Yes. One thing really saddens me and that is the confusion. That really, really good and holy and wise people are being misled. That is awful. I heard one very, very holy ,famous priest who has a huge devotion to Our Lady being asked what he thought about what is happening in the Church and he said he is far,far too busy to pay attention. This greatly concerns me. The only person who can prevent us from being too busy is ourselves. Prayer is really important at this present time and if we are not praying we will not see the truth. This perhaps is the main cause of the confusion that people are not praying enough to see through the fog
It reminded me of Christ’s statement in the Gospels about a tower that had fallen, killing several men. It is more than a little disturbing that such an event should happen at such a time, in Rome. Our Lord’s statement was meant as a warning…
I wonder... How would Pope JPII have handled this moment? Perhaps he would not have allowed any photos?
The perfect rebuttal. A couple of Pope John Paul II's encyclicals were on center stage in my diaconate formation. The intrinsic total lack of plausibility concerning approval of such behavior prevented any consideration on his part.
"The Gospel of encounter. Meeting people where they are with love. ... A Church of the Beatitudes". God have mercy on me a sinner but God have mercy on Archbishop Gomez, Pope Leo who should know better, and all concerned!
I don't even know what the church teaches today in regards to sexuality. It is supposed to be that all sexual relations should only happen within a marriage. That there should be no use of birth control. It's not like married couples get away freely in terms of sexuality. Though it appears to me that gays seem to believe this, and that somehow makes them victims. I guess they don't understand that the cross comes to everyone who follows Jesus. It isn't a status thing. It also seems like if active homosexuals are given a blessing, then every lesser sexual sin than homosexuality gets a pass as well. The general message being that it is ok to give into the passions. It's the compromise the church has to make in order to make these same sex blessings. I get it that no one is perfect and we all fall short. Confession exists for exactly this. But at least leave the standard of what we are striving for to exist. Cancelling the Truth of the destructive nature of sin isn't going to help the church. This is only going to come back and bite her heel.
I wish the pope would just no longer receive worldly visitors and spend all his time praying, offering Mass, teaching and writing. It would certainly spare him and us the awkward and scandalous moments like these.
There is one very strange thing in the mystical/spiritual life and that is that someone can appear as very holy, even saintly whilst at the same time being pure poison and evil. St Paul in fact warns us of this in Thessalonians: 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. This is, in fact, what we are experiencing in the Vatican at the moment. A truly massive Satanic deception. We would be wise then to meditate on another scripture on Discernment:

https://onepeterfive.com/anne-catherine-emmerich-the-two-popes-pagans-and-the-pantheon/ 'When I had witnessed this vision even in the smallest details, I saw again the present Pope and the dark church of his time in Rome. It seemed to be a large, old house like a town hall with columns in front. I saw no altar in it, but only benches, and in the middle of it something like a pulpit. They had preaching and singing, but nothing else, and only very few attended it. And lo, a most singular sight! Each member of the congregation drew an idol from his breast, set it up before him, and prayed to it. It was as if each man drew forth his secret thoughts or passions under the appearance of a dark cloud which, once outside, took some definite form.”'

--- Response from a Marian Father in his homily today (10:26--22:33 timestamp): May God bless and multiply the faithful remnant priests who courageously proclaim the eternal truth of Christ's teachings, while calling wayward souls back to God with charity, genuine compassion without compromise, and deep concern for their redemption. Priests who remain true to their vocation, "Our Lady's beloved sons", will always be under her powerful protection and guidance.
