last tow Popes. I wonder how Catholic these people actually were in the first place of a couple of bad Popes can make them leave like this. There have been many, many Bad Popes in the past. But I think it shows a danger in obsessing too ,much about every bit of bad news we hear.
We need to hang in there. Hope as we await these young priests assume roles as bishops, cardinals and eventually a Pope! https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/...e-conservative-than-older-priests-survey-says
There might be a danger that we might be becoming too negative. Of having an attitude of rebellion rather than obedience. Of becoming angry at every small thing wrong. Also there is the danger of viewing things politically. It's true the Pope and the current leadership tends to be left wing, while many of the Faithful tend to be more to the right. But politics are politics and we should not get too mixed up in getting religion and politics mixed up too much. I know things are very, very bad in the Church and I don't hide from this. But on the other hand what can we do but pray? I am not sure if getting too caught up in all this is good at the moment.. Its better to switch it all off a good lot and just pray. That does not mean having our heads in the sand. But I don;t think its good to get into a constant kind of anger or upset about it all. To kind of keep our gaze fixed on Christ. To take a break from it all.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change The courage to change the things I can And the wisdom to know the difference.
Imagine if we get a very, very good, very, very wise Holy Pope but he winds up getting attacked all the time just because we have got into the habit of attacking Popes all the time. That might be the danger at the moment.
Sounds like a very clever tactic of the enemy--turn virtue ( love for true doctrine) onto vice(carping and criticizing and forgetting charity) i have noticed this lack of charity in traditional Catholics. Not all but some.
He would indeed. May God grant us the courage to stand with Our Holy Mother at the foot of his cross.
Too many people are far too sure of themselves and want to push their own agenda. Everybody wants to be their very own Pope
The problem at the moment is not that no one wants to ask questions. The problem may be that everyone wants to ask them
Holy Pope would be crucified brutally. We need more men willing to be Martyred for the cause of Jesus and the Church. As has been told, the Church will become smaller, but holier. I look forward to those days. That is when great conversions will happen. My 20 year old son is going through OCIA right now, because his finance is converting so he is going through it with her. The class is HUGE. It has a lot of young men in the group. And he says they all are desiring more conservative traditional teachings. The young folk are getting it, now we need our leaders to see that is a good thing, not dancing on TikTok to be cool, because that is not attracting the type of future leaders we need. True authentic holiness is
Yes But I am afraid our Church Leadership is still back around the 1965 youth revolution. It's hard to square the circle. It's hard to believe that the Beatles and Woodstock were 65 years ago. Time to move on.
